Since the actual meat of this video is all edge cases I’ll add a couple more where I have gained Royal Seal before.
1) Artisan gain when using your last action on artisan. It’s kind of nice because you can top deck another terminal like a smithy with your artisan play and then buy and top deck a village with RS.
2) Treasure gain for Hero while moving your page up the line. In games where payload is coming primarily from actions and I don’t want treasures, I’ll usually take one RS over a gold.
The common theme in both of these is that you don’t have to waste a buy on RS and your other gain options have limited benefit. I think RS would be interesting at 4 because gaining it with workshop actually seems somewhat tempting. I guess it wasn’t meant to be though :/
