Great information! I'm the grandmother of a 4-year-old child that was diagnosed with autism at age 2 yrs. and 10 months old. She attends an ABA center, but we are not included in what my granddaughter is doing there. She began crying when I would drive into the parking lot. I didn't want her to go there anymore. I simply have little say so on the matter. My daughter shuts me down and tells me I'm not a BCBA. For one year the center claims that they are helping her with identify her family members, but I've seen no success. However, a friend of mine, a retired SLP taught me how to get my granddaughter to call me grandma in just a week. I've enjoyed this podcast, but I have no hope in getting my granddaughter to a better center. I appreciate your work; you help me to hang in there and do what I can with the little time my daughter gives me.

Thank you for the lesson, I'm a mom of 2 beautiful kids and my first kid is 5 and 1/2 years nAutistic boy and in my country every therapy is very very expensive and I can't afford it. And I'm planing to help my boy at home so what do you suggest me and from where I start and what should I do. Thank you and stay blessed
I live in Canada but unfortunately, my city does not have a special needs placement school. Just regular schools (catholic or public) and ABA/IBI centres.
I understand where you're coming from. I'd love it if you joined my online course, as you will definitely feel supported and helped there. For more info, join a free workshop here: www.marybarbera.com/workshops

Can you please provide a link to one of the studies that you mentioned that concluded that kids need 40hr per week. Thanks.
