They don't do much post-production on the sound, everything sound like they sound live, even the vocal effect was actually a live mic effect most likely triggered by a pedal effect or timed by the click track. Also the drummer here is Fumiya btw, he is also the drummer for Unlucky Morpheus band you've watched too, that's just how his drum always sound like live lol. Fumiya played for Galneryus from 2016 to 2020 during which he was also playing for Unlucky Morpheus.

GALNERYUS is not only exceptional in terms of composition and performance, but also stands out for its integration of "Kayōkyoku" elements, a distinctive style of Japanese pop that emerged in the early 20th century. This fusion makes for a deeply nuanced and enjoyable experience.
On the other hand, Unlucky Morpheus is an extremely Japanese band in rather different ways. They incorporate elements of Otaku culture, J-metal bands, ancient Japanese folklore, and Japanese archaic language. Unlike GALNERYUS, UM can easily be misunderstood by audiences not familiar with the Japanese context.
As for LOVEBITES, all of their lyrics are in English, eliminating the risk of misunderstanding and making them a band that can be confidently recommended. Although, they use a scale called “Yonanuki", which looks identical to the pentatonic scale but is used differently, creating a uniquely Japanese taste.
Finally, BAND-MAID often uses Japanese lyrics, but they are essentially a straightforward rock band, which is one of their strengths in overseas countries. Also, their record label, Pony Canyon, is actively pursuing overseas promotion and marketing, conducting extensive international tours and diligently adding English subtitles.
Galneryus reminds me of European bands like stratovarius or sonata arctica. Other japanese bands as you said actually have a japanese band type of Sound (idk how to explain it). Ofc galneryus has it too but it's way less than other bands
Hello brother, I discovered your channel with your first galneryus reaction, which was superb by the way! I've been an absolute galneryus fan for several years now and I love the galneryus reaction videos on TH-cam too so I'm always happy to see new reactions. I've got loads of songs to recommend from this wonderful band ( all of them lol) but if I had to pick just a few I'd say: rain of tears, accross the rainbow , the force of courage, tear off your chain, cause disaray, point of no return, destination, save you, burn my heart, Angel of salivation ( the live version not the clip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)....
That's a lot ahah a but can you tell me what your genre is ( heavier, power metal, prog etc,... ) and I'll tell you what to listen to! And for all the videos, always go for the live shows, and I'd recommend the Syu Gaming channel, which posts lots of high-quality live shows.
Thanks a lot! I generally lean towards the prog rock and metal style. I like classic metal and old rock, also blues and jazz and classic music. I tend to have a lot of appreciation when bands mix a lot of genres and are innovative :)

Galneryus has done heaps of amazing songs also for the first half of the band they had a different vocalist YAMA-B and their style evolves and changes throughout the years. So some good songs I would recommend are the force of courage, raise my sword, angel of salvation, brutal spiral of emotions, whatever it takes (raise our hands), T.F.F.B, destiny, hunting for your dream, ultimate sacrifice, everlasting, whisper in the red sky, struggle for the freedom flag, united flag, the flag of reincarnation, and chasing the wind.
