In that first random kingdom, I missed that Courtyard has very good synergy with Crystal Ball, letting you topdeck things for Crystal Ball to hit, like Estates to trash or another Courtyard to play. In hindsight I would probably open Silver + Courtyard, but the overall strategy goals probably the same.
