I had the privilege of meeting Norm a number of years ago at a Toronto car show. No one else was around and I got talking to him, what a great guy. He told me about acting on the Beverly Hillbillies show and also Ben Hur. The T Bucket is a hot rod icon.

1970 I was 16 years old and at Irwindale Raceway walking the pits. I met Tommy Ivo, he had two burned up slicks mounted on aluminum slotted rims. He sold me those two wheels and tires for $25.00 on the spot. I took them home and put them in my Dads garage. I had nothing to put them on, I was only 16 but....It was cool when my friends came over and I could point to them and say, I got them from Tommy Ivo...Years later after I moved out Pop said get rid of them I need the room...lol.

Grabowksy's 'Kooky' car was always my favourite T-bucket. Didn't Ed Roth start off working at Disneyland, doing fibreglass for their go-karts and rides. And I know Roth loved doing burn-outs, but I heard he never drank or did any drugs, because of his Mormonism.

Awesome video! Do you guys know when and where will that Kookie Kar be displayed to the public again? I'm a car photographer and have a 1/24 scale model of that car. Thank you.

Is that the real Norm car or a clone? I thought that the original car was missing.

Norms car was purchased at auction a few years back restored back to the way it’s shown by Brizo.

LOL - they didn't start removing the fenders until the "Kookie Kar" debuted? Dude - you need to do some actual research....
