That was cool! While I've had a 3P for two years now, I still didn't know some of this. And I enjoy watching others playing the instrument or creating sounds, so please do more of this! I'd love to see you recreating a 909 kick, tom, snare, clap, open/closed hi-hat 😃

Thanks! I’m planning on doing a couple more deep dives with the ND and I’ll def do some 909 stuff.

Thanks man! Wow! I had no idea about holding the button to access second parameter

It is such a small thing but I really do think it helps you edit patches much more quickly!

mate, your album sounds stellar! 😍
finally someone who really understands the Nord Drum: here on YT I only hear super cheesy and boring sounds made with this awesome instrument

Thanks dude I appreciate that! I fell in love with this thing when I stopped treating it like a drum pad and started treating it like a synth.

I think Jerermy's video where he builds a new kit from scratch with the Digitakt was pretty cool , that's why I bought mine years ago :)

Woah, love the different style of video here! Always wondered about how these units worked, and who better to learn about it from than the master himself!

Thank you my friend! I'm planning on doing a bunch of deep dives on this unit over the next couple of weeks. It's my deserted island synth!

I highly recommend it! If I could only keep one thing it would be the Nord Drum.

The first tip will bring joy into my life. :D :D Oh, man. Thank you so much. I should read the manual more carefully. Twice.

I found that one on accident and didn’t realize I was doing it until I realized I wasn’t using the lower parameter button 😂

nice to see that you have two of my favourite synths: Mini XD and ND3P!
about to pull the trigger on a Minitaur. And about to sell my Moog DFAM and Korg Monologue

    • @toskabyss
      @toskabyss  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

IMO Minitaur is a great step up in sound from the Monologue. However, I missed the features of the sequencer when I went to the more slimmed back feature set on the minitaur. But it sounds big and mean!

Got a question of how to make a kit of gear around the Nord Drum ...:
If I wanna play live on the street with The Nord Drum 3P, make both loops and add music while playing, what gear would you suggest, such as what lopp pedal, drum kick pedal? Do you have a suggestion for a a good battery to keep the Nord Drum3 playing live on the street or is a matchbook enough to charge it if outside? and have you found any speakers you like with the Nord Drum that you think is work looking into?
is anything else to get a full kit for playing live please advice me of what to think of when ever you happen to have some time...
I really apprentice the detail you show in your videos! So have begun to follow you.. Really great stuff here! thanks!

I haven't played Nord Drum 3p with out a proper outlet. Unfortunately, laptop won't power the ND3p. My homie Artur recently dropped a video and it looks like he is powering his with a battery block: th-cam.com/video/CGZre5tfcNg/w-d-xo.html
For an amp, I would look at the Roland Cube stuff. Those have been tried and tested for busking.
For backing tracking - on the cheap you could plug a mobile phone's 1/8" output into the aux on the Roland Cube or a PA and use that for backing tracks. Otherwise, you might be looking at a laptop with ableton type situation. Hopefully that is helpful!

Keith I can't tell you how much time I wasted muting all other 6 pads and then recording each one. I did the same when I had the VolcaDrum. I think with drum machines in particular you can just treat Left as bottom end and Right as "tops" and it just always works when you are doing mixing unless you did something ridiculous with one of the tracks @@chiefbucknell
