Ah the summer of 1997..As an 18 year old I take pride that those late years in the 90s was the last generation to be going out before mobile phones really took hold of society ..great days and this was one of the tracks constantly being played in the clubs that summer ..any teenagers reading this enjoy your youth because in the blink Of an eye it’s gone ..they really were great care free days!🇬🇧 ✌️
In August 1997, I played the city square of a capitol, not music so much as mixed sounds from the history of technology, among which was 512 tracks of marching feet making the gradually imposing rhythm of what could've been a DJ set. Doesn't matter how many people were there, and not whether money was made, what matters is that there were no fences, and the cultural department let me go ahead after I played a bit of what I planned to do for the cultural mayor. The world was more open, then.

This will always remind me of Mum who is thankfully still with me and I'm caring for due to vascular dementia and blindness. She liked it and I remember coming home and hearing her singing in the kitchen. Even though I know there will be a time when my best friend leaves me, I won't be alone given the great presence she is in my life and has always been. It's a journey I will never forget or regret being a part of. Amongst all the many things she taught me, one of these was that you never truly understand the value of cherished moments until they become memories.
In a way, it's all a matter of time I will not worry for you, you'll be just fine Take my thoughts with you and when you look behind You will surely see a face that you recognise You're not alone I'll wait 'til the end of time Open your mind Surely it's plain to see You're not alone I'll wait 'til the end of time for you Open your mind Surely there's time to be with me It is the distance that makes life a little hard Two minds that once were close, now so many miles apart I will not falter though, I'll hold on 'til you're home Safely back where you belong and see how our love has grown You're not alone I'll wait 'til the end of time Open your mind Surely it's plain to see You're not alone I'll wait 'til the end of time for you Open your mind Surely there's time to be with me You're not alone I'll wait 'til the end of time Open your mind Surely it's plain to see You're not alone I'll wait 'til the end of time for you Open your mind Surely there's time to be with me You're not alone (you're not alone) I'll wait 'til the end of time Open your mind (open your mind) Baby, there's time to be with me You're not alone (you're not alone) I'll wait 'til the end of time (never alone) Open your mind (open your mind) Surely there's time to be with me You're not alone (you're not alone) I'll wait 'til the end of time with you Open your mind (open your mind) Baby, there's time for me and you
Love this song. Most vivid memory of it was a house party New Years Eve seeing in 2000 and a bunch of us, very close friends hugging and telling each other how much we loved them (usual loved up mess 😀). Of those that were there 4 are now gone, suicide, accidents & illness, all in their early 30's. Brings back some very bitter sweet memories but still smile where I hear this song and remember that night. It was the last time all of us were together in one place and all were so full of life and joy.
I'm 31 so I wasn't old enough to really get into this sort of music at the time, but it reminds me of late night drives with my dad. Any sort of 90s trance and dance does. More of a rock and metal kinda guy these days but I have a big soft spot for this sorta stuff, and this is a classic! Great memories as well.
I love this song! It takes me back to those 90s raves on the weekend, staying up all night… Everyone’s doing E and feeling good and hoping the night won’t end. Those were the days!
I was year 10 in high school when I first heard this, and I have not forgot this tune. As a man the 90s was a decade of continuous new musical genres all hitting in every direction. I loved going to hmv, tower records and spending time listening to new old music. We had no youtube and ease of music availability, a cassette zo record of radio, if your lucky cds or the prime della creme VINYL..
I remember when this song came out for the first time I was blown away because it sounded so unique at the time. And that reversed / nonreversed synth was also interesting.
Wow love these tunes I'm ill and I'm actually using before medicine and meditation we are never alone I've lost everything and I've found God they come in many forms and especially music thanks 🙏🎶 God is a DJ
How perception changes as we grow. As a child, I thought an old lady sang this, now watching video again after years, I can see a beautiful young woman.
I've never seen the music video to this song until now. Grew up listening to this classic and probably have many albums with this song on there. Hard to believe this song is as old as I am.
There's something so dreamlike & far-away about this tune, & it's set against a building techno backing that alternates with that one-note synth line, topped with Olive's reassuring yet yearning voice , so it makes a Big, Big One for Your Heart and for Your Dance.
I will forever remember how I first heard this masterpiece all these years ago. I used to leave the radio on all night, couldn't fall asleep without it, and one summer morning I woke up to this. It was unusually early for me - my brain must have told me: "Wake up, mate! You don't want to miss this one!". It was one of the amazing moments of my life.
I've found listening to a lot of songs while I sleep allows me to appreciate them differently, even from my favorite artists. Recently I fell in love with Analogical and Jaded by deadmau5 in this manner.
I used to listen to radio all night long also…I was 14 recorded it from radio to tape and constantly repeat..In my teen years I had my radio on all the time, that was our iphone back then
I was 24 and got posted 7000 miles away. Didn't see my family and friends again for 4 years. Saw a lot. This track was on a tape I brought with me. It brought me comfort during any trauma. It's a warm place to play this track
1996. A more permissive and playful world. We were free, we were high, we were alive. We were together. Today's isolation and coercion madness is infinitely sad.
I used to sing this song to my daughter when she was a babe. Now she is leaving for Europe for the whole summer, this song really resonates with today for me.
hello emily drling how r u? im gud thnk4ask mysefl arjan Patel frm india want to say hello2u and invite u 4 franship with me r u luk 4 a cute indian guy like me? myself engineer student graduated university Delhi 2004
Maaaan.. This is one of those _really_ obscure gems. I had this on a cassette tape and never could figure out who sang it although I would occasionally search for it online back in the early 2000s on my webTV. It's nice to be able to finally jam this again.
first time I remember hearing this I was 5 years old, being driven to football training in the middle of a heat wave, car window down, smell of freshly cut grass, drinking my panda pop, one of my favourite childhood memories I have.
One of the most melancholy tracks ever.
There's something about these melancholic trancy "love songs".

To quote a friend of mine back in the day " thats a fkn great track so it is"
In a way, it's all a matter of time
I will not worry for you, you'll be just fine
Take my thoughts with you and when you look behind
You will surely see a face that you recognise
You're not alone
I'll wait 'til the end of time
Open your mind
Surely it's plain to see
You're not alone
I'll wait 'til the end of time for you
Open your mind
Surely there's time to be with me
It is the distance that makes life a little hard
Two minds that once were close, now so many miles apart
I will not falter though, I'll hold on 'til you're home
Safely back where you belong and see how our love has grown
You're not alone
I'll wait 'til the end of time
Open your mind
Surely it's plain to see
You're not alone
I'll wait 'til the end of time for you
Open your mind
Surely there's time to be with me
You're not alone
I'll wait 'til the end of time
Open your mind
Surely it's plain to see
You're not alone
I'll wait 'til the end of time for you
Open your mind
Surely there's time to be with me
You're not alone (you're not alone)
I'll wait 'til the end of time
Open your mind (open your mind)
Baby, there's time to be with me
You're not alone (you're not alone)
I'll wait 'til the end of time (never alone)
Open your mind (open your mind)
Surely there's time to be with me
You're not alone (you're not alone)
I'll wait 'til the end of time with you
Open your mind (open your mind)
Baby, there's time for me and you
This is a classic of the 90s and still resonates today and will do in the future ... a timeless classic ... Brilliant!
❤ YES ❤
Love this song. Most vivid memory of it was a house party New Years Eve seeing in 2000 and a bunch of us, very close friends hugging and telling each other how much we loved them (usual loved up mess 😀). Of those that were there 4 are now gone, suicide, accidents & illness, all in their early 30's. Brings back some very bitter sweet memories but still smile where I hear this song and remember that night. It was the last time all of us were together in one place and all were so full of life and joy.
My brain has never left 90's dimension, every time I hear timeless classics from the 90's I am transported back in time/home. 💞👌😊👍
Me too🎉😢😊😅😢😢😢
Indeed:)❤
I'm 31 so I wasn't old enough to really get into this sort of music at the time, but it reminds me of late night drives with my dad. Any sort of 90s trance and dance does. More of a rock and metal kinda guy these days but I have a big soft spot for this sorta stuff, and this is a classic! Great memories as well.
the best n trace track ever period
Beautiful song 🎵 2:11
Gen X music is absolutely the best!!!!❤

I was born in 1989 listening to these songs that were made in the 90s make me feal something I can't describe is priceless ❤️
The 90's wasn't a decade it was an emotion! 💞👌😊👍
❤
No estás solo.. 🖤
I love this song! It takes me back to those 90s raves on the weekend, staying up all night… Everyone’s doing E and feeling good and hoping the night won’t end. Those were the days!
What I’d give to have E again and just listen to music.
@@traceynightingale7635 yeah… It would be so nice. But add to listening to music to kissing and dancing… Those were the days.💛
@@christopherscorner I thought that was a given ❤️ xoxo

Eezer goode, EmmDeeEmmAaaaaaazin!
A was 18 years old when this masterpiece came out men. 90s best and last generation of all times
For those of you watching, remember one thing. You're not alone.
Wow love these tunes I'm ill and I'm actually using before medicine and meditation we are never alone I've lost everything and I've found God they come in many forms and especially music thanks 🙏🎶
God is a DJ
The video speaks volumes, leaving my body and finding my compatriots thru this psychical life
How perception changes as we grow. As a child, I thought an old lady sang this, now watching video again after years, I can see a beautiful young woman.
I get that, now that I'm older than most of the people in the 1990s music videos.
I've never seen the music video to this song until now. Grew up listening to this classic and probably have many albums with this song on there. Hard to believe this song is as old as I am.
This song reappeared as a souvenir in my brain...back directly to the past, amazing...
There's something so dreamlike & far-away about this tune, & it's set against a building techno backing that alternates with that one-note synth line, topped with Olive's reassuring yet yearning voice , so it makes a Big, Big One for Your Heart and for Your Dance.
❤️
Such a timeless track. Sonically-rich beauty.
One of my favourite tracks of all time.
What a sad life
I used to listen to radio all night long also…I was 14 recorded it from radio to tape and constantly repeat..In my teen years I had my radio on all the time, that was our iphone back then
I Had my First Line of Coke with a Girl in this Song.....stays forever
❤ Brilliant Trance music track♥️🔥
So sad that great tunes like this seem not to be available these days. At least TH-cam keeps them alive! Great!
The 90s was awesome !!, nothing will ever compare to this era , Tune is banging also ,
Love fizzi X
This will forever be a hit absolutely love it ❣️
Indeed, I concur sir.. I was there...
25 years old and still sounds as incredible as the first time I heard it all those years ago.
PRODIGY Champing at the Bit, but OH MY LORDY WE HAD IT SO GOOD!!! 🤙
I was 24 and got posted 7000 miles away. Didn't see my family and friends again for 4 years. Saw a lot. This track was on a tape I brought with me. It brought me comfort during any trauma. It's a warm place to play this track
Being a diplomat suxx ass
1996. A more permissive and playful world. We were free, we were high, we were alive. We were together.
Today's isolation and coercion madness is infinitely sad.
Amen to that, brother.
Fun fact, we ware never free for the last 10 - 15 thousands of years. Your only freedom is inside your head, never else.
Only god knows how much I love this song
Masterpiece
Remind my youth
One of the best songs ever from the good 90's decade
I used to sing this song to my daughter when she was a babe. Now she is leaving for Europe for the whole summer, this song really resonates with today for me.

Where in Europe is she?
Maaaan.. This is one of those _really_ obscure gems. I had this on a cassette tape and never could figure out who sang it although I would occasionally search for it online back in the early 2000s on my webTV. It's nice to be able to finally jam this again.
This track is still thousands of years ahead of it's time.
first time I remember hearing this I was 5 years old, being driven to football training in the middle of a heat wave, car window down, smell of freshly cut grass, drinking my panda pop, one of my favourite childhood memories I have.
Something very special about this❤ certainly pulls the ❤ strings x
