This is all so variable. I’m 2.5 years into handstands and can do 30s with a really strong straight line. It’s been quite the journey though. Got my muscle up after 20 mins of tuition. Key point, don’t worry about how long it takes. It you want it, you’ll get there eventually. Progress rolls like a brick, but it does roll!
Thanks you for sharing these personal and average person info ! Great reminder to "stick to the plan and trust the process!". Even though i do score some flexibility points, i don't think i can do a pancake within 4 months... And i realise thanks to you that this mindset is probably slowing me down even though i already accepted to work on it for 18months... Let's trust the process and the body from now on! I hope to see your channel growing faster in 2025!
IMO your "average person" ETAs are quite optimistic 😅 I'm sure they are accurate in your experience coaching people who are dedicated to these pursuits, but someone training them casually/infrequently and without a coach i would double to triple your times! That being said i fully agree with you that anyone can achieve these (i know i will get there eventually) if they stay consistent over a long period of time.
Agreed! Without coaching and only relying on YT videos with casual practice, my handstands are still not 100% consistent though I did get my first 10s hold in the first 6-9 months or so
