My son is in Acorn ABA but we are switching to another center to fit his needs. He had a developmental therapist for almost a year, it was coaching based so it was a waste of time. Basically showing up and telling us tips and tricks we were already doing. He's 2 and I hope he thrives in this new center. My wife and I spend so much on after aba childcare(a nanny) since he finishes his day there at noon and we work till 7.
I'd love it if you joined my online course, as you will definitely feel supported and helped there. For more info, join a free workshop here: www.marybarbera.com/workshops
What are your thoughts on no ABA at all for a child diagnosed with autism? Are speech and OT sometimes adequate? Or is ABA in some form always the best for autism regardless of home vs. center? What are factors that make one option better than the other in terms of helping the child?
ABA is the most scientifically proven best treatment for children with autism, as long as it's done correctly. I explain best practices for treatment of early signs of autism in this free webinar: MaryBarbera.com/workshop.

Hi! I have a 5 and half year old son who was diagnosed with autism. He gets 40 hours ABA per week. Would you recommend to continue with ABA or look for a school setting? The ABA center could keep him till he turns 13 years.
I would highly recommend joining my online course and community, which will empower you with knowledge on how to help him at home and make sure the clinic is creating goals that are actually appropriate for his skill level. To learn more, check out my resources at MaryBarbera.com/links-yt
Who pays for my child to go to the ABA Centers? Is that something that health insurance typically pays for, or is that something I would have to pay for out of pocket like a private school?
Hi Madam - My child is 3.5 years old. He has speech delay. He has good receptive skills, good pointing, more than 200 words vocabulary. However, he cannot give verbal response despite knowing the name of things. He keeps singing Rhymes most of the times when we are doing any activities with him. Constantly singing Rhymes is affecting his communication and concentration. Please advise how we can stop child's behaviour of constantly singing Rhymes.
Great video!!! Do you think Aba or a development pre k is better for autism?

I’m having a hard time finding my son in home ABA therapy. So far I have only found one and there is a 10 week wait.
We’ve had similar issues getting services. Long waiting lists (in FL).
