For the people asking about cutting the hole. Take a box knife and heat the blade up decently. It’ll help soften the plastic so you can make closer more controlled cuts.

I ended up swapping my 12inch light for the same 18inch light you got.
do you have any issues hooking the hot fuse wire from the lightbar harness, to the acc light wire on the pulse bar rather than plugging in to the hot wire on the pulse bar?

When cutting out for rocker switch, did you cut along the pre-outlined area on the switch blanks or smaller?
I cut right on the line. Just make sure you have a sharp blade and take your time.
When you mounted the relay, did you use like a Sheetmetal screw and screw it into the plastic ? Or do you run a screw all the way through the plastic and use a bolt on the other end ??
It was a sheet metal screw and just screwed it into the plastic. Thanks for watching!
When you do these light videos could you show high and low beam with the bar; with out the bar and just the bar alone; thanks, eh?

Hey Guys, did you have any issues with the included mounting hardware? I started assembling and seemed like the alignment for the bolts both to the brush guard and from the bracket to the light needed to be super close together
No I did not have any issues with mounting the light bar. I used EMP mounting brackets.
Hey great video! My question Is do you wish you would of wired the 18 inch light bar to the constant hot or keep it on the key hot? Getting ready to install this as well as the Polaris beacon light. But I just don’t know if I should wire it to constant hot, if it will drain my battery so much I can’t get it started if I ran the lights it for 10-15 minutes at a time?

Thanks! I ran to key hot so the battery wouldn't get drained. If you run to constant hot and your rocker switch has a light on it I believe it will stay on and drain your battery.
UTV DIRT don’t want that then! I don’t want the rocker switch on all the time. Worst case I just leave ranger on while I work to keep lights on

Hello, so the middle wire and bottom wire need to be wired together and then those 2 wires get wired to the harness? I want the dome light to be able to be turned on with the key off. Yes if you want the light wired to constant hot.
Does the wiring harness you have linked come with the adapter for the ranger bus bar?
No it comes separate. I have links in the description of the video for the bus bar plug.
I liked your video and was thinking about getting this light. Can you tell me if you would still recommend this light for a Polaris XP 1000 or if you had to do it all over again would you choose something else?

So did you not use the constant red wire at all? The ground and key on power wires only?
That's correct used key hot and ground only. Didn't want to have power constantly.
Just put one on my ranger after watching this video!

Any overheating issues since its blocking the air to radiator
No over heating issues at all. Works great!
Is the light bar specially for the front bumper
The light bar fits perfectly on the front bumper if that's what you are asking.
So is the light on your rocker switch lit up when the key is not in the ignition?
No the rocker switch light is not on when the key is off. Sounds like you wired yours to constant hot and not a key only hot.
Would you still recommend this light bar? If not what is your recommendation.
Yes I recommend this light. No issues at all and cant beat it for the price.

Would a 20 inch light bar fit?
It might fit but will be tight. I have about a finger width left on both sides of the light.

Hey UTV Dirt just got the same light bar in today for my Ranger, saw yours had two bolts on bottom of light bar mine has 4 sliding bolts, the brackets are curved with two slots in them just wondering how yours was mounted cause I’m confused with this one now lol
Yeah mine only came with 2 bolts but you can use 4 I believe. There are slots to mount two torwards the middle of the light. The curved part mounts onto the curve of the light if that's what you are asking.

UTV DIRT hey how’s it goin bud just got light bar mounted and looks great it was a great recommendation, have one question when we hooked up to the key hit the light turned on but the aux beam toogle switch would not turn it off and when we hooked up to the constant it turned on right away without key on or the toogle switch wouldn’t turn it off either. The pulse plug I used was one off amazon and it was the almost pulse bar pig tail one people said wires are switched around on them but we checked the red and blue wire I have and both were hot and the black was ground any suggestions
The top of the pulse plug is ground so hook ground wire from wiring harness to it and the middle wire is key hot so hook your hot wire from harness to that wire. That is how mine is wired and the switch lights up when key is turned on.
Hey guys. I installed the same light at and wire harness you recommend. No I am getting the led light at flickering and barely working. Any advice?
Sounds like you got a loose connection or bad light. I would check connections first.

How do you wire up the relay?
I purchased a wiring harness with the relay already wired and I just wired the positive and negative to the pulse plug.
@@UTVDIRT My harness didn't come with a relay. I have a soundbar and just installed a light bar. When my music plays it is dimming my light bar. Would a relay stop this?
Yeah it sounds like you are drawing to many amps. The circuit for key hot is only 10 amps and constant hot circuit is a 40 amp circuit.

Sounds like it will. Real simple to test out just switch wires on pulse plug to constant hot.
I installed this exact light and it flickers at low idle. It sure why this would be the case.
Not sure but I would check wire connections to make sure they are good. If everything looks tight I would return LED for new one. Hope this helps. Thanks

The wiring harness is rated at 20 amp circuit. You need to check how many amps your light pulls. If it's under 20 it should be good.
@@UTVDIRT the light bar looks to 34amps so this harness is a no go back to the drawing board

Where at in Ohio are you located? I’m also in Ohio! And do you have a particular place you ride your Ranger?
I am located about 30 minutes away from Akron in a little town called North Jackson. I haven't taken it to a orv park yet just been riding on my land and my buddies land. We do plan on going to Mines and Meadows and some other ones when the weather breaks.
UTV DIRT I’m a bit aways from you. I’m in Wilmington ohio. Not too much around me to ride other than some wooded trails but mostly fields. Got about 8 inches of snow down here and my Ranger xp1000 was a blast to ride in it!
Nice! We got about 3 inches of snow so we had a blast last night but froze. Need a windshield lol!
