I guess the reason it comes on a little bit with that glow is because Polaris has their switch on the negative side, not the positive side so these LED lights will consume a little energy because the positive side is always hot. I found that out from another video, the guy installed a relay to fix the issue if it bothers anyone, thanks for your videos, much appreciated

boblarson22 I can’t find the spare wire connector as he has that can just be plugged in anywhere in the back of my 900. I haven’t done anything with it yet though, but it’ll more than likely have to be wired completely. Unless you’ve found the open connection like he has and I can’t find it on mine?

Got my backup light on today love it I found that the best way to access the plug in is to lift the bed of Ranger much easier thanks again !!!!

When you first showed the machine outside you can see the light looks like it is glowing, was that eh case or was it reflecting your camera light
Yes it was slightly on when I first got it. This was one of his older model lights and he switched to a different one now. It doesn't come on unless it's in reverse. I went ahead and purchased his new one.

My 2018 does not have a blue plug in. Any help or pictures finding this?
The plug is black with blue at the end of it and is located in the middle of the bed.
Hey UTV Dirt really good videos on everything y’all do, one question I ordered the led reverse light and I don’t see on my 2020 Ranger XP 1000 where it would plug in at there is a blue plug but it’s plugged in already with nowhere to plug anything else in can you help
There should be two plugs in the back the blue one will have a dust cap plug on it that you have to remove so that you can plug in the light. Mine is a 2018 unless 2020 changed it so not sure. Hope this helps.

It will only work for the XP 1000.

Does this work on 2018 900 XP
No it is only for 2018-2020 XP 1000. I do believe he makes them for the 900. Check him out on ebay. Use the search bar and type in Polaris back up light. His seller name is barrycomputers. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

sad that it won't fit on my 2019 Northstar
Yeah because of the rear mounted muffler. They might come up with something down the line. I will keep my eye open.
@@UTVDIRT I also have a 2019 northstar and wish I could get a backup light do u think it's possible to get this light and still plug and play and maybe locate it somewhere else in the rear?
@@msgt1942 Not sure. You would have to check and see if you have a plug underneath your bed that has a dust cap on it. Also I believe your muffler is in the rear and that's one of the main reasons because their is no where to mount the LED.
After almost 1 year of use not working. Anyone else have this happen?

No it only works on the 18-19 Ranger. Sorry

Will this light work on a 2020 Ranger 570?
No it is for the xp 1000 only.
Or 2020 1000 non xp
at 3:50 is the light glowing a little before you but it in reverse ?
Yes it has a faint light after it shuts off. The instructions says it does that for 2 minutes than shuts off. I checked it and it's off.

I purchased the light off of Ebay. Type in the Ebay search bar Polaris backup light and it should show up. The seller is Barrycomputers llc.

Yeah the muffler is in the way. You can put pods on top. I did a install video on it.

How to I get the reverse light to shut off. It glows when not in reverse. Is there something else I can do so it is off completely when not in reverse
Install a relay in the circuit.
