    When ordering off the BBR website did you order them as quantity 1 being one set of springs or did you order as quantity 2 as its two separate springs. Trying to order but do not want to order 4 fork springs, also don’t want just one. Thanks!

    I weigh 155 would you upgrade the front and rear?

    • @DirtRider22a
      @DirtRider22a  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Just the front, adjust the preload on the rear to stiffen it a little

  • @austin3d4
    @austin3d4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Have you upgraded the rear shock spring too or just the front? I just bought a 2023 and im like 225 and I can tell it needs and upgrade for sure.

    • @DirtRider22a
      @DirtRider22a  ปีที่แล้ว

      I was able to just set the rear preload to about 2” of sag and it was fine for me, I only weigh around 165. I would upgrade front and rear if I was you

  •  ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Would you consider getting the BBR rear shock spring also?

    • @DirtRider22a
      @DirtRider22a  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would say if your heavier than 170lbs then yes, if your heavier than 220 then you may need to spend more on a new shock and spring from what I’ve seen people say on the forums

      The bbr rear spring made a world of difference, feels like a actual dirt bike now

    I have a crf150f, would I also need to put a bbr back suspension as well?

    • @DirtRider22a
      @DirtRider22a  ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on weight, if your around my weight (160) the stock rear spring might be good enough, especially if you adjust the preload to match your weight

      @@Hei527 you can google or TH-cam dirtbike preload adjustment and watch a few videos on it but there are 2 “nuts” or collars on the rear shock that can be used to stiffen or loosen the rear spring on the shock

    I am guessing that removing the sleeves will make for longer travel. I am using XR 250R forks on my F.

    • @matthewlillie9325
      @matthewlillie9325 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I went from an XR 250 R to a CRF 250 F. I’m not happy with the 250 F because it feels very heavy. Washes out and corners. If I change to XR to 50 are forks, would that solve the problem? Does the B4rr springs help? Trying to make it feel lighter than it is not sure if it’s worth it. Or should I just sell it?

    • @DirtRider22a
      @DirtRider22a  ปีที่แล้ว

      @matthewlillie9325 given the price of the bbr springs, I would try it before you go through the trouble of selling it personally. But that’s all on you and what you want, it is a good improvement in my opinion

      @cwalton56 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I talked briefly with Bruce Triplett about 4-5 months ago about using the XR250 forks, he seemed like he didn't think it would work well since the XR forks are longer travel and length. I would like to hear how well they work. I got the Bruce Triplett heavier springs and modified damper rods, but I'm not happy with that setup. Too harsh.
