Thank you very much for visiting our motherland🇱🇰 and showing her beauty to the world.....
Lesser known fact about Sri Lanka
Highest waterfall density in the world.
Oldest human planted tree in the world.
    Cinnamon native to sri lanka.
Ceylon tea considered as best tea in the world by many.
Serendipity word originated to describe sri lanka (serendib was an old name of sri lanka).
According to some folklore, the Biblical Garden of Eden was set in the tropical paradise of Sri Lanka.
Also the 1st country to have a female prime Minister.
“ Two to three weeks is about the right length for a vacation in Sri Lanka. If you stay for any longer, you might never want to go back. ” - Arthur C Clarke

spicy food is normal in sri lanka, it can be consider as a land of spices, even the CINNAMON originated from sri lanka, spices and lankans are bounded together, but usually you can order less spicy food, many lankans ask from white people before make food, spicey or less spicey,

That was an honest and accurate review. Organized chaos on the roads. Yup. You nailed it.

Surprised that you actually didn’t see any wild elephants on the roads still. Especially if you travelled to Habarana area near Seegiriya or along the road to Yala from Ella. Actually they are everywhere in rural Sri Lanka.

We haven’t met any yet. And I don’t think it will be a positive experience to find wild elephants as we heard they might be aggressive

Also beware of people who follow you and approach you to help you to find what you are looking for, when you go shopping. Specially when you want to buy jewelry or souvenirs, do it on your own because if you go with a guide you’ll have to buy the items at a very high price as these guides act as brokers and the vendors have to pay them commissions when they bring in customers. Their commissions will be added to your price and you’ll be quoted a higher price. It could also sometimes happen when you visit a tourist attraction site where there is no admission fee. These so called “guides” may beg you to visit places known or unknown to you and their partners of crime will be at the entrance of the site ready to sell you bogus tickets and charge you an illegal entrance fee. These unauthorized ticket sellers share it with those who pretend to be guides. You may also be charged at a parking area where they may charge a parking fee if you drive a rental car or a rented tuktuk or a motor bike. Such incidents can happen at remote waterfalls, or at some other scenic areas, or at temples, kovils, churches mosques or at historical sites.
However there are honest licensed tour guides too. You may have to hire one if you are adventurous and want to take risks walking through jungle trails to see some hidden places (like nil diya pokuna-a pond in a cave, or at hidden waterfalls in Sinharaja rain forest etc.) If you like to listen to history from a guide ( instead of Googling) when you visit ancient ruined cities (like Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa etc ) you may also need a guide.
Thank you for your positive remarks and also warnings mainly about traffic violations and a nation of nice people causing many accidents disregarding rules of the road that are not forcibly implemented. The best advice you gave was to bring mosquito and insect repellent when you visit Sri Lanka. Perhaps they may repel wasps and bumble bees at Sigiriya and at the 9 arch bridge areas? Your video will help future tourists planning to visit Sri Lanka.

Wow, thank you for all that valuable information, I am pretty sure it will help future tourist. That one that you said about the jewelry stores already happened to us, but we noticed the high price and we left just on time. Once again Ty for taking the time of commenting ☺️

We use less chemicals inside the houses and outside.
    So...
We still have a very high biodiversity in the world .
If you don't like the insects pl. don't come.
It is not a big issue for us as Sri Lanka is our valuable motherland.
King Alexander the great of Greece had visited our country and had climbed Sri Pada (Adam's peak) to see the Eden Gardens. 👍🏻
