Shave Chaser is our latest EPIC Homage…to Skin Bracer!
Not sure if you know this or not but, Skin Bracer dates all the way back to 1931! Ninety-One years old. AMAZING! (talk about staying power)- Fun Fact: Skin Bracer was kind of a new concept at the time in the USA when the popular aftershave of the day was good ol Bay Rum! Being a bold move that really paid off, it may have been Skin Bracer that inspired a slew of other more modern, mentholated, cheap, drugstore splashes to follow, Like Aqua Velva, Seaforth, Old Spice, etc. You gotta love the trailblazers!
Scent Profile:
Top Notes: Citrus, Bergamot, Menthol
Middle Notes: Floral, Heliotrope, Balsamic
Bottom Notes: Amber, Musk, Vanilla

Lol I got about 90% eaten. My dog ended up eating my rice 🤦♂️ but it felt like a different day as the sammie was setting in my belly lol

CK6 ranks among the top soap bases in my den. For my problematic skin it checks every box, and nourishes enough that I can avoid a balm - perfect for times when daily shaving is required. Always a top recommendation.

"Avoid a balm" ----- That is just the kind of experience report I want to know. Now, I WOULD try to buy one of the P.A.A. shaving soaps, but I already found a popular recent soap at a close-out/overruns store, so,... buying a new shave soap will be a long while.

Sounds like a good soap. The sandwich is another story all together. When I first saw it I thought it might eat you! Thankfully, I was wrong because I like your videos.
I have a tub of CK6 but I don’t use it as much as Stirling because I’m pressed for time. It is good stuff though.
I’m always up for a chomper challenge lol. Eat or be eaten as they say. Yeah I have a quicker lather build with CK6 if I face lather (especially with a few days growth)

It’s called a Torta Cubana. A small Mexican restaurant nearby serves them but I googled them so you may be able to find them around
I'm glad you reported on this, as I would probably have gotten the aftershave and been disappointed. I used Skin Bracer just this morning and I love it, and would like something that lasted longer. I bought the "Et Tu" expecting it to be a longer lasting version of Brut, but it's totally lame. PAA is so variable on their aftershave/colognes, with some that last all day and can be overpowering if over used, and others that are lucky to hang around any longer than cheap drugstore stuff. At least whether they are weak or potent they usually smell pretty darn good.
Good call. Yeah I don’t put a ton on but I know someone else that had it said still medium strength at 4 hours
Own a few CK6s in the den, my fave being Atomic Bay Rum, recommend I'd you haven't tried. Does the job well, has decent skin food and you really feel Doug and Fran's passion in these products. LOVE this video, PAA and jalapenos, this is a bit of me haha.

But ive driven far for good food before and middleton isnt bad at all especially if i go get my haircut at blue chip at the same time so my whole trip isnt just for a sandwich, my wife might be more accepting of killing 2 birds with one stone lol

I tried PAA CK-6 soap. It is labeled as "Official Scent of The Phoenix Shaving Fan Club!" It smells like licorice. I do not like the smell of licorice. Nothing on the container or on the website says it smells like licorice. That is very annoying. I will not be buying more of their soaps.

On the website, 1K literally has anise and licorice in the list of scent notes.....
You could allow more leniency in your judgement. Look for any descriptions of the scents or fragrances you can find in TH-cam reviews videos, the PAA website on each product, or some of the online merchants of shaving products.
41 comments in 2 hours!!?? Your video struck a chord, that’s for sure. PAA makes good soap, especially the CK6 formula. I have the Atomic Age Bay Rum (which is about 9.5 on the scent scale). I thought you handled the aftershave splash review comment very tactfully (you said the bare minimum, and obviously used the bare minimum). I’m not much of a splash man either! Balm suits me better. As for the “sandwich”… er… I won’t go there. Cheers. 👍🪒
