Great video Dan, you are a great human being!! CONGRATULATIONS On being the #1 "Go To" Affiliate source for the Aquarium Coop!! You will be over 100K subs in No time....
The six corydoras eques that I got from you are doing great! Been happy with all my purchases from Dan’s Fish. The video on this channel explaining your policies on importing fish, your quarantining process, shipping to consumers, and how your pricing model works was helpful to me in making decisions to purchase from you. 👍
Really interesting and informational video. I like how you explained the reason for them being expensive. I’ve been thinking about buying a couple red lizard whiptails from you guys to add to my pair. You guys have the best prices I’ve been able to find on them. The wild type angels are super cool too.
eques corys certainly are beautiful. green and orange is just one of those perfect combos. thats why i love emerald tiger barbs, they have the added bonus of turning purple depending on how the light hits.
I'm thrilled about the Aquarium Co-Op partnership. I just had a horrible experience with AquaHuna after a wonderful experience with Dan's Fish, and I was just saying the other day that I expected better from Aquarium Co-Op. Faith restored.
I will buying some fish from you once I cycled my tank. I’m doing a Dry Start planted aquarium. Actually I’m doing two tanks soon. Thank you for sharing. I enjoy all your videos.
Thank you for the video! Do you think mountain grunters can be captive bred? I know coal grunters need hormones to breed but that might be because they are more aggressive to each other
They were eating Xtreme Monster Pellets. They love Xtreme foods. Here's a link where you can purchase lots of kinds of Xtreme: www.aquariumcoop.com/?sca_ref=4743868.UZQzQXiwnE&sca_source=YT
Dan the Man ! Hey from the South Carolina Coast. Love your vids and love your fish. Just recently purchased some great Angels from you. First time buyer and just subbed.
I love the coal grunter and my adults at around 30cms looked like the mountain grunters you just showed us and as juveniles, the coal grunters took some time to get there adult colours(around 5 to 6 inches)so i think you are correct about the species but coal grunters are found in southern central New Guinea mate,so i hope the sent you the right ones 😁👍
There are great captive bred spotted congo puffer in the EU. Check German and Czech suppliers Dan!! I'm in the UK and got my whole group as captive bred babies, from a GREAT UK pet shop. They came in at FAT adult pea puffer size, or about as large as you see the smallest fahaka come in. They were under $100 per fish and captive bred.
Keep in mind I think he has said in the past for his business model to be sustainable, he sells the fish a 4x his purchase price. So that could be one pricey puffer xD but I'm sure it would be worth it.
@@avengedglory that was my purchase price as a retail customer. I'm sure the shop we got them from has a similar model. They will have been £40 each or less wholesale.

Howdy Fish Lover. I might get into crayfish in the future, but the way I'm regulated by the WY Game & Fish Dept makes crayfish a bit difficult. There are invasive crayfish in the state, so they are understandably wary.
@@DansFish Aquarium Dietzenbach in Germany breeds Congo spotted puffers regularly. In the interests of sustainability? You made comments about humanely sourcing tetras from the Congo
Man I wish those corys were cheaper I want a group of 10, I breed gold laser corys, I feel like I need to breed those pantanalensis, can I trade you some of my gold laser for a group ???
@@DansFish ok you purchase my gold lasers and I'll purchase your pantanalensis lol but maybe I'll get some cause I'm thinking about breeding star sapphire's as well.
Okay, you're in Wyoming and you can't get Cowboy whiptails?! Well, you're forgiven because you're a long way north of Laramie. Still, what kind of right thinking person from Wyoming would ever consider anything other than a Cowboy? It would be simply unacceptable for you to have Rams, but not Cowboys. I don't think there are any fish called falcons, bulldogs, Lobos, Rebels, Aggies, or Spartans, so you're probably safe there. No Aztecs or Wolf Packs either. I guess it's okay to have German Blue Rams, but if the rams you're selling are wearing green and gold, you're going to be run out of the state. Just fair warning. I really shouldn't worry about it. My Alma Mater wasn't anywhere near there, and they had kind of a stupid name. They're called the Crimson. Not the Crimson Tide. That's a pretty famous and usually winning team. Our team was just simply the Crimson, and often got beat by Columbia University's team, which usually can't field a team unless they fill some spots with professors. There are some fish which are crimson, and aren't there one or two species which have Crimson in their name? All I can say is, "Poor things." They can't have a life if they want to graduate to another tank with a decent GPA. They'll also be in debt for the rest of their short lives. And no, my Alma Mater is not Alabama. My Alma Mater doesn't have anywhere near the athletic prestige that Alabama has. In fact, the Cowboys would probably whip us good. Like a Cowboy Whiptail! I might just have to buy a crimson fish and a cowboy whiptail just as an inside joke between you and I. I'll buy a tank and start cycling it, and by the time it's ready, there won't be any cowboy whiptails left at Dan's fish.
Those angels (koi & manacupuru) hardly worth 10$ each. They breed like crazy. If they were tank bred or wild Altum angels it'd be around that much. Also those pencils looks like they are all males.
They are tank bred fish and there's no problem with breeding them@@DansFish. Let's say 20$ if they have a good size. I don't live in USA but 50-60$ are too much for easy to breed angels.
This was fun! Maybe the next video can be the top ten bargain beauties at Dan's Fish?
Not a bad idea. I have a few other vids in the pipeline, but 10 bargain fish is not a bad idea at all.
I've gotta agree with you about wild type angels. That's what I'll get if I can eventually afford and find room for a tank big enough for them.
There all beautiful fish. But them mountain grunters are amazing.

Thanks my friend. Hope all is going well with you and yours.
Those Cory Equis look amazing! Might have to pick some of those up with the blue flames!
Blue on blue!
Thanks for sharing Dan! Your operation is the gold standard for online fish.
Just made my first order with you Dan. Excited to see the outcome. Looks like a great facility and a guy who loves his wet pets.
What did you order? How did everything turn out?

I did just notice that the Co-Op has removed AquaHuna from their website as a recommendation.
I need those red-back angels! ❤❤❤
Yes. Yes you do. And if you like those, just wait until they mature. The red gets much stronger with age.
I bought 3 Cory Equis and they are doing fantastic . Very beautiful fish ! Tempted to get two more !

Takes a special kind of person to love a mountain grunter... im that kind if person
Do those two red pencil fish which look like spawning salmon come with miniature bears standing in the middle of the aquarium trying to catch them?
Cheers from my fish room channel in Chicago! Love your store and channel. Delighted to like and subscribe.
Thank you for the video! Do you think mountain grunters can be captive bred? I know coal grunters need hormones to breed but that might be because they are more aggressive to each other
I'm sure they can be bred in aquariums. We've just got to figure out the natural triggers and duplicate them.
great tour, what pellets are you feeding the corys

i had 7 congo puffers loved them there like little fairys the way their fins move
Hi Dan, just curious do you see yourself importing murray crayfish, or blue marrons?
Thanks for your time :)
Howdy Fish Lover. I might get into crayfish in the future, but the way I'm regulated by the WY Game & Fish Dept makes crayfish a bit difficult. There are invasive crayfish in the state, so they are understandably wary.
Can you find captive bread? Congo puffers?
There is a breeder I sometimes purchase them from, but they only produce them sporadically. I don't know of any continuous breeding operation.

wow here in brasil a TRIO of corydoras pantanalensis is the equivalent of 24 dollars lol
Very interesting
Angels are so beautiful
Are the pencil fish being bred here yet?
There are some hobbyists breeding them, but no one is breeding them in quantity.
You have only males cenepa and amaya!
Yep. I've requested females, but they are few and far between.
Were the Fantastiques exported out of Africa or were they captive bred?
They came from our last Congo import.
Let’s see some Rainbows
