I started using Printify. They have a good amount of options. They have stuff like apparel, posters, stickers, magnets, drinkware, and some others. I haven't made any sales yet but they're pretty good in my experience.
Thank you so much for talking about this, it's so difficult to find information online about how and where to get good quality products made. A lot of the artists I admire produce things themselves but that's simply not possible for everyone.
So, here's a perspective. I work at a large manufacturing company. We get the blank products shipped to us and then we embroider, screen print, patch, etc. On the items per the customer's orders. We get POD and one-offs and everything in between. While admirable to look for a company that has the standards you mentioned, there are big companies out there that will also work with you and make sure the product meets quality standards. Yes, they might not be eco friendly, but I think that will come with time.
I agree it's not always possible to check every box, and sometimes compromises do have to be made to realize a specific vision. Hopefully more manufacturers will transition to more sustainable practices soon! Out of curiosity, what large manufacturer do you work for?
@KelseyRodriguez it's called Hit Promotional Products. It's mostly B2B sales but there's a lot of small and big businesses that order from us. If you've had something embroidered over the last couple years, I've probably touched that order. I'm a proofreader so I'm the last stop before it goes to production.
Just found you within the last six months and look forward to your videos! You somehow have the best timing for me and what I’m thinking about in the moment in regards to starting an art biz! Thanks so much for what you do!
This video is wonderfully informational & filled with lots of great tips & interesting information for making art products! That’s fantastic that you have made this video in one take, as a new TH-cam channel myself that is what I try to do with my videos too! 😊 Thanks so much for sharing this with us 💕!
thank you so much for this! I just watched your 40+ product ideas video, and i asked how to create the products.....and then u got this video just in time haha! :) i wish fiberart existed in norway, the taxes are insane in norway :/ but definitely worth looking up! i love all your videos btw
thank you SO much for this, I'm nearly 18, graduating in 2 days, and I'm really trying to get my crap together yk? I couldn't find nearly any good videos for stuff like this, and you explain everything really well, thank you
🌺Thank you Kelsey 🙂😌 it has taken me years to feel ready to make prints & sell my work. Having your collection of videos to learn from and feel like we're in this together is really nice 😊✨
This is super cool! My biggest concern is photographing or saving digital work at the correct size or PDI for something like this or other printing of art work.
You are truely inspiring...I love you and your art❤❤❤....I feel happy when you achieve your goals...you deserve more and more because you are such an amazing artist🎨🖌🩷🧡💛💚💙🩵💜🤎
thank you for this insight, the list of manufacturers would be a great idea. I would be interested if anyone here could mention manufacturers in Europe, because I'm from Austria and so fiberart (which seems to be a very good company) is just too far away...
Ok this is probably a dumb question, but when you get a separate card for your business, how do you separate personal expenses? Like if your business is your only source of income and you have everything set to add balance to the business card, what do you do for things like paying for groceries?
If you don't mind me asking, what platform do you use for your website? Is it your own website or something like Etsy? I've heard good things about Big Cartel in terms of starting your own website but idk 🤷♀️
I use Squarespace and I have for years! I love it personally. They’re a sponsor of the channel so if you want a discount you can use code kelseyrodriguez at checkout!
Sorry for the missing clip at 45 seconds! But if you have any recommendations for manufacturers, let me know ❤

🤩
Hey, is you redesigning your website have anything to do with Koji getting taken down?
Nice blankets!
I hadn’t been using Koji for a while at that point, so it wasn’t super related! And thank you 🧡
Can you do a video about how to hire people ethically and grow from a solo operation?
I’ve only ever hired one person, but maybe that’s a good topic for interview! Good idea, hmm 🤔
Hi! So useful info. Do you know if Fiber Arte company ship products to Mexico, I went to its page but I couldn't found that info.
They ship to just about every country!
Hey Kelsey! Do you have any recommendations for sticker manufacturers?
If I could hug you through the screen this is info I’ve been searching for… I’m launching my first video soon and I’m starting to do art markets

@@KelseyRodriguez thank you a lot, will try them!
What is the candle POD or white label company you mentioned in this video called ?
Ok this is probably a dumb question, but when you get a separate card for your business, how do you separate personal expenses? Like if your business is your only source of income and you have everything set to add balance to the business card, what do you do for things like paying for groceries?
you essentially put yourself on payroll and give yourself a paycheck!
@@KelseyRodriguezOh I see! Thank you so much for answering!
