What always amazes me and makes me think is: A lot of the Resistance fighters don't have helmets and vests, I've seen some in sneakers. My thought is, they are prepared to die for what they are fighting for whereas IOF are in tanks and kitted to the max because they are afraid to die as they don't have a legitimate reason for what they are doing.
Plus, many of their soldiers are conscripts who would rather be somewhere else, like playing computer games.
They haven an functioning state therefore they have money. So the military can give theren soldiers proper gear. Better gear = better soldier.
It’s the same like in motogp, if they wouldn’t have those suits they wouldn’t survive those crashes. The gear improves the capabilities and survivability from soldiers and just because you have proper gear doesn’t mean your afraid, it just shows that your backed properly.
