That SF2 intro with the guy getting punched is my fondest memory as a kid. I never played it, but I’d stare at it with that iconic music playing whenever Id go to the laundry mat with the my mom.
Just got mine today! Originally I thought it was ugly but I was very interested in the game line up. After watching reviews on TH-cam like yours I took the plunge and now it's one of my favorites. Thanks Jason

Great review on the Big Blue Sf cabinet! I love the height of the cab and with games list being solid and the ability to play them all online definitely makes it a must have to add to the arcade collection. If they can have a version of this cabinet without the stool or light up deck protector then it'll be a reasonable price for anyone to own this one.

As a SF2 fan, I can’t believe I don’t remember hyper fighting. I remember all the rest. Seems like SF2 went to Champion Edition, then SSF2 and finally SSF2 Turbo. I do apparently have a misremembering of Hyper Fighting being an unofficial SF2 hack that appeared in arcades, but I know that’s something different. It’s odd seeing that game, total Mandela feeling happening to me…
I recently bought this and built it yesterday. Definitely one of the best-looking cabinets I own. Was going to buy the Neo Geo MVSX for the holidays but they raised their prices by another 100 bucks for Black Friday. What a shame. I bought Big Blue because they had a Cyber Monday sale. It was $100 dollars off! I looked at this video to see if I installed it wrong because there is a small space between the riser and the kickplate, but I see it's simply because the cabinet is taller than the other cabinets. Good video!

good thing you didn't buy the Neo Geo MVSX . I got it and played it for a hour and my hand was numb from being smashed into the side & the 6 buttons are completely wrong i play Samurai Showdown and it's so hard to do the moves, i put it back in the box and sold it on ebay
@@EMMETTCULLENHALE how is your hand smashed? Do you have meaty hands or something? I have it and it's one of my favorites. It's a better build than Arcade1up machines IMO. It is a little shorter tho so that kinda sucks but overall it's a good machine.
Great video, as always Jason! I brought cab on day one from arcade1up 755.00 with tax to only see this cab go on sale for 399.99 nine months later! Big Blue has the best games list from all the SF2 cab legacy cabs! The only thing i hated was the control panel being too low to play with on! Also, during the summer, arcade1up has a red cross sale for this cab for 224.00, which i got another one lmao!

The nostalgia is very real! Street Fighter 2 was a dynamic feat for Capcom. It was the SF series that would heavily influence the modern fighting game genre we know today. This was the first really functional fighting game in my opinion too. I remember when it first hit arcades, you had to stand in line to play this game.
Those were some great times! Street Fighter ll was my favorite arcade game in the early 90s, I couldn’t get enough of it. And still remains awesome 30 years later. Thanks for checking out the video Gamers Bay!

Hey Jason, I'm thinking of purchasing Big Blue soon. One negative review I've heard from several people is that the sound on this one, even at max volume, is still pretty low compared to other Arcade 1UP cabs. Have you had that experience with this cab? Thanks.
Yeah the sound on this one is below average, I wish it got louder. But it’s really not a deal breaker at all. Overall the cabinet is fantastic. Might be my favorite so far from A1UP.

@@3rdFloorArcade I did some research on Reddit and they’re saying that since the original game was created in SD and this is an HD monitor, the graphics will often look blocky and pixelated, maybe that’s what I’m seeing 🤷🏻♂️

Cool review! I was seriously thinking about getting this cab, but i opted for the Capcom Legacy instead (just because i like the game line-up better)....this one definitely looks nicer than the Legacy, though (that huge marquee and light-up deck look really sharp).

The Cabinet looks sick man. I'm personally not a big street fighter 2 fan which is kinda weird since I like Street Fighter itself (big fan of the marvel vs streetfighter series and alpha games) but even I think this is one of the coolest designs that arcade 1up has done.

@@3rdFloorArcade nah I just Modded my Ms Pac-Man and Gen 1 Galaga Sanwa buttons and Joystick plus really cool kick plate stickers , My Gen 1 Galaga also has the real custom riser from Arcade1Up which is a bit rare , I love that cabinet lol to much work put into it
Both are great but I think I’d choose the Big Blue over the Capcom Legacy. I think the bigger size and the online play give it the edge. I love the game lineups on both. 👍

Yeah that’s a tough decision to make. I recently bought the Capcom Legacy, I kind of wish they spaced out the timing of the release of those 2 cabs a bit more.
Cab looks great. Thank you for the review. The biggest draw of this cab is the online ability and the games. Unfortunately the price is too high for me. Also, I feel since I have the Capcom Legacy Edition already, I don’t want two Street Fighter cabs in my arcade. If they made a Darkstalkers skin with the same games, I’d think about it.

Very cool man. They should have called it "TALL BLUE" Considering it is skinny and tall like me. lol Yeah recently I have been working on my Space Invaders modded 4 player arcade. I got it setup so the turtles in the TMNT arcade are exactly in the same spots as the original machine. Took a little work, but I figured it out. lol And here sometime soon, I am going to get back to my wife's Frogger and try to get it dialed up and finished. Been uber busy lately and working on people's video game consoles here and there as well.

My guess is that you'll sell some of your older cabs to make room for some of these cool new cabs on the way (Simpsons, X-men, Class of '81, Tron, T2, etc.)...

I don’t get why everyone wants molded coin doors? I was fine with the game list, only because I could get my own graphic and put whatever I wanted there making it my own unique machine.
Yeah I guess it’s personal preference. I really like the molded coins that were used on the Neo Geo MVSX. I’m thinking for those that aren’t a fan of the coin doors they can flip that kick plate around and use the blank side to add their own graphic. 👍
@@3rdFloorArcade the ones on my MVSX are nice, but I feel my MVSX has a much higher quality, and maybe I just really doubt the quality of 1up is at same level. 1up has the licenses for sure that get buys. I spend usually 100 to 200 more fixing up a 1up to my satisfaction. I also don’t buy a fraction of the arcades you do lol. I think Unico and iiRcade have a much higher quality.
super street fighter combo feature is wack IMHO. for button mashers. Champion edition is the best. actually takes skills to win. button mashing will get destroyed by anyone with skill.

The aesthetics amd online play make it very attractive.

Looks like with the online features it has I wouldn't be surprised if they added a A1up virtual store in the near future

Hey Jason, I'm thinking of purchasing Big Blue soon. One negative review I've heard from several people is that the sound on this one, even at max volume, is still pretty low compared to other Arcade 1UP cabs. Have you had that experience with this cab? Thanks.
Yeah the sound on this one is below average, I wish it got louder. But it’s really not a deal breaker at all. Overall the cabinet is fantastic. Might be my favorite so far from A1UP.

One question…I seem to remember the street fighter games looking much better, graphic wise. The graphics look very pixelated to me. Are these the actual arcade games, or are they just emulations? Did you notice the graphics not looking as impressive, or am I imagining things? Thanks

@@3rdFloorArcade I did some research on Reddit and they’re saying that since the original game was created in SD and this is an HD monitor, the graphics will often look blocky and pixelated, maybe that’s what I’m seeing 🤷🏻♂️

Cool review! I was seriously thinking about getting this cab, but i opted for the Capcom Legacy instead (just because i like the game line-up better)....this one definitely looks nicer than the Legacy, though (that huge marquee and light-up deck look really sharp).

The Cabinet looks sick man. I'm personally not a big street fighter 2 fan which is kinda weird since I like Street Fighter itself (big fan of the marvel vs streetfighter series and alpha games) but even I think this is one of the coolest designs that arcade 1up has done.

Both are great but I think I’d choose the Big Blue over the Capcom Legacy. I think the bigger size and the online play give it the edge. I love the game lineups on both. 👍

Right about the same height as the other A1UPs on a riser. Roughly 32 inches.
Cab looks great. Thank you for the review. The biggest draw of this cab is the online ability and the games. Unfortunately the price is too high for me. Also, I feel since I have the Capcom Legacy Edition already, I don’t want two Street Fighter cabs in my arcade. If they made a Darkstalkers skin with the same games, I’d think about it.

I think it’s pretty good for taller people. Visibility with the monitor is perfect on this cab 👍

Very cool man. They should have called it "TALL BLUE" Considering it is skinny and tall like me. lol Yeah recently I have been working on my Space Invaders modded 4 player arcade. I got it setup so the turtles in the TMNT arcade are exactly in the same spots as the original machine. Took a little work, but I figured it out. lol And here sometime soon, I am going to get back to my wife's Frogger and try to get it dialed up and finished. Been uber busy lately and working on people's video game consoles here and there as well.

I don’t get why everyone wants molded coin doors? I was fine with the game list, only because I could get my own graphic and put whatever I wanted there making it my own unique machine.
Yeah I guess it’s personal preference. I really like the molded coins that were used on the Neo Geo MVSX. I’m thinking for those that aren’t a fan of the coin doors they can flip that kick plate around and use the blank side to add their own graphic. 👍
@@3rdFloorArcade the ones on my MVSX are nice, but I feel my MVSX has a much higher quality, and maybe I just really doubt the quality of 1up is at same level. 1up has the licenses for sure that get buys. I spend usually 100 to 200 more fixing up a 1up to my satisfaction. I also don’t buy a fraction of the arcades you do lol. I think Unico and iiRcade have a much higher quality.
Puzzle fighter and all 3 Darkstalkers is the biggest draw to me. I have the Mvc cabinet and barely have space for that one
