My last GS450H covered 229,000 (same engine/same transmission/original hybrid battery) and never broke down. I know Lexus can be boring in comparison to other options in the same class but for me, I will choose safety and reliability over new bling bling technology.
I couldn't agree more with what your saying, I know my points are not facts it's just my opinion and taste and which I'm aware is not to everyones taste... Lexus are renown for there incredible reliability which is a credit to there brand!

I have had several Lexus cars, my current one is a Lexus RC300h f sport. I can’t fault the reliability and service given by the Lexus dealers. Reviewers never given a balanced view, they have vehicle for a day or less, and so often they don’t know how the vehicle fully works.
I have to say I do like tactil buttons and switches it means you can actually carry out an operation or change a function while you are driving with using just touch. This is not possible on a touchscreen so that is good work from Lexus
You didn't mention the kick boot opener and closer and un lock functions, the fantastic heads up display, all the safety features and the fantastic road handling, suspension and sound proofing. illuminating scuff plates, the rotating and really bright headlights, the heated steering wheel. This is my second RX450h and they are fantastic cars, I would say 100% better than other SUV's my opinion, unless you drive one for a few weeks you won't appreciate what a fantastic car the RX is.
You're correct it does have a fantastic amount of technology available to use with lots of modern functions so it does not fall short on that front I just felt the exterior appearance wasnt something of a luxury SUV.. this is my own opinion and I understand not everyone will agree 👍

I’m in Canada and like you, I quite enjoy the aesthetics of a Landrover. I wonder though.... are they as unreliable there as they are here? In Canada, Landrover spends quite a bit of time in the shop.... they are known here for poor build quality.

The timber "isn't very nice"? Every piece of wood in a car comes from the same tree, meaning the grain matches in everywhere within the car, which is quality and actual attention to detail. I suppose some plastic made to look like metal is better or perhaps some faux carbon fibre. Please. The dash - is it the greatest "looking" no, but it all works and it's going to work forever. Also everyone always comments on the CD player, well the point of the player allows you to play lossless audio - why have an amazing stereo you then stream Spotify through? I've just done this Shop and I admit Lexus was at the bottom of the list but actually that's the one I've gone for. GLE rolls like crazy the headrests are made from stone and the interior looks great intially until you touch it and realise it's straight out of a tarts handbag, Landover looks great, gonna break, definitely who actually needs proper 4x4? X5 too basic at the price. Volvo, very nice not great economy actually the more 'modern' dash is dating very quick. But it would be a close second. Bentayga granted I'd be looking at 2/3 year old but bling bling how could I park it at work without everyone thinking I'm a twat. And that's it, basically people noticing the Lexus may think it's a bit safe, they'll probably respect that you've chosen a high quality product over outright style but they absolutely won't think "wanker".
Unlike in other countries / territories, the Philippine-spec Lexus RX models sadly do not have: -Blind Spot Monitoring -Rear Cross Traffic Alert -Heads Up Display Would the absence of these features be a deal-breaker? (especially from a safety perspective)

You must be kidding. You have to have two of them, because one is always in service.... The quality offered by Lexus is something 1.000 miles far from any Premium car offers (including BMW, MB, Audi... Bentley???) So if you are looking for really luxury car which smooth runs a decade from now, you are on right path... Your taste for style is not relevant to anybody neither to me of course so please omit your comments next time you are trying to be smart guy... You prefer Landrover hahahahahaha so go ahead and by Landrover instead.... it will be all your fault :-)

@@honesthamish5334 Greetings Hamish, I had my heart set on an Autobiography RR and an Evoque and a close friend of mine has a RR Vogue and in 11 mths it has been in the garage 6+ and it has already cost him $11k+ in legal fees. He then told me there are more than 350 legals against J/LR. As for your opinions, they are OK but in all reality too much my friend. Always recognize that any manufacturer cannot get it right for everybody otherwise we would all be driving black Fords!
Just to educate you, Takumi actually means 'artisan'. You aren't doing enough justice to this car, you really need to do done more research. The Lexus RX are classy, stylish, reliable, practical and comfortable cars.

My view has changed alot since I've made these videos.. as you grow you realise what's more important in everything...regarding vehicles reliability is key and Lexus offer exactly that so criticism taken in board and I agree with your point for sure 👍

I just encountered this a year after posting. Honestly, you can't start comparing an RX to a Bentayga. Good job, but you got a lot of bad attitude towards this car. That's what usually happens when someone in Britain reviews a Japanese product. You might think it's a Land Rover they are reviewing. Lexus Reliability for me wins over Land Rover road presence that will get you to your mechanic every now and then.
I totally understand where your coming from as you speak sense and facts... with my reviews I know there not full of facts but I honestly do not profess to know everything there is statistically around each car I just try to give an honest opinion from my point of view.. So British and backward. Overall they've lost the plot by losing all of their brands the few remaining to the Germans and Indians. Lexus is hugely respected in the US for top quality and reliability. Land Rover and Range Rover are poor in reliability data even after being saved by Tata of India who invested billions in them and Jaguar to improve quality and reliability. Check JD Power and Consumer Reports data which analyzes 700, 000 cars a year. Another Brit reviewer said on TH-cam that they have never heard of Infiniti which is the luxury brand from Nissan the 2nd largest car manufacturer in the UK. Very poor impression of British reviewers and brands.

For £60k wouldn't you like a BMW X5 or X4, a Volvo XC60 or even XC90? I agree, the aesthetics are ugly just like Toyotas and the interior is so 2005.
