I think it's a better life because it has more of the Samsung LEDs rather than the green. ones. Looks like they took some of the Samsung ones out and replace them with the green ones and made the Light cheaper

    How about those RDJ Bouns 720W bar fixture lights on Amazon for $325. They're always recommended for price, and I purchased one when my Alibaba bar fixture driver failed, and I needed a quick replacement.
    I was really bummed out, because your MIGRO 750 was coming out a month later. Had to keep the lights on though, and this has worked okay since July.
    It'd be interesting to see a review, and they'd probably send you one. There motto, "To make a light that will not break", lol, was pretty funny. Definitely a Chinese company, like many.
    Thanks for all you do Shane!

    correct me if im wrong, but most of the lights were tested with the old par-spectrum right? While some,. including the Migro aray, were measured with epar? That means the other lights look worse than they actually are because you have to add 3-5%umol, right?

    • @MIGROLIGHT
      @MIGROLIGHT  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, you are correect. There is 1 to 2% far red in most led fixtures with white LEDs. The fixtures in this list were tested over about three years. I would have tested the last 1.5 to 2 years with the ePAR meter and before that the Apogee SQ500 and Spoton meter which do not detect that 2 to 3% far red.

    Okay so maybe I’m missing something here… but isn’t the total cost after 3 years figured by adding the initial cost of the light to the cost of operating the light for 3 years? IF SO (and maybe I’m wrong) then these total are incorrect. At least the first 5 are incorrect. Like I said possibly I’m doing something wrong here. ANY help would be greatly appreciated as I am trying to make an informed decision😅 4:17

    @regularSenseAppeal 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    How do you calculate avg PAR? You said you calculated running cost @ 800 µmols/(5x5)/sec. However the numbers shown for PAR vary wildly from that. Are the shown values measurements of the lights running @ 100%? Did you simply extrapolate from the measurements @100% to reach the running costs? That would be somewhat misleading as some lights will run @ 100% to reach avg. of 800 while others would have to be dialled down a to more efficient ranges. Wouldn't it be more illustrative to show the intensity grid when they actually reach 800µmols and the wattage used? I realise that making all those measurements would be exhausting but you don't get a true representation of hotspots nor running costs when the intensities vary that much.

    What was the reasoning behind 800umol? What measurement device was used and was it calibrated each time?

    • @MIGROLIGHT
      @MIGROLIGHT  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      800umol average is a middle number or average PAR I use for comparison purposes. It equates to 35 Mols per day which is a good performance level. Various PAR meters used from apogee and Innoquest. They only require calibration every 12 months but I get new ones sent to me free so I just change up.

      @@MIGROLIGHT why would you use different uncalibrated meters in a scientific test? The aim is to reduce variables, not add new ones. It is if you are being genuine that is.

    I noticed something very interesting. I was mesuring PAR levels of differnet lights, with two differentAPP and all worked out well. I have an LED flloodlight and with both app, showed (unreal) very low PAR level, but the interesting thing is that the closer I put my meter to the floodlight the smaller the PAR level get. Why is that happenenig, does anyone know what the limitation we see here with mobile APPS? Does it happened with anyon else?

    dimlux extreme 750w o 100wHello, good afternoon, I really like your videos. I have a Dimlux and I would love to hear your opinion about it. They have a multispectral sensor on the digital screen, nominal pt correction area, it's amazing. I hope you can take a look at it. The digital screen has everything, apart from the 140W UV+NIR controller. I hope you get a response. Thank you for your content.

    Best regards. Thanks for your information. Any thoughts on using a combination of LED light s pectrum with a 450 Watt Metal Halide for Veg. Then HPS for Bloom.? Transformer has dimmer capacity. Or would you think a full out LED set up would bring better results? Once again best regards and appreciate your thoughts on this combination? Grow Space being 2mx2m
