Good for you buddy for kicking off this series! Judging by these vids you must be single or divorced, my wife would never allow this. Keep posting man!!
Solid work ! You forgot to mark the bolts with paintmarker to see if anything has moved later on. Will follow to hear your thoughts on the diff 😃 might do the same swap
Great videos! Wish I'd had these to watch before I did all of this on the different BMW track cars I've had. Would have save a lot of time! If you've had some track time with this setup yet, how are you liking the 4.44 gear? I also run 295/30/18 square on my E92 M3 race car. I run 3 sets of 10.5 in, ET25 Bimmerworld TA5R wheels, SPL adjustable arms all around, MCS remote reservoir coilovers, and bunch of negative camber. All of which makes things fit very neat, low and also tight! I can't get more than a finger between the top of the tire and the fender edge. So you really need to pay attention to your particular setup, ride height, etc. to make sure everything clears with no rubbing/binding. But it'll work, makes rotating tires through the weekend easy, and very good neutral handling. Good luck,
I run 295/30 square on 18x10.5, just need a 5 inch spring up front to avoid hitting the wheel's inner barrel on the coilover or just run more negative camber plus a spacer.
I hope you have great luck with the SPL stuff! I have heard of some of the Ti hardware failing and causing crashes on the forums. It sounds like you can get stainless replacements, but it may be worth looking into before you get an alignment. That stuff seems really nice but we put a lot of faith in it at high speeds!
I run the 4.44 as well in my car. I have upped the redline to 8600 because with the 295/30/18 it was annoying to run out of gears at the wrong time. I will be running 275/35/18 this season just to see if it will help with that and on top of it 275 on a 10.5 wheel will probably work better than a 295 on a 10.5 since all 200 tires are wide.
how does it affect top speed on highway and daily driving? I'm a bit curios about this since I blew my diff and want to upgrade it but wouldn't want to lose top speed
@@stancuflorin At 120 km/h in sixth I am turning around 3600 rpms or so, and it's not so bad. Regarding top speed 5th gear tops out at 222 km/h that's the fastest I have gone on the track.
I noticed your subframe bushings and diff bushings does not lift the subframe to correct for roll center. You can consider the Team Schirmer ones which is a shorter subframe bushing (it aligns flat with the subframe and doesn't stick out) with their diff bushings that have an eccentric bolt hole.
As soon as I saw that subframe on the garage floor, my first thought was that I hope to hell you replaced the intermediate interior brake lines while you could. Having just installed them without the subframe out, I can say it’s not impossible to do, but it’s close.
Hey man, awesome video. I will do mine soon, I am wondering did you change all bolts since pretty much all of them are one time use bolts. (Specially diff bolts). Obviously your new arms came with new bolts. Greetings from Finland
That’s a great point. BMW says to replace them. I only replaced the locknut on the guibo end. All the other bolts looked good so I reused them. I’ll let you guys know if there’s any problem. 🤞
295/35 sq. will be impractical. 295/30 sq. is easy with enough negative camber and the correct spring rates. With 4.44 ratio and 295/30 you’ll be extremely top-speed limited. I hope your local tracks don’t have very long straights.

😂 I’m lucky the missis is supportive.
You need to get a divorce.

This is the way to do it. I tried to save a few bucks by just getting the carrier… should have bought the whole pumpkin.

I'm curious did you reused the same subframe bolts? I kinda did but no issues however many told me I should've used the new ones..

This video found me at the perfect time, really want to know your opinon about this because I just blew my diff 2 weeks ago
love it!
