Interesting.For many in the west it is a fairly antiquated approach. The idea of women making themselves fit into a traditional role is almost gone. Even providng little girls with dolls and prams is becoming a thing of the past. My daughter is an engineer and has always been her own person, although she can still do 'girly' if and when she wants. My granddaughter has toys that not gender-specific: she will be able to fix things and, who knows, may become a a builder, electrician or engineer like her parents! My other granddaughter may be an expert bilingual interpreter and teacher like her mum, or a high-flying security software architect like her dad. Nobody will force either of them into roles, although they will be subject to social/advertising/media influences to some extent. Thanks for airing the topic! Best wishes from Scotland, UK.
