Thank you for your videos Taylor. I've recently found your channel and I have been watching your videos on freelancing, Upwork, WordPress and web development. In fact, your videos have helped me recover the motivation to pursue a career on web development. I have been suffering strong impostor syndrome and one of your videos helped me quite a bit. I hope you are doing well. Kind regards from Venezuela.
Very informative. I am currently using elementor for my first ever client and honestly I am loving it. I will try Divi as well. Thanks for an amazing video.
Great to hear and solid choice! Thanks for sharing! Now that you know how to use Elementor, Divi will be pretty easy to figure out. Both have a ton of features though.

Very good question! To be honest, on Upwork there are jobs to work with all popular WP themes and you could specialize in one if you wanted. I would be interested in doing more research and seeing actual numbers on this. There are lots of Divi and Elementor jobs for sure. Regarding other themes that are popular and good to work with, a few that come to mind are StudioPress themes (Genesis Framework), Astra, and GeneratePress.
I would also say that the #1 thing to watch out for with any theme is to make sure it's actively maintained and has been recently updated. There are tons of good and bad themes out there, but most of the really bad ones I see are old.
@@coding4tacos what is the difference between free version and paid version of a theme for a developer who can code ? for example, we have free and paid versions of GeneratePress theme or Astra theme. as per my knowledge, the paid version only helps non-coders. what do you think ? if you know coding, do you still prefer the paid one?
@@laxmiprasanna4092 Another super interesting question, but it would be different for every theme. Generally, I'd still want to have the pro version. In the case of these two themes, you could do a lot with the free version and a child theme, but one of the main benefits you get with the premium versions are the templates.
@@karna5998 I think the connects are actually a good thing because it makes sure that only serious freelancers apply to the jobs. Everyone starts with a certain number of connects and even the biggest jobs cost less than $1 usd to apply to.
Bro, I absolutely don't know anything about css or WordPress. I know a little but of C++ but that's about it. I really wanna get into web development and freelance as a developer. Where should I start from? what all do I need to learn? what technical skills do I need? pls help! :)
Nice vidio. I want to make some websites for my portfolio in fiverr. I'am beginner and i want to freelance. Can you suggest me how i can build free websites for my portfolio in fiverr. I learnt wordpress and i can make websites with page builders. Thanks in advance
As I'm sure you know, you can use something like Local by Flywheel to practice building WP sites. I don't know of any good places to host WordPress sites for free, unfortunately. You could host static sites and pages for your portfolio on Netlify or GitHub pages.

You got it! Learning consistently is the only way. As long as you are able to find a balance, coding 6-7 days a week will really help

Great advice!
I can't get into any page builders after using Oxygen. By far the best and easiest to learn, and speed is not an issue
can you talk about the connect points system on upwork?
Connects cost $0.15 and you need to use between 2 and 6 connects to apply to most jobs on the platform
@@coding4tacos is it deducted even if I don't get the work? Or isit deducted on the work that my proposal gets accepted on
@@karna5998 that is the cost to apply to the job either way
