    I’ve set new standard for myself after my life fell apart a few months ago. I walk around Seattle 210lbs at 9% body fat and really enjoy the way I changed myself in a short time. You guys helped me 100% thank you boys

    In life, it's better to have a growth mindset than a fixed mindset. Thanks for some great, relatable conversation. When starting something, it's so easy to be intimidated and forget that people have been doing this for YEARS/DECADES.

    Im trying to be abnormal too! I want to fulfill my fantasy of being the muscular and capable action star from movies I saw in movies as a kid. I'll get as close as I can. Looking forward to this one.

    Good convo. There’s a great book called The Talent Code that breaks down how many (not all) “gifted” folks are really just a result of an insane amount of practice etc..

    Also RT on 33:30 I lifted for 7 years before deadlifting. The year I started deadlifting and squatting (heavy) I had a new phase of "newbie gains" 100%

    Would love to see Martins Licis on the show! Talking about body transformation, fitness culture, male culture, strength, diet, goals... Think it would make for a great show.

    I keep a notebook on different phases in my life and the biggest thing I've learned is "life is all about progress. If I am not making progress in my physical/mental health along with my career and relationship w/my wife then I become depressed". Not sure sometimes if this is a blessing or curse as I am in my head all day long cause of it.

    Hell yeah that's the best part of fasting all day. You can get to town cause of all the calories you have left. The problem is stomach issues after pigging out

    I recently remembered how tasty it is to just toss in a ground bowl or so of whatever the headiest, terpped out bud I have atm into the sauce pan or butter, before frying eggs, cooking beef, etc etc.
    If you have enough herb to try it, I really really suggest it sometime.

    Hey guys !! Love your work !! Listen everyday.
    I have couple questions in regards to us skinny guys out there…what’s a realistic goal for an ectomorph to achieve in regards to size ?

    • @TeamYouphoric
      @TeamYouphoric 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm an ectomorph and the biggest I ever got was 177 and lean at 5'9". It was very difficult to achieve though and even harder to maintain. My body naturally wants to be between 145 and 165.

    • @kyleswanepoel8039
      @kyleswanepoel8039 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TeamYouphoric I can totally relate. I’m 5.10 and weigh 60.5 kgs . As a basis . I reached 70 kgs once before, and those mass gainers were sickening. And always felt full hahahahahaha thank you for your reply

    • @TeamYouphoric
      @TeamYouphoric 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kyleswanepoel8039 you're welcome! I think getting up to 177 is what partially contributed to me getting diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis back in 2010. Was eating 5-6 meals per day and the last meal was a struggle to get down. Took over an hour to eat.

      Slim Gym here (Andrew) and I feel your pain. At my grossest I got up to about 209lbs at about 6'0" on SARMs, then leaned out to around 175lbs for a photo shoot, but I was also on test at the time. Still after everything if I let off the gas, I will drop weight FAST. Unfortunately, the weight that drops off isn't fat lol. I look about the same, just lighter. Your question was about "realistic goals", for myself I don't think it is out of the question to be 180lbs with abs and decent size. Decent for me at least. Over the winter I had a goal of hitting 190lbs without getting "fat" and I feel I did ok and maintained 187-190 consistently. I don't remember a time when I received complements on my size from just thumbnail pics here on YT (Thanks everyone). I got sick recently and lost 7lbs so I'm trying to eat up a bit and get back in the gym on a regular basis. If I have to, I can drop back down to 175lbs and probably look better these days then the last time I was at that weight. Take Nsima's advice when it comes to all of this, base everything around your performance in the gym. If you feel great and things are working, the size, physique and strength will come. If you feel like crap, something isn't working. I really like what Ben Pollack had to say in ep 664. The link below cuts right to the conversation about skinny dudes, but check out the whole thing if you have time. Thanks for the great question. Link: th-cam.com/video/a5PCHDBQU-E/w-d-xo.html

    Chips suck cause you can only usually have 15 of them and they are like 10 calories each so you are 150 and no one can stop at 15 of them.

  • @arthurfonzarelli9828
    @arthurfonzarelli9828 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love chips so much but they are the worst when it comes to wasting your calories. Key for me is don't buy them.
