For the most part, yes. Personally, I struggle with water changes and can't set up an auto-change system because of my ridiculously high pH. Setting up an R.O. system is out of the question because of that. I try compensating by raising hardy fish and growing GOBS of plants. This will do until I perfect my rainwater filtration setup. Alternately, I'm looking into aquaponics as a means of providing a constant source of high quality water, because the results of regular water changes really does speak for itself, especially when you see how healthy his fish are. I've only seen a couple setups where zero water changes happened - but the tanks were so LUSH with healthy plants it almost made you sick to look at all the green. Plus the fish load was very light. In the end I think consistency is more important than frequency. I've shocked a tank in the past by suddenly doing multiple weekly heavy water changes.

I’m also in OH and I don’t know your exact location but there is gerbers in Dayton and there is a really cool store that also has cool stuff is a little place in Fairborn uh what’s it called hold on lemme look. Aquatics galore. That’s the two places I love shopping for local fish and other stuff. Of course aquarium coop I order from as well you can’t beat their prices but sometimes I need it that same day. Anyway check em out if your around.

He could hire an editor. Why do an amateurish job with the platform when you can hire an expert? The editor takes the presentation off his plate. Dean could focus on the main thing: the information/content.

Deas is the best. I wish i could become a member on your chanel one day. Im from Argentina and its dificult to do, in like 2 simple steps. I have learn a lot from you both, and I have my own acuarium. Some times it's dificult to do, but it's fun, and everytime i have a new fish in my hands it's all worth it. Love to see you guys. I generally change water according to Nitrate levels, but , if it's been a while ( 2 weeks or a bit more) I do 20% to 40% just because I think my fish and plants appreciate the 'freshness ' - call me crazy, but they appear perkier after. Almost like they're smiling 😎 Thank Cory, Dean, and Jimmy💕👍

Thanks for the video, it was great. I know that you don't control the ads but I wanted to let you know that one of the ads that played for me was loaded with curse words. I believe the ad was for Go For Broke (no idea what it actually is) and they were just driving around a beat up old car and taking it off jumps. I by no means am offended by the language and certainly know that the co op has nothing to do with it but felt that I should mention it to you so that you could mentionit to TH-cam. The advertisements have nothing to do with the creator. For some reason, the TH-cam algorithm for ads must have thought that you were the target audience for that ad. You can give feedback on ads and even let TH-cam know that you no longer wish to see a particular advertisement.

I'm wondering if you guys would be able to suggest a fish for me. I have been wanting to do an Asian stylish fantasy aquascape with a little house and some bonsai looking trees or even bamboo. The fish has to look sorta like a dragon. I just want a flying dragon in my tank. I really like the look of bichirs but it seems like they're more of a bottom dweller, same for dragon goby, looks like ropefish too. I just saw pipefish for the first time on this channel. I was kinda ok with the knifefish even. I'm really looking for something like the bichirs or dragon goby that maybe swim more aggressively or at least in the water column. Any suggestions?
