I can’t believe throughout the whole movie polkadot Man sees everyone as his mom. Imagine how he saw staro😂😂😂
I mean, they kinda show it at the end.
Did you not see the movie?
@@princeCustos324 Ah shoot, sorry now I remember
Imagine how he saw batman
@@ghddoesstuff He would look like an over weight batman cosplayer.
The saddest thing is that due to his condition, even as an adult he couldn't find any legitimate form of employment. Hence, crime was his only option.
That's always a good route for a villain origin if you want a decent human being forced to turn to crime.
In Batman Earth One Volume 2 they introduce Waylon Jones who the news outlets name Killer Croc. He's a man with a form of genetic disorder who was sold to a carnival, had his teeth forcibly sharpened, and put on display as the crocodile boy in a sideshow attraction.
He eventually got out and in his adult years the condition only worsened so he has a greenish skin tone and his complexion is akin to reptilian scales.
He tells a story about how he went to a deli to get something to eat and was even trying to pay for his food and the owner panicked and shot him based on his appearance. So Waylon instead lives in the sewers away from society.
It's a great origin for the character and makes him more compelling then a simply dumb brute character type.
@@ToonGrinfunniest thing for Croc’s origin stories is that his very FIRST one is where he was a mob boss in Gotham. Instead of being horribly mutated like most versions these days, he looked like the one from Arkham Origins instead but always wore a suit and even had henchmen. My guy was straight up built different and had class to back it. Shame DC has made him much more broken.
Demolition, Fracking, Salt mine extraction, Quarry digger, landfill burner… there’s a few jobs.
@@4aw50fGoldIt would be interesting to see Croc in one of those jobs. If an employer was able to get pass the initial disturbing features and fear of being eaten someone like Croc could be a real asset.

I remember watching this movie with my little brother, who had already seen it, and the part where he was like, "I'm a superhero!" made me so happy! I actually said out loud, "I really like him!" with the biggest smile on my face, I looked at my brother and he was just sitting wide-eyed cause he knew the next scene was his death scene. 😅😅 I was so upset!
Damn, I'm sorry😅
That's hilarious, I would've made the same face
I dont like watching new movies/shows with others so i watch them first before i show my family. It often leads to situations like this. I kept giving my mothers friend a side eye while we watched a show because she loved three characters who all died
I can't believe the polka dot man is what's made me finally want to watch this movie
The guy who plays polka has been in several dc movies like the dark knight and gotham
Edit : thank you everyone for all the likes
I wonder if he is The Prescence
Maybe
Hes also in the gotham tv show hes the one who takes the jokers face or well one of them😂
He was also in Dark Night as the cop two face kidnapped i think, and wasnt he in ant man
@@DEPTIC09 now i do know, he is The Prescence
He died a sad death he screamed I'm. A SUPERHERO AT THE LAST battle and got crushed
If you ask me this is how it’s done when it comes to having an emotional scene end with humor.
A funny and ridiculous scene that is carried through the tone
Its a art .majority of ppl in hollywood dont get the flow
And that’s James Gunn for you😭he has a pretty messed up mind for his earlier works but guardians of the galaxy and the suicide squad are solid
Never forget you, Polka Dot Man 😭😭😭 he stole my heart even after initially thinking he'd be lame
I felt so bad for him. The best time in his life i think was at the bar. 😢
.... And before he got crushed 😂
Wasn't that moment in the bar when all those girls looked like his mom. Unless he was drunk his reaction make me have even more concerns for him😂😂
Rip polka dot man, he just wanted to be a hero
I love the fact they put her in every costume for these scenes xD
I’m really glad they made polka dot man more interesting - this new way of explaining his powers gives so much depth
I'm so sad he died, he deserved happiness.
He got it. And freedom. When be died
He did get happiness right at the very end before his life was taken from him.
Just when things were going good for him life had to take it away
He literally died happy. Honestly compared to how everyone else went it was a good death.
honestly maybe starro crushing him was for the best...
man got to live being a super hero and he went out on a high note
This must have been such a fun scene to film
Damn Polkadot man should have lived that's sad how he grew up
Surprisingly, and I would never say this normally, Polka Dot Man was easily a top 3 character in this film. Great actor as well.
One of my friends watched this with me for the first time. He about jumped out of his seat and then laughed hysterically about how many outfits they had her wear just for these few seconds of screen time
Its rumored that he swallowed the infinity stones...

Waller may see those in Task Force X as nothing but expendable assets and tools but some of them like Polka Dot Man are victims who were dealt bad hands in life that they didn't deserve.
This is how you do exposition well. Take notes phase 4 marvel
DC releases maybe 1 movie a year and Marvel cranks out multiple. I enjoy both and I find it strange that people die on one specific hill just because they’re haters.
Marvel does much better number wise, though.
@@Monkey_11marvel isn't doing that hot numbers wise recently with james gunns new dc universe im predicting a massive shift in dc movies popularity considering how great what he's already done for dc is
@@braedenbelgrove9878 no I totally agree but this has been a semi recent thing. They’re definitely started to tank and DC is doing the opposite.
@@Monkey_11 I love both. My two favorite heroes are Black Panther and Superman. I totally agree that DC has dropped the ball multiple times. I feel like they have hopefully turned the corner. Phase 4 marvel writing is killing me though. A lot of it is just terrible.
Really had fun watching this DC film.
This guy’s tragic backstory is beyond heartbreaking. 😢
It's sad he dies when fighting the starfish 😢
At least he didn’t have to look at his mom anymore
@@donet0death240I hope he saw the starfish as his mom 😂
And he was the one who did the most damage to Starro and fucking Gunn killed him off lol
Polkadot man decided to create the Polkadot Crypto. He is living happily now.
Hos mom looks like exactly the kind of person who would do that.
What confuses me is that according to interviews, James Gunn said that this scene was supposed to make you dislike Polka Dot man, because “he was using his sob story to get people to like him”, but like, he only brought this up after the others aggressively forced him to.
That's so dumb. There's no indication that he's some snake trying to get sympathy from people for his own advantage.
Yeah like all he did was answer exactly what they asked. The only part that was unprompted was how he got it in response to "the fuck is that?" which is still not that bad of an answer.
That's weird. Kinda wish we got gunn's vision. It makes sense for the comic character i guess. He's a villain. Instead this is sad.
What? I love him more now. Goofy thought process
So we're supposed to hate the antihero/antivillain for having feelings and a past...
Damn I remember crying so hard listening to him talk about his siblings deaths. Then that final shot of his mom everywhere made me absolutely lose it. Great writing, acting, editing and vision. Still watch this movie to this day…

Polka dot man legit might have one of the most tragic and traumatic back stories ever. Your mother experimenting on you and your siblings watching them die for her vain and sick dream and now living with seeing your worst fear in every face.
I just realized, if polka dot man sees a shirtless dude at the beach, does that mean he sees his mom shirtless?
Wait hold up
Bro is a great actor. He has just become one with being the weird one
Polka dot man was a really great character i felt so sorry for him when hearing his tragic backstory
I was really happy with how they handled someone like Polka-Dot Man… someone who has always been seen as a joke in the comics.
He wasn’t just a one-note villain to laugh at, and you actually feel sorry for him.
Wish they didn’t kill him off :(
fr he had the best arc in the movie
Such the sad background and great arc for this character
"I'm a fucking superhero! " splat
I really hated that he died, he was the most innocent among them.
True
If you look closely , even Sebastian is his mom .
One of the best tricks of the century, best visual gag
I have a theory that the origins that gave him his powers is also the reason he sees his mom everywhere. Since its an “inter dimensional virus” its possible his mother got shattered across dimensions so hes seeing every version of her from each dimension
"YOU KNOW WHAT THAT IS?? *IT'S YOUR MUM!!!!!!* "
This dude have infinity stone in his face
I can’t imagine looking at the same person as everyone I would lose my shit
Especially when that person is your mom.
This made Polka Dot man from a goofy villain into a seriously tragic figure. Poor dude.
he honestly did not deserve to die, dude watched his brothers and sisters forcibly take a virus to become super heros
Bro, that end-scene blew my mind.
Polka Dot: “Its a inter dimensional virus”
Peacemaker: “fuk is dat”
This was genuinely the one character i wanted to see more of. And they took him out like he was a fodder character.
I love the tone of this movie. It's incredible how the movie blends drama and humor without any difficulty.
This was one of the best parts of the film. Serious and hilarious. Dasmalchian is the best comic book actor. Always a wildcard and very distinctive and believable.
Ik the lady that played his mom had a blast getting to dress up as everybody 😂
Talk about the gift that keeps on giving
the realization that the actress had the honor to have each costume perfectly fitted for her
The realisation that CGI has been a thing for many years now...
Aye nice giving polka dot man some good energy with a youtube clip! Fun fact: i have a valuable signed by thr actor funko pop of polka dot man its so awesome!
Best scene in the movie
Origin Story of the average Reddit mod
You gotta understand she wore the entire suicide squad
😂 the mom in a Peacemaker suit was hilarious
We all assumed he was just traumatized, but watching this back when he says "everywhere"... I think in her experiments she messed up with space and time, and in some plane of reality that only he can see : she genuinely left a part of her in every living human.
Perfect example for the entire dceu. Tremendous potential squandered in pursuit of marvels coattails.
David Dastmalchian kills it in every role he's in. He did an episode of cinema therapy recently, I highly recommend it.
David Dastmalchian is such a great actor. He deserves more credit than he gets.
The norman bates reference gets me all the time
I think the most accurate illusion of his mom would be nanahue’s
it's so tragic but you can't help but laugh a little at the end. it makes perfect sence to that he'd have ptst from something like that.
I don't remember they random dude with full facial hair being on the team ?
He’s one of the freedom fighters that kill the dictator at the end
I respect the courage of continuing to live when everyone looks like your mom. That is messed up.
I am not familiar with Polka Dot Man but holy shit I did not expect everyone to be his mother.
Yeah in the comics he was less tragic and more a villain of the week. He was more tech based, his dots had a lot of functions, like one dot can be thrown as a projectile that turns into a flying buzzsaw, another dot can turn into a hover board for flying, one dot can turn into a sun that blinds people like a flashbang, and, just like the movie version, throws dots that melts stuff like acid.
The ending, was the best your mom joke. HEY YOU SEE THAT BIG MONSTER THERE! THATS YOUR MOM
David Dastmalchian is awesome bruh. He's one of those actors where you don't realize how often you see him unless you really think about it. Antman 1, 2 and 3, Dune, Prisoners, The Suicide Squad, Bird Box. He's also a Nolan regular. He plays a role in quite a few of his movies. He's also a Villeneuve regular which is crazy because theres an argument to be made that they're the 2 best modern directors. This guy has a crazy resume and most have no idea.
I cant believe he can still differentiate reality and his trauma
