- Hamas' Al-Qassam brigades released two new videos of intense battles inside the Gaza strip with Israeli Army. Seven Israeli soldiers died in a single day as they succumbed to injuries in separate battles in Gaza. This took the death toll of soldiers killed in Gaza offensive to 129. In one video released by Hamas, Al-Qassam militants can be heard shouting 'Allah-u-Akbar' as their Kornet anti-armour missile struck IDF's Hummer jeep which was carrying Israeli soldiers. In another video, Hamas militants can be seen unleashing RPG fire on Israeli armoured vehicles. Watch for more details.

to expend a kornet missile on a jeep instead of on the armored vehicles tells me that hms are going for high value personnel...this implies they have far more sophisticated intel than the idf would admit
kornet would make mincemeat of even a merkava mk4...but they went for the jeep...they used an expensive piece of ordinance to go for a long range shot for a reason
Well they also have no APS. APS systems are highly efficient at detecting incoming Kornet missiles fired from a distance, especially with an open surrounding. They aren't very good at detecting rockets fired at it within 50m (I think that's the limit), or with odd angles and timed shots as armor passes openings (alleyways etc). The APS doesn't have time to calculate and deploy a countermeasure in those scenarios.
Not saying you aren't right, just another reason they may be targeting softer targets.
