I’m still on the fence on getting this or R400, been seeing lots of R400s with good reviews. Right now there is a Black Friday Sale for this exhaust which made me interested. If you were to rate them side by side which would you choose?
Ace Rozen my friend has the r400 on his 2017 wrx and my exhaust compared to his is louder and slightly a deeper growl, so if you want it to be louder then def go with the AWE plus the black tips looks awesome! Different to a lot of other options out there, but if you have an after market downpipe paired with the r400 then sounds very very good! I still have a stock downpipe on mine so not sure what it’ll sound with an aftermarket one. Hope this helps your decision!
still the same set up today and still love it! I heard great things about the touring edition too and honestly in my opinion you really can't go wrong with either, but definitely go with the track edition if you want a little deeper of a growl! hope this helped! Thanks for the sub fam!!
@@chia4453 well its definitly not quiet but its a 2.5 inc so its not like if it was 3 ans 4inc tips, its pretty quiet under 2800rpm than it really double or triple when you floor it, car makes alot of rumble noise and sometimes some backfire shots, theres alot of car louder than mine but the touring since nice aswell pljs you have less chance to get arrested if youre unsue
Deanotorious my friend has muffler deletes and his sounds pretty good and it can still pop and crackle but if you really want a deeper tone and more consistent pops and crackles I would say the catback is definitely the better option to go for, especially if you plane on getting a aftermarket down pipe down the road. But yeah this is exhaust is def one of the best I’ve here with a stock down pipe, it loud when you want it to be but cruising is perfect because there’s no drone
@@RiceyRicky So it seems like overall volume between the two are similar but the catback will have a deeper/better tone. Definitely interested in the AWE track edition now.
if you wanted loud you should've went with the track edition! this exhaust still makes me happy to this day. pops and cracks between shifts and sounds crazy loud if you stand behind the car, but with touring edition if you want louder def go with aftermarket downpipes and headers
@@acerzn They won't switch it out for free, but they do sell the track edition section separately if you want to have both. But honestly Touring is great if you want it louder at a downpipe
wait... is this on a 4 banger Subaru??? Why do people even bother with exhaust on 4 cylinder motors?? No matter what exhaust you put on or how much you spend, it does, and will always sound like a pissed off bumble bee. I was googling for a V8 Audi exhaust and somehow this came up. Man what a waste of time. Even most 6 cylinders sound like garbage with exhaust, with a few exceptions. 4 cylinders though... lipstick on a pig, and crappy lipstick at that. If you're happy with it, good on ya, but to most folks, it sounds like trash. Get a V8, or at least an I-6 (don't get a V6 because they sound like shit too)
You clearly don’t belong on this video. This is not an inline 4 cylinder engine for one. Stop clicking and watching random videos if you are a v8 purest. These cars are a blast to drive, stop spreading hate.
@@lizbelli8287 Well I'm looking for the AWE track edition exhaust for my V8 S5. This is a review of said exhaust. I have actually only ever seen it on an S5. Maybe if the title were more specific, I wouldn't have clicked on it. Also, yes, that's a WRX and a 4 banger. I didn't say it was an inline 4. I said it was a 4 banger (aka cylinder) subaru. Then I said I don't understand why people bother with exhaust on I-4s because that's what 99% of 4 cylinder engines are. And if you're gonna troll me over the semantics between an inline and a flat 4, maybe YOU shouldn't be posting on youtube
@@therealjoshtodd From your first comment “why do people even bother with an exhaust on I-4’s”. So yeah- you called it an I4, otherwise why would you even bother saying that. Stop being a toxic ass and keep your mouth shut if you have nothing good to say about someones pride and joy. Im sick of seeing people put others down for no reason. If you like different cars then go watch videos on those and leave positive or constructive comments there.
2nd gear. Take it to 4.5 RPM and clutch in and pop it out of gear at the exact same time abruptly.. it'll pop

It giggles and pops and it's loud when you want it to be. Sounds like the ideal woman.
This is probably a stupid question, but do you need a tune when you put the exhaust on?
no
Is the track too loud on stock down pipes?
Nice vid man just subbed. I’m on the fence between the Track and the Touring edition. Are you still running this exhaust today? Same feelings?

RiceyRicky thank you looking forward to more vids!
Great Vid! How about the drone compare to R400?
the drone is virtually non existent, i can carry conversations and listen to music without trouble
Does anyone know what you need to do if you want this exhaust put don’t have a stock downpipe!
subispeed sells gaskets and other stuff for already modded downpipes, they're pretty inexpensive too so try checking there
What down pipe do you have?
Nathan Ball just a stock downpipe
Thank you made my decision.

Great video man. I'm also in MA and have a 2019 CWP WRX lol. How does the volume/tone compare to just muffler deletes?
