I just recently found this channel. Im addicted and about to go hog wild on this hobby i havent touched in 13 years. I used to have alligator gar, peacock bass, and rays but this micro setup life seems like a fun thing to do with my daughter
I can't wait to get to a point in life where I have everything together like Dean. I don't know if I ever will though because I feel exhausted just thinking about what it might take to get there 🤣
Let's be real, I'm not sure how possible it is for the average younger person these days. I'm 30. A house that size in my area (very similar cost-of-living to Edmonds, WA) would cost about $1 million. To have enough space for that many tanks and have time for it WHILE working enough to pay for the darn house? That would never happen for me.
Yay! We got our Daily Dose of Dean™️! I would love a video explaining Dean’s methods for keeping track of timing in the fish room. Like which fish need to be moved, culled, etc. Does he keep a journal , or is he all high tech these days and has it all on his phone? 📱 Record keeping in my weak spot.
The tanks that Dean is wanting to create/recreate - They were called "Show Tanks". That's a great idea for tumblers and maybe it could be adapted for housing multiple shrimp hatcheries.

I use artwork as a background for my fish tanks ... 3 16x20 canvas fit perfectly across a 55 tank gallon... Good thing is it's interchangeable depending on your moods...
Its insane how much Gear Dean has, most of it pretty inexpensive. I hope i can reduce some trial and failure with my upcoming fishroom by watching how he does things. The waterchanging system is still so scary.
I am absolutely loving this video with Dean. I am just getting back into keeping a tank and have forgotten a lot, but I am learning from Dean so much of what I forgot. Thank you for the awesome video. As far as taking home a favorite fish from Dean I would love to buy some of the orange Angel Fish.
Great to see a professional working in his own environment!! I would love to breed koi’s and/or goldfish. I had huge specimens before but if they ever bred they must have gotten to the eggs way before I did - never saw any. But at that huge size they eat EVERYTHING in the tank and move plants around in an hour, I tried stones but they toppled them over and pulled out the plants from the pots (or what they are called. I guess the eggs needs more protection than I was able to provide. I love to breed animals so I try to breed every pet type I come across, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.

Those pencilfish were sold to me from an LGS as a Beckford's Pencilfish as well. They look amazing in my 20L
