Wow I’m embarrassed to say how much we’ve paid for some of these. We need to shop where you guys are at!!!
I believe MRSP on Stagg Jr is around $50 if you can find it, lol. Not to be correcting you 2 or anything. Just thought I would give food for thought. My local grocery store can only sale at MSRP and the last 3 I picked up were around $45-$50 before tax. Cheers!!!
I find EH taylor Small Batch for$80. Blantons for$65. Eagle Rare for $41. Stagg for$49. It's not always on the shelf, but when it is, that's what I pay.
EHTaylor small batch is $150 and Single Barrel is 200 here. I won't pay that. I'd pay $100 for either. But never more. It's very hard to find here in N FL.
Small batch is $129-139 and Single is $200+ unless you have connections out here - or can get lucky on a Spec's or Total Wine delivery here in DFW. Luckily i have a good friend who hunts for himself and me on his days off and has contacts where i can get either or for $80-90
And the most I would pay for a new corvette is $45,000. But the chances of me finding that deal is slim to none.
I paid 25 for my special reserve. I won’t be buying another. I’m with you guys 💯
I think what also has to be considered is if someone has never tried them before, because then you would pay more. For example, I never tried Elmer T Lee, so I would pay 90-100$, and if I see it on the shelf again, I would look to pay closer to msrp if the juice is decent.
I paid 120 for the Blanton's. They had the gamut of BT, all way too high, but I've never seen them before. So I just grabbed one
Buffalo trace-$0
Weller sr-$0
Hancocks-never even seen one
Elmer t lee-$25
Blantons-$60 to gift or trade for something better
Sazerac rye-$0
Weller 107-$60
Weller 12-$0
Weller fp-never seen one
Taylor small batch-$50
Eagle rare-$35
Taylor single barrel-$50
Stagg jr-$80
Benchmark full proof smokes most of these
Thanks so much for sharing! I love the benchmark full proof. It’s fantastic!
Great Video! Id Pay:
Weller SR-nothing, pay me to drink it lol
Elmer-60
Blantons-MSRP 59...dont like it
Baby Saz-10 bucks lol
Weller 107- 100
Weller 12- 80
EHT Small- 70 (one of my fav pours)
EHT SIngle- 100
ER- 45
Stagg- 125
Thanks!! Love your list! 🥃😊
in the area of Georgia just north of Atlanta, Buffalo Trace is available, around $34, which I will pay. Weller Special Reserve is allocated and the last one I saw was $80, which I won't pay. Eagle Rare is fairly readily available at about $44, which I will pay. Taylor Small Batch is starting to appear, but its allocated and they want $100 for it, which I won't pay. The rest you can't find for love or bad money ... at this point, I'm fine with that. There's so many really good pours out there that I'm not missing anything.
Eagle rare is readily available!? I’m in Kansas and need to make a trip thata way!!!
Cheapest I have seen in NYC
B T - $36
Elmer t Lee - $299
Blantons - $149
Sazerac - $35
107 - $199
Weller 12 - $199
Weller full - $269
Taylor SB - $119
Eagle Rare - $60
Stagg JR - $350
I just paid 79 (previously 67) for Blanton's. Same store charges me 45 for ER, 30 for BT and 85 for the Stagg. ETL was 60, Weller SR was 30. All other Weller's and Taylor's were similar to what you stated. I did pay 130 for an ORVW, but others in the area want 799-999........
I just paid $250 for Blanton's Gold and I have zero regrets. Also, why is it ALL the TH-cam folks only pay the lowest prices around but have 'hundreds' of bottles?
They usually dont. They pay high to review them, but if it wasnt for reviews they usually wouldnt. Also if youre buying bottles that often, youre more likely to get rare stuff from stores. Ive had most of these. Wouldnt buy another of many. Personally i think 250 for just about any bourbon let alone blantons gold is absurd, but as long as youre happy with it thats all that matters
We hunt for our whiskey all the time. We don’t really care for the Weller line much and if we see them, we usually pass on most and leave them for other people.
I have 18 bottles of Buffalo Trace stashed that I paid $27 each. I have 5 bottles of Weller SR that I paid $29 each. Not buying any more of these 2. I have 6 bottles of Eagle Rare ($35) and 6 bottles of EH Taylor small batch ($50). Not sure if I need any more of these? I only have 3 bottles of EH Taylor Single Barrel ($70), so I will pick more up if I find. I have 2 Stagg Juniors and will always look for them at MSRP. I have 1 bottle of Weller Antique 107, Weller Full Proof and Weller 12 Year. I will always look for these at MSRP. 🥃
I’d pay 120 for Stagg for sure.
Love the list, would not pay more than retail for standard buffalo trace products. Not worth the price. The available whiskey is just as good or better!
Agreed..Keep them prices down ..The only people that overpay are those who don’t open the bottles..
MSRP only with the exception of Weller 12 because I have never had a dram of it yet. Probably pay $100 for Weller 12.
I'll list the going prices in my area: BT $40, Weller SR $50, Hancock's Reserve (never seen one listed on a raffle), Elmer T Lee $50, Blanton's $80, Sazerac $35, Weller Antique 107 (never seen one listed), Weller 12 (never seen one listed), Weller FP (never seen one listed), EHT Small Batch $58, Eagle Rare 10 $45, EHT Single Barrel (never seen one listed) and Stagg Barrel Proof $60.
Gotta pay to play even at the grocery store raffles 🤷♂
I really wish those were the prices in my area. Yesterday I went to a store that wanted $700 for Weller 12, $300 for EH Small Batch, & almost $600 for EH Single Barrel
What I would pay is less than msrp on half of these so I guess I won’t be buying most of these again! The only one I haven’t owned is a handcocks and it sounds like I’m not missing out.
Cool video topic! What other wheaters would you rather have over Weller Antique 107?
Thank you! Well, we’re not big fans of wheated bourbons. But that’s a great video idea. Honestly, I’d take the Makers Mark BEP! It’s 110 or so proof so just a smidge more than the 107. It’s fantastic
Just got a bottle of stagg for $70, cheapest I’ve ever seen.
Sazerac Rye is horrible
Yea in california you will never find anything close to the prices id pay $50 over everything's you guys mentioned.
Your prices are absolutely comical. I'm new to the channel, so I don't know where you're from, but shopping in PA (state run stores), NJ, DE, MD and VA, this is what I see: Buffalo $30 in PA, $80 in NJ; Antique 107 I've seen twice, just turned it down for $140; snagged a Stagg for $100 in NJ; EHT Small $150; Blanton's $150-$200; Eagle Rare $110. There's a place in NJ that is one of the very few places I even see these bottles, but their Full Proof is $400, the 12 is $400, and so on. So, good on you guys for being able to score these things so cheap whereas I'm actually kicking around the idea of spending $150 for an EHT Small Batch.
Blantons In Greensboro NC is $74.87 thats with Tax Eagle Rare 10 $48.26 thats with tax Buffalo Trace is $32.28 thats with tax Sazerac - $35 thats with Tax Weller whats Weller we never see any of that now key is finding them . LOL
I'd pay whatever it takes for the BT stuff, especially Wellers!!
🤣🤣I sense no sarcasm here at all for the Wellerz
I really like this episode. yes the average drinker doesn’t want to pay 3x MSRP for buffalo trace products. hey secondary, put that in your pipe and smoke it. thanks dara and bill
Haha thanks for watching! Cheers!
You’d never see these prices anywhere sadly
I wouldn't know how much I would pay for Elmer because I've never found one.. EH Taylor Small Batch is one of my favorites, so 65-70 is about right for me
BT - 20
WSR - 14
Hancock’s Reserve - 28
Elmer T Lee - 45
Blanton’s - 40
Saz Rye - 15
107 - 50
Weller 12 - 60
Weller FP - 80
EHT SmB - 75
ER - 40
EHT SiB - 85
Stagg Jr -120
Weller is Not my favorite if you can’t tell. And don’t get me started on how basic Buffalo Trace is.
Thanks for sharing! Cheers!
It might be time for a new intro! 😅 “I’m Dara, and I’m Bill, and we’re your average drinkers!”
I’d love to find an elmer t Lee on any shelf period
Wow. Where are you guys located? Prices are much higher here in Paducah, KY. Nearly twice what you guys would pay. Jealous
I paid $199 for my Stagg Jr
The thing is, you are listing prices that you'll rarely/never ever see on this stuff. Are you saying you'd pass on ER for $45 or $50? Would you pass on EH small batch for $70-$75.
Nearly everyone would LOVE to grab Stagg Jr (now just Stagg) at $120.
Hancocks Store Picks, are fantastic! Rare, but fantastic!
I’ve never seen one!
I don’t know, Stagg jr I’m way over you guys. How else would I ever get one?
Sounds like ya over paid then 🤔😆
My number was under. I think ecbp in general is better
I think your prices are right but also being in Colo never see this at those prices
elmer for 70...where anytime i ever see it they want 2-300
Interesting video. A store here in the UK has had a drop of BT. WFP-£250, W107 £175 and W12 150, they were gone instantly (no doubt on an auction site soon where people pay triple these amounts). Shame, 1st time I'd seen these on sale in the UK, and I wouldn't have paid these amounts. I did pick up a magnum of BT for £70 and a bottle of kosher wheat and rye each at £40. Given the UK bourbon market, I found these prices to be reasonable (all UK prices include a huge 20% sales tax).
Opinions are like assholes: everybody has one and it usually stinks! 😉😄 I agree on Stagg...I'd pay double as well!
I got $5
What state do you live in?
Colorado
I call BS. 🤣
You'd pay no more then 50 for ETL but You'd pay 90 for OWA. You don't know bourbon
It’s my channel and my opinion. You can disagree with my opinion but you don’t have to be rude. Every palate is different. I like what I like, you like what you like. Cheers!
Well yeah owa is significantly better than elmer t lee. You dont know bourbon. Its almost like opinions exist.
