5x5 Showdown: HLG 650R Diablo vs. HLG 600Rspec (Featuring my new PPFD measuring machine!)

  • The 650R Diablo and 600Rspec from Horticulture Lighting Group are 2 great lights for a 5x5 tent, but there's a pretty significant cost difference between the 2. Is the 650R Diablo worth the extra cash for your 5x5 grow? Maybe these PPFD test results in a 5'x5' tent can help you decide.

      Till u realize par doesnt even measure the absolute spectrum and or that par is only to measure effeciency. Youll see way more difference in spectral quality affecting yeild and potency than par. Dli is a proper measuring system and for the love of god put some fucking optics on these lights. Surely you guts remimber burning ants with a magnifing glass right? Well then wtf are yall being stupid fir lol. The knowledge is easily obtained and dont forget basics lmfao damn ants. the 600 r spec is on even better sale now. not sure how long i just picked one up for 700 shipped directly from hlg. the 650r is still 1100. i really want the 650r but there is a considerable price difference between the two. the 600 r spec will be replacing a 400w hps so its going to be a huge major upgrade for me!

    They updated the 600rspec recently so you can't get the one in this video anymore. They change the spectrum from originally having all 3500k with 660nm too now having 3k and 5k mixed with 660nm. HLG claims there updated version of the rspec is even better. So the new rspec should have a little better numbers then this old version.

    Fantastic test, pretty much setting a new benchmark! Any possible retesting with modifications to spread the the boards out further? This middle hot spot most lights exhibit is really not very practical unless you are growing a single tree, with a lot of ceiling height at that. It would be nice to see where the boards have to be located to get near perfect coverage and would also allow the fixture to be lowered no doubt. Thanks for a great video, its innovators like yourself that really pull the weight in many social media platforms.

    • @LEDGardener
      @LEDGardener  3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have the 650r well worth it your video helped me pick my light i had got some spider farmer and was not happy with the coverage i am replacing 1000w de fixtures and the spider farmers would take more than 1 sf 4000 per plant and my plants still wanted more light so i ordered more lol well i got mix matching lights with different chip lay out and. well a company with no phone number and oh so sorry we send in a month right parts you fix we give deal crap is for suckers and something a reputable company would never do in the first place. And at 600 a light total crap. just so people looking for a light spider farm finds growers on youtube asks them to use the light sends them a amazon gift card number for lights they get light leave review like they paid for it make a video you get played into think they are a real honest opinions of the light they are paid to sucker you. if you have never grow or used a good light you don't know how bad you are getting played.

    Maybe we should fight the long entrenched cultural requirement that grow spaces must contain right angles. Corners suck. How about a circular grow room, with a circular fixture. Perhaps even a parabolically shaped circle as inspiration for novel curved quantum PCB. Like the old school parabolic reflectors for HPS and MH lamps, except covered in diodes.
