- Stamford Hill is an area in Inner London, England, about 5.5 miles north-east of Charing Cross. The neighbourhood is a sub-district of Hackney, the major component of the London Borough of Hackney, and is known for its Hasidic community, the largest concentration of Hasidic Jews in Europe.

I am proud, as a boring English Christian person, that we have the largest Hasidic community in Europe. We have never feared their presence, and have been very relaxed about their community. I welcome them.
They are doing their own thing, minding their own business. They're not dangerous or threatening (like other groups, say more, say no more). On the other hand, if you're not one of them, they don't care about you, at all. At all.
But they are not integrating with the society. I thought that was the issue?

A Jewish man came to my school once 2005-2010 and spoke about his community or something.
It was some kind of informative thing. Gladesmore Community School very close to SH.
But I'm guessing most viewers aren't from London or the UK...

I used to live near there, sometimes drank in The Amhusrt on the corner if it's still there, the Turkish 24-hour bakery !
There's also a Jewish presence in Golder's Green.
I did a room viewing near there by a Jewish man with a few other potential tenants. I decided it wasn't for me.

They are allowed to follow their faith living in a british country. Have their own shops drs hospitals schools allowed to wear their own religious clothing allowed to speak their own language without anyone saying anything to them. No one asks them why their women all wear the same things and if they are forced to cover their heads no ones asks them y they expect their women to have soo many children like they are baby machines? Dont their women feel like wearing nice clothes with colour? is that not oppression?
Not forgetting male genital mutilation. I'm all for people being able to live the lives they wish but they should not be allowed to do that to babies for religious or cultural reasons. Just wrong.

Yes, we have many Jews in London, Golders Green is another famous part of London which has Jewish hertiage. Sadly it seems mass immigration from nations who hate them will cause a lot of Jewish people to leave. I hope not.

So let's get you in order. The ultra-Orthodox are divided into 3 currents.
1. The Hasidic current - is the current shown in the video.

2. The Lithuanian current -
To which I belong (black design hat and short suit and wigs behind the ears) the current became stronger as a result of the spread of the Hasidic movement in Eastern Europe.
It was strongly opposed by the founder of the genius Lithuanian movement from Vilna and his students
3. The Spanish current - will dress like the Lithuanian current but in terms of prayer and Jewish customs will act as they did in North Africa
(Morocco, Tunis, Algiers)As for the women, the division is only in the Spanish current which forbids wigs, but instead covers them with a handkerchief.

What I have found in life is the Jewish community is very distrustful of everyone but them selves. Islam is very welcome but on their own terms if they can convince you. I guess that's why so many people converted to either or and not Christianity as Christianity is perhaps too forgiving to all and everyone. I say all this as an atheist i guess that's what they would call me.
Christianity, has been dubbed by Paul, I mean if Jesus while he was here laid certain laws. How can a guy who’s been known to be a criminal, liar and also a Christian killer? Jews are of Britain, they have always had their areas in the East End and North London. It is mass migration from Jew hating nations which will make them disperse I fear. Whether good or bad, they are a part of British history as far back as the early days of the Kingdom and Britain should be proud that London has the most Jews out of Europe, after World War II, to be a safe haven for Jews, who could go to Israel and be safer, they decide to stay put here at home, that is a good sign about British people.
