In August 1997, I played the city square of a capitol, not music so much as mixed sounds from the history of technology, among which was 512 tracks of marching feet making the gradually imposing rhythm of what could've been a DJ set. Doesn't matter how many people were there, and not whether money was made, what matters is that there were no fences, and the cultural department let me go ahead after I played a bit of what I planned to do for the cultural mayor. Driving across the city in mid-winter -8’c showing on the incar display & not seeing another car or soul about for most of the journey, then this came on the radio. It was perfect for that moment & it’s stuck with me now for near 30 years. Whenever I hear “your not alone” I’m back driving across a dark deserted East side of Berlin.

Not gonna lie out of all 90s hits , this aged the best. People who either younger or lived under the rock would never guessed it came out almost 25 years ago. I love this track... absolute masterpiece
Love this song. Most vivid memory of it was a house party New Years Eve seeing in 2000 and a bunch of us, very close friends hugging and telling each other how much we loved them (usual loved up mess 😀). Of those that were there 4 are now gone, suicide, accidents & illness, all in their early 30's. Brings back some very bitter sweet memories but still smile where I hear this song and remember that night. It was the last time all of us were together in one place and all were so full of life and joy.
first time I remember hearing this I was 5 years old, being driven to football training in the middle of a heat wave, car window down, smell of freshly cut grass, drinking my panda pop, one of my favourite childhood memories I have.
I will forever remember how I first heard this masterpiece all these years ago. I used to leave the radio on all night, couldn't fall asleep without it, and one summer morning I woke up to this. It was unusually early for me - my brain must have told me: "Wake up, mate! You don't want to miss this one!". It was one of the amazing moments of my life.
I've found listening to a lot of songs while I sleep allows me to appreciate them differently, even from my favorite artists. Recently I fell in love with Analogical and Jaded by deadmau5 in this manner.

There's something so dreamlike & far-away about this tune, & it's set against a building techno backing that alternates with that one-note synth line, topped with Olive's reassuring yet yearning voice , so it makes a Big, Big One for Your Heart and for Your Dance.
I'm 31 so I wasn't old enough to really get into this sort of music at the time, but it reminds me of late night drives with my dad. Any sort of 90s trance and dance does. More of a rock and metal kinda guy these days but I have a big soft spot for this sorta stuff, and this is a classic! Great memories as well.
I remember when this song came out for the first time I was blown away because it sounded so unique at the time. And that reversed / nonreversed synth was also interesting.
This will always remind me of Mum who is thankfully still with me and I'm caring for due to vascular dementia and blindness. She liked it and I remember coming home and hearing her singing in the kitchen. Even though I know there will be a time when my best friend leaves me, I won't be alone given the great presence she is in my life and has always been. It's a journey I will never forget or regret being a part of. Amongst all the many things she taught me, one of these was that you never truly understand the value of cherished moments until they become memories.
I love this song! It takes me back to those 90s raves on the weekend, staying up all night… Everyone’s doing E and feeling good and hoping the night won’t end. Those were the days!
I remember watching this as a teen about 6 years after it came out. My stomach literally twisted in knots. I was remembering the best times of my life that were long gone...
This was OUR sounds in the late 90s till early 00s. UKGarage was a sweet positive sound.. I loved the clubs and same vibe people the pirate radio stations on Fridays and Saturdays keept you up to date too! Wicked time....now...NONE of that!..

More of a rock and metal kinda guy these days but I have a big soft spot for this sorta stuff, and this is a classic! Great memories as well.
So sad that great tunes like this seem not to be available these days. At least TH-cam keeps them alive! Great!
I remember when this song came out for the first time I was blown away because it sounded so unique at the time. And that reversed / nonreversed synth was also interesting.
This will forever be a hit absolutely love it ❣️
Indeed, I concur sir.. I was there...
An absolute gem of a song 💎
This will always remind me of Mum who is thankfully still with me and I'm caring for due to vascular dementia and blindness. She liked it and I remember coming home and hearing her singing in the kitchen. Even though I know there will be a time when my best friend leaves me, I won't be alone given the great presence she is in my life and has always been. It's a journey I will never forget or regret being a part of. Amongst all the many things she taught me, one of these was that you never truly understand the value of cherished moments until they become memories.
The synth chords, sounds, mood of the song, the song in General are/is so mystifying, incredible track.
Yes,I think it's unique.
So so true . Yes ! Unique
"You're not alone, I wait till the end of time for you" - that's what I call real love
THE... CLASSIC! PERIOD!
I remember listening to this back in Kiev 1997 on a rainy day as a kid alone
In Brazil the same 😢
I was in my birthplace.. miami, FL, was a kid too listening to the radio.. I love to imagine where people were when listening to this 🦋
In France and I was 14 .It was at night that they play those type of music on TV so we recorded it on VHS :)

GOOSEBUMPS! Masterpiece of Music! Classic!
Never realised how killer this chorus was.
I love this song! It takes me back to those 90s raves on the weekend, staying up all night… Everyone’s doing E and feeling good and hoping the night won’t end. Those were the days!
What I’d give to have E again and just listen to music.
@@traceynightingale7635 yeah… It would be so nice. But add to listening to music to kissing and dancing… Those were the days.💛
@@christopherscorner I thought that was a given ❤️ xoxo

This song reappeared as a souvenir in my brain...back directly to the past, amazing...
I just found this CD (along w/ many others from the 90s) in a box in my garage. I’m SO happy! I was 21 when it came out & first heard it at a rave. Memories….
I remember first hearing this in Oklahoma somewhere on the 40 in 1996.
I had the worst day of my life a few days ago. I needed this song. Liked and subscribed.
i recently lost my childhood girl friend and this track makes me feel sad and nostalgic cause the lyrics are so real and touch my heart
RIP my dear Clarisse Duchemann never forget you
Sorry for you loss. Your friend is there with you. Inside you. In your heart.

such a classic. takes me back.
I was in a 90s Honda Accord, driving to a rave in San Diego (late 90s early 00s). I was moved then and I’m moved now.
Wow! I listened to this at 7-8 years old back in Miami on the radio, now I live in North San Diego and it’s pretty cool reading this
I was born in the nineties and now own a 2008 honda civic, downloading this to play in the car.
It does represent simpler times, but in an exciting way.
@@SaturnCrashing I first lived in the college district on 55th. Then moved to La Mesa. I’ll never forget these years.
This song breathes the nineties.
Back when life was simple ❤
I so miss the 80s music, and the 90s era when I was a teenager.
This song brings back so many memories,
IT brings back beautiful memories! When music was beautiful and life was much easier!
