  • my first carburettor disassembly ready for the arrival of an ultrasonic cleaner. the carb is very dirty and heavily gummed up so disassembly and cleaning is a necessity.

just cleaned up the carb on my bike. Its a CG125 from 1976. She has been sitting since about 1998. Bit of rust flakes and dirt in the bowl and in the airways. Cleaned it up with petrol and an air line. Should be OK I hope....

Will be fine, as long as the passages are clean.

Thank you, go for it, with a cheap bike like this, you don't have much to loose. Be prepared though to buy an impact driver and Dremel style tool lol.

Hi m8 to be honest I wouldn't bother buying a carburettor kit when you can buy a brand new carburettor on eBay for £10.99 and job done . Just put one on the xl 100s and its spot on now .

Too late lol, tbf I looked at the Chinese carburetors but fancied having a go at a refurbishment + how could I justify buying an ultrasonic cleaner if I didn't 😂

Hello Richard, I'm in the process of fixing up an 82 CB125S. Your videos have been pretty helpful. Do you know what kind of carb is fitted to there bikes? Mine is missing!

I can't tell you the specific details of the carburettor but a quick eBay search will pull up Chinese aftermarket carburetors for this model. I would advise getting a jet kit too as they usually need changing. They are cheap but do seem to work.
