This is simply the best video on cyanosis on the internet . I struggled learning about it for almost a year, wish I knew it was simply one click away. Thank you!
Respected Sir, Sir your video about Cyanosis was awesome In your video If a person with Hb 15 g/dL ,20g/dL and 10 g/dL Gets cyanosed... Assuming that there is 5g/dL deoxyHb in all of them and other is oxyHb Then on calculating... The percentage of saturation of Hb for O2 10 out of 15. 66.66% 15 out of 20. 75% 5 out of 10. 50% Sir why this numbers are not matching with yours... Where I am doing wrong... Please guide sir, Thank you...
Hi brother, if you see this reply now, it'll be helpful, Actually how to calculate that 50%,66% bro? By using the hb lvl and reduced hb lvl, if you explain it , it would be really helpful brother, thanks
Thanks for pointing out the clinical significance! Great video. But I almost burst out laughing when you pointed at 10 mg/dl and said it was half the normal Hb level which was 15 mg/dl.
I mean great talk, but the pulse oximeter is just as problematic in conditions of anemia. It might show you a high saturation because much of the hemoglobin is oxygenated, but if there are few red blood cells carrying that proportionally high fraction of oxgenated over deoxygenated hemoglobin, you will still have a hypoxic patient. I mean the pulse ox is less subjective so it's better in that way, but it doesn't adress the anemia problematic.
I was laying on my stomach for about 15 min with my feet up behind me on my phone… when I got up my feet were a blue-ish purple! It really scared me today. 😯 I’m 40 and have never seen this before. Maybe my feet were up too long with out proper blood flow cause the blood to pool away from my feet. 🫠 getting old is fun

Thanks a lot for this lucid presentation. It has straightened out all the kinks in my concept regarding hypoxeia and cyanosis.
I'm not even English native and I can understand almost everything you say. Fantastic! Thank You!
You are the best teacher, thank you so much

I had blue tongue yesterday morning but it gone away quickly should I still be worried?

Could any of this be caused by anorexia ?
Thanks a million 😘😘👍
i had a bad panic attack and i turned blue because of hyperventilation, is that cyanosis?
