@@MS-mr4zm Well "real cars" are great for bad weather, but this is a stripped down light weight performance car, that is a fair weather vehicle. That lightness is what allows performance in all aspects of driving: braking, turning and accelerating. You can add a turbo to the goblin, and easily get 300-400 hp in a 1550lb car. Where I live, the nearest off road park for a Razr is 2 hours away, and I have to trailer it. The DF Goblin is street legal, so I get to drive it daily (Provided the weather is good, which is 8-9 months of the year here, even in winter I drive it weekly).

It had no low end though, you had to push it and jump in or start on a hill, but once it got going it was quick...
Fasten the passenger side harness when there isn't someone in the seat so the belts don't fly around. When you get in, sit on the side rail, put both Feet in first and slide your butt into the seat....easier than sitting first and lifting your foot over and in.
Needs some front fenders maybe.. I drive to many rural roads. Taken too many rocks to the face in a jeep on gravel to learn that wheels outside the well hurt lol. Still pretty sick. Nice

I've always wanted to add a manual transmission to a go kart. Not one of those up and down patterns either, I wanted an H pattern in a go kart and its so hard to find any transmissions small enough and engines small enough to do it. You're essentially building a car with all the support from the weight at that point.

You can make one street legal yourself lol, it would probably be under 500$ on most karts, you just have to research what you need to add on and register it with the dmv

I wouldn't recommend doing that while driving, but you can legally use white of course and a few other colors depending on the state, but it's more for show!
its a kit-car. you buy the Kit and have a donor car (I think this kit is based on a Chevy sedan) and you have to basically "Frankenstein" the thing together lol ive built something similar before with a different Kit. Fun as hell when completed.
Also adding dedicated blinkers next to the outside sides of the rear lights would be a requirement for making the vehicle street legal in countries like Australia that don’t allow brake lights to also function as blinkers! :)

The kit itself I believe starts at $7k-$8k, and that is for the frame of the kit, you will need a donor car to pull an engine, trans, etc out of.

The DF Goblin base kit is still under $10,000 in 2022. It requires a working Chevy Cobalt as a parts car for engine, trans and suspension. Don't forget the wiring harness. Depending on how good your donor car is, your costs are only going to be a couple thousand more than the base kit and cost of the car. This is the Lotus 7 of the 2020's. Light, maneuverable, and fast. Unlike the Lotus 7, this car with even the stock engine, has almost more power than you can use on the road. With a 6-1 lbs to hp ratio, this is wicked fast up to 80 mph when the barn door effect starts to show its ugly head. I want one. But I fear I'm too old to ever complete the build. Anyone out there want to offer a test drive to an old fart?
Yup! It's based on the Cobalt like I mentioned but I'm sure with the prices of everything this year, they are probably still a good bit! I wouldn't say it has a crazy amount of power at all! Very manageable for the road and honestly could use a supercharger. It's not very quick, but handles well and is super fun to drive! Unless you meant the Lotus, this Goblin isn't fast!

It's street legal in SC and I forgot where the company is located, but I would assume there's a good amount of states it would pass! Just have to check with your local DMV/registration office to see!
Driving lesson 101, when driving through a left or right hand sweeping turn, Do not tilt your head in the direction of the turn!. In fact till your head the opposite way to keep your eyes horizontal to the road. Motorcycle road Racers do it.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed yeah it throws off your depth perception, it's why you see people on motorcycles adjusting as they go through the turn. Try an experiment, when you're driving straight tilt your head to the right or the left, your natural tendency is to steer in the direction your head tilts.
