My 400H is a workhorse with 200k ....runs amazing, and I still get great mpg, and the hybrid battery 🔋🔋🔋 lasts....mines 14 years old already running strong AF!
@@laja82 yes! , And I drove her through a flood about 4ft deep. I'm sure the battery will start to die in the next few years but I'll replace it. The truck is just worth it IMO....and my kid needs to learn how to drive soon 🔜
Here is the stupid thing though... The regular RX takes regular gas, and the hybrid takes premium... Any small improvement on mileage you get is canceled by the extra price per gallon... not to mention, a hybrid powerplant is more complex, heavy, expensive, so you're really not gaining from a financial point of view ... Or from a performance point of view ... Or anything really except to say "oh I drive a hybrid"... meh ....
This comment is extremely inaccurate in many many ways. The Hybrid does not need premium fuel whatsoever, I get 800-900 km per tank. So no, from a financial point of view you save a lot considering the 450H is only 1.5k more. The minimal loss of power is greatly overweighed by the fuel efficiency... Toyota's Hybrid cars are extremely reliable, and not complex whatsoever if you need maintenance... literally any shop can help you with service.... Should I lease a 2022 RX 450h for $499 with $3999 down and possibly buy it at the end of lease if we like it or should I buy a 2018 RX 450h for $38999 with 51k miles LOADED with panoramic sunroof etc, etc..???
Well man, i did that with my work lexus IS 2008 in 2011, i bought it aftet the lease with 12 k kms, i didn't lease a 2012 IS and I enjoyed it till 2020, I'm planning to get new nx plug in but I'll drive it to the ground, at 41 I already start to get tired of csr payments. All the best.

I have the regular RX 350, 2020 model and it is a gas guzzler for sure. Also, at 1,000 miles the center trim piece on the passenger side dash visibly started to detach from the dash. The passenger side front door is also not properly aligned. Disappointed in Lexus. When I mentioned the trim issue the service manager said "that's not really something we could fix here." Done with Lexus!
its stupid to use manual shifters i that e-cvt for upshiftuing or "sporty driving ! these shifters are only for setting lower gears when on a long downgrade to improve better enginebraking becaus ethe Hybrid system doesnt do this for you !

the ev mode button works only if the engine is warmed up, the hybrid system is warmed up, and if theres enough charge in the battery. when you see the ev mode indicator on the dash, then you can engage ev mode. keep in mind, you can only drive up to 1 mile on ev power alone

@@EagleWolfSparrow depends on how I drive. Between 22 mpg all the way up to 30 mpg....I'm sure I could get 35, bit that's not how I drive 😂

The manual shift mode is not made for that, the purpose is to use a lower gear when going down a hill and use the engine break.

Combined 30 mpg on hybrid vs 22 mpg for gas.
Nope, We have one and you struggle to get 24mpg, Go for the Highlander hybrid, Chrysler Pacifica, or Sienna Hybrid instead.

Pause at the 8:50 mark - that chrome piece that runs along the center dash and over to the vent is falling out in my new Lexus! Seriously! Come on!
