The government needs to take the pressure off car manufacturers in the rush to 2030, people are not buying EV's mainly due to cost and mileage anxiety. I truly believe this is the wrong step for Bentley
Electric cars have little appeal to car enthusiasts. They have no collectability as they are throw away appliances. Just as electric digital watches have no collectability. The market for hand built electric cars will be tiny as they don't achieve what car enthusiasts want. They want finely built complex machines that can be kept running for generations. Not a big battery and some motors. These car companies are destroying their hard earned reputations on a trend. Electric cars are not cars. The EV market is already tanking. EVs do not benefit the environment and the technology and infrastructure is no where near as good as internal combustion engine cars. Reverse course now or you are doomed RR.
The engine is the soul of any automobile, so the EV battery vehicles lack mechanical 'soul' and I cannot see paying premium money for a big battery vehicle.
Thanks for the comment. Bentley has always been associated with the British royal family... It's a good thing they chose a national car company like this

I was always led to believe that rich people had a better than average level of intelligence. So I fail to understand why they would buy an electric Bentley!
Those Bents looked comfortable. I recently saw an Austin Martin SUV all smashed up at the rear of some units. It was there about 2 months. Its gone now, But the rim where smashed clean of the spokes of the wheel. I cannot believe someone could do that with Brake disks bigger than many car wheels. Apparently it was a Boxers car who someone else smashed up. The glass roof was vandelized and crunched in perhaps with someone walking on it. Why would you let others take such a car out.
This name means smooth quiet and luxurious travel, and is just right for electric propulsion. Just as Rolls Royce has been working towards it for over 1 hundred years, Bentley is now the perfect candidate for this. Unless you are a ice engineer working in this industry. The world cannot stand still my friend, we must not stand with our heads in the sand, we must strive for perfection every day. Let’s think of our children and grandchildren as we keep polluting our planet 😢
Love to see these beauties being built, but who on earth wrote the narration? It's goofy. And there's random spurts of Chinese heard on the soundtrack. Weird.
14000 BENTLEY per year means they produce 1116 BENTLEY per month not bad for a luxury car. For a record there are 29,350 cent-millionaires ( net worth more than 100 million) worldwide , So ya they can buy new cars every year and sell used cars to 2 digit millionaires
I bought my first Bentley when i was 23..i have since added eight more Bentley's, three Rolls Royce's six 911..a G Wagon...my next is a BUGATTI...I am enjoying life and hope you enjoy yours as well.
Doesn’t benefit real people or the country what happened to our car and commercial business sold down the river like everything else everybody works in Tesco etc cheaper to buy stuff from china and still make a profit which is what it’s all about
Body seems to be some grade of aluminum - would imagine a super luxury car body would be made out in SS316 at the least despite the density difference. So much for super luxury - once a pirate, always a toothless lying pirate
An audi kit from Germany assembled in the UK. The wood work is cheap sh*t compared to the glory days, the leather interiors, well if I had turned out sh*t like that in the day I would have got a beating and that is not hyperbole. I did a once over on the suv 4x4 thing... It was an absolute bag of sh*t with seams not straight, carpets badly sawn and seat squabs baggy with bulges where the foam had moved. I was called a craftsmen back in the 90's, today these cars are put together by assembly workers not a skilled ticket among them and it shows. It's just another audi.
Impressive product for sure however its just a way for the ultra rich to basically show off their money. The workers are just production workers doing mass production, sure the surroundings etc might be better than most but they are really just doing their subservient best for the lord of the manner. Honestly these cars are being driven around, exposed to the elements etc and the owners get somebody else to clean and look after them. Some owners have no idea and frankly don't care about the money they just want the prestige and will flip it as soon as the next more expensive model comes out while they treat their staff and citizens often with total distain. No I dont want one
Would you like to own a Bentley or do you prefer other luxury supercars? Which ones?🚘
Four wheels is old thinking because there are new ways of making trikes with computing suspensions.
I love a more hand crafted Mini cooper like car assembly line for safety on the road, building enjoyment, and repairing satisfaction.
Convertible Bentley - not in my price range but if I ever hit the lottery, I'll get one. Any convertible sports car would be worth looking at.
Yes I would like a Bentley but not if is electric.

No, Bentley is still making cars, and in recent years the carmaker has managed to increase production. Thanks very much for your comment.
When Bentley go all electric, their sales with drop like a stone!!
It has not happened with Rolls Royce where the electric models are in huge deman, customers like me prefer the huge extra torque and silence.

What a lovely car, and a big shame the company was sold off. One hell of a British car.
