    Thank you, this is great. You're right, there aren't good videos out there that showed this set up.

      Glad you liked it. I will post more videos soon on the rest of the build. If you have questions, please ask. It was a fun project and almost done. It has a fiberglass body that is done and I am very happy with it.

    This is exactly what I needed to see. I found an old frame and I'm doing a rebuild from the frame up. I've worked on cars before but never a go kart. This video really helped. Thanks.

      Glad it helped. I will hopefully post more videos soon. I am working on the brake setup now. They are really fun to work on.

      @@milleraerodesigns I'll look forward to it. I just bought a welder today and ordered a live axle kit. Can't wait to start tinkering.

    • @milleraerodesigns
      @milleraerodesigns  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@toecutter303 I hope you enjoy the tinkering as much as I do. A welder is extremely helpful. The body of this Go Kart is done minus the final polish. I have that video up too but it is just pictures put into a video. Next for me is the brake so that is the next thing I will post probably.

      @@milleraerodesigns do you know how I can get new live axle straight when I weld it. I've tried to measure from a few different spots and I'm coming up with different numbers.

    • @milleraerodesigns
      @milleraerodesigns  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@toecutter303 there are 2 ways to do it that have worked for me in the past. Both assume the frame is straight. That might be why you are getting different numbers. You may want to check that first.
      The first way is to take a point at the front of the cart that is the measured our known center. Then measure where the center is at the axle. Center the axle on the frame from side to side and measure from the front point to the end of the axle on both sides and the distance should be the same. If that's not working, it could be your frame is a little tweaked. Doesn't take much.
      The second way is to take and measure the center of the axle and line it up with the center of the kart. Then use a carpenters square to square it up. Anything that is a known 90 degrees will work. You can square up the axle with any bar that runs front to back if it has parallel bars on each side of the frame.
      I hope that helps. Let me know if you have other issues.

    Hey where did you buy your brake control arm/ rods and spring

    • @milleraerodesigns
      @milleraerodesigns  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are "go powersports" brand return springs but I bought them through Amazon to save shipping time. The brake and throttle pedals came with the go kart. The rods are just bolts. I hope that helps.

      @@milleraerodesigns thank you, I meant from your brake video the comments are turned off on that video. You have two rods with a spring. I can’t seem to find them anywhere

    I hate to say it but, you put the pedals on backwards. Those are pedals originally designed by Manco. I have a stock manco go kart with the pedals on correctly.

    What go kart is this

    • @milleraerodesigns
      @milleraerodesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have no idea. I believe it was a promotional go kart. It has a NASCAR body for it. If you look at one our the other videos on my channel, it shows the body. I will eventually get to the brake system and then eventually the while thing done.
