Step 1 IF YOU USE GARDEN HOSE YOU ARE CONTAMINATING YOUR WATER HOSE HAS BACTERIA AND DISEASE,

Why not just use bleach? I have about 7 bottles we refill each week and this would get expensive. We have been refilling water bottles for 23 yrs and bleach has always worked for us.

Unless your garden hose was just sanitized, you contaminated your bottle as soon as you rinsed it out.

That's not sanitized because you used hose water. There's so much bacteria in faucet water!

Need to redo this video and use drinking water approved hose and using hose off the ground. Do some research.

Get a drinking water grade hose (like for an RV) and also a filter that goes on it to refill your water bottles. It guarantees the cleanest drinking water and it's safety. It costs a little more initially, see on Amazon, but it's well worth it to make sure your water is safe, clean, and disinfected. That's what RVers use on their rigs!

The efferdent part makes sense, but then the rinse with city water once...then what? Cynic in me says this is a promo for the water caps that he describes several times, because I have to buy those too...why not just take the empty to Home Depot and exchange it for a fresh filled new one for 6.95? The efferdent alone ($2) plus the city water cost (varies) plus the caps are $18 for 25 caps, all this adds up to probably $4 to $5 depending on where you live.

How long did you plan on keeping the water in the hose warm lol? It goes cold after seconds

The problems start from it never air drying I am really surprised you didn’t do follow up “dry completely without cap on”

Just buy a hose that is only for cleaning your bottles keep it some place were it won't get contaminated

I've used several different caps. Does anyone have a trick where you can reuse these at least 3 times? I typically use a spoon to get them off but they stretch out over time or if one just gives you a hard time.
