Yes, yes! That's what I've been trying to tell people. Jasper has struggled just as much as she's fought. But for some reason, a lot of people ignore that and hyper focus on the bad things she's done, calling her irredeemable. But then the same people will turn around, and brush what Peridot and Lazuli have done under the rug because they look cute, I guess. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Peridot or Lazuli, but I never understood why they get a free pass.
Neon Bat Okay, I don't want to start a fight but I will tell you my opinion. Lapis was never bad. She was stuck in a mirror on accident and was kept by the cgs. cgs = crystal gems. She thought they were responsible for poofing her and thinking they did it on purpose when it was on accident. That is why lapis is redeemable. It was a big misunderstanding for lapis and the cgs. Peridot is redeemable because she had no personal ties to war and the cgs. She was just checking progress on the cluster and the cgs interrupted ot. She was never really bad. She was just trying to complete her mission. Plus she had valuable information that saved them from getting destroyed on the cluster. Now jasper, I think, shouldn't be redeemed because she was a war soldier and the cgs are responsible for the death of her diamond and even her corruption. Why would you join the people who did that to you? Anyway that is just my opinion. Sorry for the essay.

I just find it strange that her negative actions towards Steven and the gems, and even her admitting to her enjoyment of torturing Jasper, is often brushed off due to her torment in the mirror. But they then disregard all of the torture that Jasper went through, because 'she's a Homeworld solider'. But Rose was a solider too, and she is good. And well, all of the crystal gems fought in the war, making them all soldiers. And I think Jasper being redeemed would be a good thing. Forgiveness is a big theme in Steven Universe, and I think Jasper would be a great example of how even the most painful actions can be forgiven. But, don't worry about a fight. What if Steven's dream leads him ti Eyeball and what she saw. Blue Diamond had Rubies in her court when she arrived on Earth with her palanquin and Rose ambushed them. Since Rubies seem to be bodyguards, I wouldn't put it past that every Diamond had a Ruby Squad to bodyguard them. Inb4 someone says "But Eyeball is in space." Malachite was super deep in the ocean, and both are still conscious

The book on top of the pile in "Buddy's Book" (seen at 3:05) COULD BE a book about Kintsugi, the Japanese Art of fixing broken pottery with fine metals, like Gold, Platinum or Silver. Foreshadowing on how to fix shattered gems? Corrupted gems? Maybe it was in reference to the Cluster. Maybe it's just a book about pottery or Greek History *shrug*

SliceofOtaku like your idea but I believe when a gem is in a bubble it's in a dream state the mind is active like when we sleep we dream, 1 minute in real time could an hour in a dream, but instead of seeing Jasper dreaming I think we'll see her memories some of them fuzzy do to the corruption though since we don't know all that much about the gem bubbles this is no telling what would happen if Steven would to enter the mind of a gem in a bubble.
I was not a huge fan of Jasper at first. She's still not a favorite, but for the way the plotline is going, she has grown on me a little, and with the corruption and hints of dark stuff ahead, she's become a far more fascinating character.
I think that the next few episodes, and the 'recovery mission' are just going to be about lion being captured and taked to a zoo or something while we'll be getting excited over jasper for nothing.
It will tie into curing corruption, rebuilding pink diamond and redeeming jasper. Maybe even a mysterious "hope diamond", the blood relative of blue diamond. Who do you bet "hope diamond" is, and why?

Steven sees through blue diamonds eyes in his dreams then he and his dad go to where pink diamond was shattered then find blue diamond and blue pearl morning over the loss of pink diamond and Steven starts crying blue diamonds tears, then blue pearl hears them and goes to investigate so Greg jumps out of the bush they were hiding in then his dad Greg relates to losing someone (Rose quarts), as blue diamond was close to pink diamond then blue diamond takes Greg to a human zoo and that's where the crystal gems go after him under cover as seen in gem heist. I'm sure I missed stuff but I watched that episode a while ago.
I'd like to also think that maybe in his dream, he will get some of Rose's memories, seeing some of the war perhaps even, or the aftermath? This prediction is way better though.
I feel like this or something similar may happen now after all the events of wanted... I hope some deep conversations and understanding will start to come out among the crystal gems now that Steven has seen homeworld and the discoveries surrounding pink diamond have come to light.
With all said and done, when whole cartoon is about forgiveness and redemption, it is dumb to not give it to only character which actually deserves it. Sometimes it feels like Jasper might has the deepest character of all gems.
The Ruby Squad, especially Eyeball might unbubble Jasper to bring her back to homeworld unaware she's corrupted, if they some how make it back to Earth from outerspace, which is somewhat possible.
stevens dream is seen through blue diamonds eyes, blue diamond is sad that pink diamond is gone so she is at the palanquin. She sees Greg after steven leads him there and tells him she has lost someone she loves, and that no one could understand. Greg tells her that he has been through all of that. Blue diamond remembers that the cluster is supposed to destroy earth and decides to take Greg to space to "save him" from the geoweapon in the earth. The gems must save Greg from blue diamonds. [i think tell me if I'm right)
While I'd like to think it would be Jasper to start this all off, I think it is more likely to be a dream contained within the Rose Quartz gem. I reckon that is the more likely direction the show will take.
I was thinking that the Rubies would go, unbubble, and take Jasper. This would let Steven have his dream, and later having to do the Rescue mission episode
I JUST NOTICED SOMETHING ABOUT THOSE PALANQUINS! the pink one probably wouldn't be a palanquin from homeworld, because if you look at the center of it, there's a little star on it! There's even a chance it could have been owned by Rose, because the star has rounded edges, as if it were a flower petal. I mean, just LOOK at those rose bushes! where there's roses, there's gotta be Rose Quartz!
In some ways...I almost feel that while Jasper has more to relay in terms of information...she's not very likely to pull a 180 in allegiance. Her ruthlessness, combined with her history and milleniums of allegiance to the Diamonds may make her more of a tragic villain, one that is shown the bonds of a family and a purpose beyond conquering, but like Azula (from ATLA), consider those to be weaknesses of being outcast. Seeing her take advantage of the CG's mercy would be just as fascinating if only to develop her level of influence over Homeworld's Gems. While the Diamond Authority may view the Cluster as a weapon and Corrupted Gems as animals, Jasper has shown willingness to wield the CorrGems as a battalion. An insurrection on Homeworld wouldn't be too far off from this scenario, if Jasper gathered enough of her YD compatriots to control one of the Diamonds through Corruption. Gahh...the lapses between bombs make me ansty and fanficcy. GET HERE 2017! I just lost Carrie Fisher! :(
I dont really like the idea of Jasper redeeming herself. I would like that they make her more reliable have an arc from her point of view but that in the end she choice to stay loya to the diamonds some people never change and more if they dont wanna. Also make that everyone they fight become a CG is kinda ridiculous
With this hypothesis, I feel sorry for Jasper. I'm being honest here, I never thought that Jasper was a bad Gem, but scared and angry. And you know what happens when you first experience fear and anger at the same time; you react and become a war machine, then can't get out. As the story progressed, Jasper's true colors being to show to the point of her corruption. Her anger to Rose Quartz, her sadness of losing Pink Diamond, her hope to become whole again with Fusion. Jasper has her state of mind trapped in the past. And I feel very sorry for the Quarts warrior. I truly do.

when you think about it ,her whole life jasper probably thought of herself like trash. after pink diamonds death her subordinates along with jasper was probably treated badly for primarily the fact that they failed to protect their diamond which was pink diamond. she must have struggle in homeworld trying to be one of the elite gems again under yellow diamond. and after several loses against the crystal gem it just reminds her on how useless she is.

Right, just because Amethyst called her "sis" doesn't mean that everything is hunky dory between them in Amethyst's eyes. With her just getting corrupted seconds earlier I think its closer to not speaking ill of the dead although Jasper isn't dead obviously.

Steven sees through blue diamonds eyes in his dreams then he and his dad go to where pink diamond was shattered then find blue diamond and blue pearl morning over the loss of pink diamond and Steven starts crying blue diamonds tears, then blue pearl hears them and goes to investigate so Greg jumps out of the bush they were hiding in then his dad Greg relates to losing someone (Rose quarts), as blue diamond was close to pink diamond then blue diamond takes Greg to a human zoo and that's where the crystal gems go after him under cover as seen in gem heist. I'm sure I missed stuff but I watched that episode a while ago.
For the record - the palanquin in buddy's book is Blue Diamonds - the top matches hers in The Answer.
I'd like to also think that maybe in his dream, he will get some of Rose's memories, seeing some of the war perhaps even, or the aftermath?
This prediction is way better though.

I feel like this or something similar may happen now after all the events of wanted... I hope some deep conversations and understanding will start to come out among the crystal gems now that Steven has seen homeworld and the discoveries surrounding pink diamond have come to light.

With all said and done, when whole cartoon is about forgiveness and redemption, it is dumb to not give it to only character which actually deserves it.
Sometimes it feels like Jasper might has the deepest character of all gems.
The Ruby Squad, especially Eyeball might unbubble Jasper to bring her back to homeworld unaware she's corrupted, if they some how make it back to Earth from outerspace, which is somewhat possible.
stevens dream is seen through blue diamonds eyes, blue diamond is sad that pink diamond is gone so she is at the palanquin. She sees Greg after steven leads him there and tells him she has lost someone she loves, and that no one could understand. Greg tells her that he has been through all of that. Blue diamond remembers that the cluster is supposed to destroy earth and decides to take Greg to space to "save him" from the geoweapon in the earth. The gems must save Greg from blue diamonds. [i think tell me if I'm right)

While I'd like to think it would be Jasper to start this all off, I think it is more likely to be a dream contained within the Rose Quartz gem. I reckon that is the more likely direction the show will take.
I was thinking that the Rubies would go, unbubble, and take Jasper. This would let Steven have his dream, and later having to do the Rescue mission episode
I JUST NOTICED SOMETHING ABOUT THOSE PALANQUINS! the pink one probably wouldn't be a palanquin from homeworld, because if you look at the center of it, there's a little star on it! There's even a chance it could have been owned by Rose, because the star has rounded edges, as if it were a flower petal. I mean, just LOOK at those rose bushes! where there's roses, there's gotta be Rose Quartz!
In some ways...I almost feel that while Jasper has more to relay in terms of information...she's not very likely to pull a 180 in allegiance. Her ruthlessness, combined with her history and milleniums of allegiance to the Diamonds may make her more of a tragic villain, one that is shown the bonds of a family and a purpose beyond conquering, but like Azula (from ATLA), consider those to be weaknesses of being outcast. Seeing her take advantage of the CG's mercy would be just as fascinating if only to develop her level of influence over Homeworld's Gems. While the Diamond Authority may view the Cluster as a weapon and Corrupted Gems as animals, Jasper has shown willingness to wield the CorrGems as a battalion. An insurrection on Homeworld wouldn't be too far off from this scenario, if Jasper gathered enough of her YD compatriots to control one of the Diamonds through Corruption.

I dont really like the idea of Jasper redeeming herself. I would like that they make her more reliable have an arc from her point of view but that in the end she choice to stay loya to the diamonds some people never change and more if they dont wanna. Also make that everyone they fight become a CG is kinda ridiculous

With this hypothesis, I feel sorry for Jasper. I'm being honest here, I never thought that Jasper was a bad Gem, but scared and angry. And you know what happens when you first experience fear and anger at the same time; you react and become a war machine, then can't get out. As the story progressed, Jasper's true colors being to show to the point of her corruption. Her anger to Rose Quartz, her sadness of losing Pink Diamond, her hope to become whole again with Fusion. Jasper has her state of mind trapped in the past. And I feel very sorry for the Quarts warrior. I truly do.

- had a comfortable life, privileges and rights before the war
- isn't a soldier / didn't fight in the war
- has a defined sense of self worth (steven, amethyst, jasper and (formerly) pearl all have issues w self hatred/feeling inferior and wanting to prove themselves)
compared to gems that fought in the war, gems that experienced corruption, and pearls as a whole - i'm not saying lapis doesn't have issues but let's be real.
what if Steven dreams about the gems switching places with peridot, lapis , and Jasper.

when you think about it ,her whole life jasper probably thought of herself like trash. after pink diamonds death her subordinates along with jasper was probably treated badly for primarily the fact that they failed to protect their diamond which was pink diamond. she must have struggle in homeworld trying to be one of the elite gems again under yellow diamond. and after several loses against the crystal gem it just reminds her on how useless she is.

Right, just because Amethyst called her "sis" doesn't mean that everything is hunky dory between them in Amethyst's eyes. With her just getting corrupted seconds earlier I think its closer to not speaking ill of the dead although Jasper isn't dead obviously.

What if gems actually FEEL it when their diamond is shattered? Like they are linked to them. It would explain why Jasper was so distraught when talking about Pink Diamond being shattered.
