- Join me as I embark on an exciting motorhome adventure from just outside Glasgow to the stunning Balmoral Castle. In this video, I share my spontaneous detour for some delicious doner meat from a local kebab shop, and take you through the serene, quiet roads of Scotland as I head towards Carlisle, only to push further towards Glasgow.
I show you my park-up spot near a lorry, discuss my morning plans for a Costco visit, and share a bit of my daily routine. Watch as I stock up on essentials at Costco, filling up on bargain-priced diesel and indulging in my favorite Hellman's mayo.
Next, I travel up the A9 towards the Cairngorms, marveling at the breathtaking Scottish landscapes and making spontaneous stops to soak in the beauty. Experience the tranquil and picturesque park-up locations I find, and get a glimpse of the serene morning views that greet me.
My journey continues with a visit to the majestic Balmoral Castle. I take you on a quick tour, showcasing the grand architecture, well-maintained gardens, and scenic surroundings. I'll also share some interesting tidbits about the castle, its history, and the Royal Family's connection to this beautiful estate.

Driving around Scotland offers the best scenery, and wow, what a park up! The grounds of Balmoral are amazing. No wonder Queen Victoria fell in love with the estate.

Lovely video, the castle looks like it's from a fairy tale - why do guys love mountains so much though? 😆 My partner has the same reaction to them (don't get me wrong I love beautiful scenery) but I think it sparks his ideas of adventures or quests or something 😂

We love Scotland, we spent time in the Cairngorms, as you say, it's just stunning. When we were last there the Queen was in residence so we couldn't do the tour, so was great to see your tour and makes us want to get back there again. Hey Daz, great vlog as per usual. We carry a small roll of sellotape to stick parking ticket to windscreen. The when you draw the Remis blinds the nasty man can still see it. Keep up the good work. Pete and Anne
Used to have to do that road every other day when i delivered all round scotland, stunning road and the views are amazing.
Day, I collected over 50 fridge magnet on my motorhome travels. I had like a pelmet above the cab and stuck them on with double sided sticky pads that don’t leave any marks. You could do that on a wardrobe door or on the lockers in the kitchen. 👍😁

I love Scotland so much, one of the most beautiful places on earth. You are so lucky. I would love to do what you do. But seeing I can't drive on the motorway and I don't have the money, I won't be able to.😂😂 Even the rain on the roof of th caravan, just heaven. I think when you are somewhere so beautiful you are connected to everything. When you are connected to everything you cannot be lonely. Have a great time Daz, you deserve it.

Park up in Glasgow was blochairn industrial estate, not the best part to overnight as next to notorious Royston rd, but looks like you got away with it

You should come to Aberdeen, you would be able to park up at the beach, there are always motorhomes there, good places to eat, toilets and a great view.

Love the blog, thanks and the use of WTW’s, that’s a real help too. Love Scotland, toured in my motorhome and loved the scenery and mountains, but while the Scottish Tourist Board is forever asking me to come back, the people aren’t anywhere near as keen on us motorhomers. Thing the few inconsiderate people, have tarred us all with the same brush. Won’t keep me away mind, but I’ll stay away from certain places, which is counter productive, as I then won’t be spending my money in them. One question, why are you always so cheerful 😁 I love it, keep em coming buddy 👍🏻

Unfortunately Keto isn’t something you can just dip in and out of. You only go into Ketosis when your carb intake is around 50grm a day.
Ketosis is the sate you go into when your body starts looking for a different form of fuel to burn instead of carbohydrates. It takes about 2 weeks to go into this state and you could suffer Keto flu.
I would suggest a low carb diet instead as I’ve tried it a couple of times and if you’re not on it for life, once you come off Keto you tend to put the weight back on and more
