I followed this process earlier today. From start to finish it only took me about 30 mins: also i only took the upper column cover off after pressing the little tabs in on both sides of the lower column. Thanks for showing how easy it is to replace these cluster bulbs.
This is probably a goofy question...what gauge of cluster bulbs do I need for a 2007 Ford Focus? That is what I have but where I fm, no one knows and I would like to change them out. All three are out. Thanks for any help! And thank you for the video!
At 1:50 and 4:50 instead of messing with that rubber piece just take the upper column cover off. Press the little tabs in front of the turn and wiper stalks and the column cover and gauge bezel comes off as a unit. That rubber part is difficult to reattach from my experience.
One thing to be careful of is that the metal clips on the bezel will scratch up the clear lens if you're not careful. Put some tape of the bottom half of the lens if you care about your car enough.
Smashing, two more done :-)) I really like that connector, such a neat idea and requires very little force to remove or install, If i ever do one ill persuade the owner to get a full set of new bulbs as they are likely to all be the same age. The haynes manual allways made me laugh, it plodded you through removing loads of parts to repair something, then it said "assembly is the reverse of disassembly". With a pile of parts and the owner crapping himself you did your best to read the book backwards, as you could not quite remember some of the steps lol.
Hi, I have Ford Car (Ford Fiesta 2006). Recently, half of the speedometer light was blinking and then went off. All other light works, only speedometer light from middle (70km) to rest doesn't work. Please advice me what might be the problem, any light bulb or fuse or anything els. Thanks.
Hi Richpin! and hopefully you get a chance to answer me !!, look I have a 2007 Ford focus US legalized here in Mexico, has a little problem is that when you lightly touch the accelerator, then it accelerates to gradually lower the RPM to idle the body acceleration including butterfly are plastic, I was completely clean the entire body including the control valve idle, but the problem persists, touch the accelerator, the loose, but the rpm continue to rise later to lower idling, I have seen some videos about this car here on TH-cam and call him "" sticking throttle "" I hope you can give me a comment !!! ... Best regards !!!
Can you tell me how much does it cost to replace a cluster for a 2003 Ford Focus I had it done to my car and feel that the guy ripped me off and he stood with the car for 2 months

I'd give an arm and a leg right about now just to know the exact number of the bulbs needed for my Ford Focus 2007 instrument cluster so that I can order them online. But apparently the internet just doesn't want to let me figure the size out no matter how much I search, nor does the non-stop rain outside want to let me open up my car and check. Anyone, please help.
+David Bucio old thread, but I just bought a used Focus and couldn't find the dang bulbs. The bulbs are Sylvania #37LL if you don't need to replace the sockets. Advance Auto carries them $5 for 2, or you can find a 10-pk for about the same price.
I want to add that bulb 2721 fit perfectly for me. I didn't use them in the dash cluster. I used them in the climate control panel. The comments on this video helped me figure the bulb I needed so why not add this on here to help someone else out.

You can, but you need to scrape off the green tint that is on the cover with sandpaper.

Do you have to recode the car after? With the keys?

I would give my all to save a Google search on the type of replacement bulbs needed for The Ford Focus (which ones you would recommenced).
Off the top of my head i do not know the number of the bulbs.

For future people searching for this info - I found that 37LL were too big for my 2007 Focus, but 2721 fit perfectly.
