Oh my goodness! Your home is not nearly as bad as you make it out to be! Give yourself some grace. Your kids are home all day, you’re home all day and stuff happens that takes priority over cleaning. You did a great job in finding stuff that wasn’t being used. It’s the best time to declutter as you know what has NOT been touched. I give you credit and appreciate you sharing about mental health struggles. I wish more people shared because it is NORMAL to struggle. NORMAL to have kids make messes. NORMAL for life to get messy. You are a brave woman and I give you credit for sharing on social media.
I think you have done a great job. Progress over perfection. Many of us deal with depression. Thanks for being real.. We all can relate. Be proud of yourself. Most people when decluttering do many rounds. It takes time.
The minimal mom, who is awesome, says if you’re still overwhelmed in your home, you just keep reducing inventory until you get to where you can easily manage everything. You did a great first pass through your home, just keep going!
Social worker of 15yrs here. Mental health wellness isn't a 0 or 100. There's so much space to recognize progress in between. So yes, it might be "trashed" in your eyes. But it can't possibly be as "trashed" as it was before you worked your butt off and got rid of dozens of boxes & bags of stuff. You should be so very very proud of yourself! You're doing great!
I’m old enough to be your mother. All my littles are long gone. But I feel like I’ve found a friend. I have struggled with depression for years but with the help of a good psychiatrist I’m more than able to cope. My daughter is helping me declutter my very messy home. Hang in there. Give yourself grace. God surely does!!! God bless you!,
I’m sorry you struggle with your mental health. I know how hard that can be especially as a mom trying to raise happy kids. I’m watching this several years later and I hope you’re doing better now. Hugs.❤
I love how honest you are! I had no idea you suffered from depression. Mental health stigma needs to be removed and we need to talk about how life isn't always perfect.
You have NOT failed! You've done absolutely amazing on decluttering! It's a process and a journey and you're still living in your house! Nothing stays instagram worthy for long if you have to actually live your life there! Since your whole family is still learning how to declutter, it is absolutely normal that it won't look spotless every single day. But as far as I am concerned the "messes" are very small ones that are quickly cleaned up and that will grow smaller and smaller as you all get into the cleaning and decluttering habit. Don't be so hard on yourself, be proud of what you've achieved!
Girl, I’m sending you some hugs. I can relate all too well with how you feel. Instead of comparing the “after” to the current status compare the “before” decluttering to the current status. You’ve accomplished more than you give yourself credit for. Xo
This was not a failure at all. You should be proud of what you've done. We have been there and go there more often than we'd like to admit. Just keep up the good work, lady. 🙂❤
I challenge you to a new series about a second pass through the whole house. You could even incorporate that into the challenge. One box-per room. You could be the judge of box size. It is the biggest boost to my mental health. Decluttering has changed my life.
I agree! I think you should keep going room by room and build that decluttering muscle and then go back and do a round 2 for everything. I’m always surprised by how much I get rid of during round 2 or 3. It’s like the stuff looses its value over time and make it’s easier the more I re-evaluate that room.
I agree. I suffer from depression but it comes in waves and on a good day I can be really motivated to get rid of stuff. She really has a lot of stuff. Getting rid would help her in so many ways.
@@gardeninginthedesert It is so healing to our systems. Janet, (in the kindest, gentlest way) this is Shannon’s safe space. We are all on journeys and I for one am glad our friend has the courage to share her experiences with us as it helps us all greatly. The amount of stuff someone has is all relative, depending on where we live, who lives with us, our culture, our values, etc. One thing that’s helped us from the time our kids were toddling babies was gently asking people “please, no gifts.” The amount of things we acquire from others can be a whole house of stuff within itself. Personally, I love gift giving, especially with littles and a certain holiday we celebrate. When I look around I see mostly things we’ve purchased for our kids; we have no one to blame but ourselves. 😂 Oh and another thing is keeping a running list of practical things our kids need/ or would like, that way they can give a gift that really helps.
I think you did a great job. Kitchen is always a challenge and teaching the kids to clean up after themselves is an ongoing process. Don't be so hard on yourself.
I deal with depression and anxiety too!!! Thank you for being real.....This was actually inspiring to me. So many TH-camrs can be fake......You are very real and genuine. Thank you Shannon....We will get through this.
Oh Shannon! Don’t be so hard on yourself. We are all human and from the video your home just needs a little work and everything will be back to being tidy again. You’re doing amazing. One baby step at a time 💐🇬🇧
Give yourself grace. You have not failed at anything. Your priority is your family. A home will always be a work in progress. We all put in a ton of effort on cleaning and decluttering and then we live our lives and things get out of order again. Things don’t stay perfect when we live our lives and use our things. My favorite mantras are...give yourself grace and progress over perfection. You are a wonderful mother and wife and that is what matters. You are awesome and I love your videos. Hugs and love.
Think of decluttering like peeling an onion, there are many layers and you will peel a layer at a time. Remember with children there is constantly things being brought into your home and things constantly going out as they outgrow them, you just need to keep going. Flex those decluttering muscles daily. As Diane in Denmark says even a paperclip going out is something going out of your house. Really enjoy your channel xxxx
Thank you for having a channel that is honest and real. There are so many "declutter" channels that are so faked to look perfect all the time and doesn't show reality. You are a breath of fresh air!
My mom struggled with depression when I was a child. I do know what going into survival mode means for a family... Today, though, I am a grateful daughter who tries to help mom and dad as much as I can. Your efforts -yours and his - will be acknowledged and thanked for once your kids grow up. Do not give up. Be very proud of yourself. Hugs and blessings going your way.
This is exactly why people in the old days were not as stressed and depressed....they didnt have all the stuff that we all do in this time. Ive taken my house down to the necessities and its saved my mental status ememsly.❤
Two things. 1. I am super impressed with your home. I have had three battles with depression and my home was a disaster in those times. 2. Thank you for being honest and showing what real life looks like. I think people get caught up in the perfection that people post but honestly nobody is perfect. I love that you just let real life show.
I'm a young adult suffering with depression for several years now, I just have to take care of myself and my dog, and ngl some days it's hard to even get out of bed to walk my doggo or feed both of us (often end up giving food only to my dog), so i feel you and i'm very very proud you manage to take care of a whole family We got this, even if there are some relapses, we're strong and we'll get through them !
I am glad you are not allowing yourself to be dragged down deeper. Progress, not perfection should be our focus (especially if we are not naturally a cleanie). Give yourself grace and just decide that for 5 minutes you will do "x" today. That is all you can give at this moment besides the basics of being a mom. So, for 5 minutes I will pick up any trash I see in the schoolroom. Or, for 5 minutes I am going to pick up any books on the floor and put them where they belong. I thank you for your honesty and openness and even in the slight back-slide you are giving me encouragement.
Old habits die hard, Friend! Kids don’t always have the energy to keep up their spaces for longer than a few days. It will get easier as you maintain. Hugs!
Hang in there, girl. Depression stinks. You have to be good to yourself. You didn’t have any really horrible messes, just daily life happening in a busy family with kiddos. You’ll be able to reset those rooms easily. Hope you feel better!
Decluttering & organizing is ongoing! You are doing an awesome job so don't beat yourself up. Sending hugs & understanding when depression clouds your day - the sun will shine again!
Absolutely LOVE this video for many many reasons! Love your vulnerability, transparency and keeping everything in perspective. I can tooootally relate to the depression struggle- it’s very real and no fun! So wish we could snap our fingers or flip a switch. You’re doing GREAT though and encouraging sooo many on your journey. Thanks for making me laugh, smile and know I’m not alone! You brought joy to my day, thank you!
Natalie Bennett likes to talk about the reality of re-decluttering. It's a real need + it's definitely a process. You are doing well! That must be so discouraging + frustrating, but as you can see from the comments here, we feel your pain + are rooting for you!
Shannon, I thought it would be worse after your introduction. Take 2 ! Go for it girl! You‘ve done great so far. I am with you. I am on my (at least) 5th round of decluttering in 14 months. Stay strong and healthy 🙋🏼♀️👍🏻👋🏼
I have a tiny apartment. I am a minimalist. There are no children living with me... just me, the wife, a dog and a cat. Still, depression prevents me from staying on top of things as I feel I should, and in turn, the messes and put off maintenance cleaning chores and projects actually trigger and intensify the depression. You are doing an amazing job. ❤️❤️❤️❤️... Don't ever forget to teach your children self forgiveness through example.
I have suffered from bouts of depression for years and can really hear myself in your dialog. You are being proactive with doctors, but check to see if your insurance will cover counseling. Talking to the right for you therapist will make a big difference. Remember, your self care will affect your entire family so this is not a fail on your part. Also, there is a you tube channel called Cleaning Therapy, with content from Jenny who also addresses depression and anxiety, that might encourage you; and Diane in Denmark is a channel by a life coach who is open, practical, and overwhelmingly supportive. Never, never ever give up on yourself in this journey. Many blessings on you, we are rooting for you!
You are great! Remember that. Keep pushing on with decluttering. It’s like peeling layers of onions. Go a little deeper each time. The reward will be less to manage. You’re super! 😘
There are several channels that address cleaning with anxiety and depression that I watch. Mighty Mama and Cleaning Therapy are great ones. I think as moms we are so hard on ourselves and we all need to work on positive talk and affirmations! Your house just looks like it is lived in and has kids happily playing. Hang in there! You have done a great job with all your decluttering!
I just started to get into the @Cleaning Therapy channel. She is quickly rising to one of my favorites to watch. Not sure I have seen any of Mighty Mamas videos. I’ll have to look her up.
At least your husband puts them in the cabinet!! I call that a win 😂!! I honestly feel your pain and find motivation in your videos. Thank you and keep up your spirits and good work.
Don’t be so hard on yourself because your only one person. Maybe before everyone goes to bed you do a quick 15-20 minute pick up in the toy room and homeschool room. Hope you can get answers for your depression. Take one day at a time. Love your videos!!
I had 4 boys and SO many times I thought the ideal tool for housekeeping would be a rake and a big garbage can! I can't even imaging adding Home schooling to that! You're doing great!
I never write anything. But I must say, I think you have done so very well! You should be very proud of yourself and family. This all takes time and time to learn how to keep it up. I too suffer from depression and find getting out of bed very hard some days. Sometimes crying in the shower helps. Sometimes a walk in the sun helps. Sometimes just a hug helps. Try to remember you are not alone. We are here too. I care about you and I have been enjoying your channel. Erica Lucus dropped your name and she is great. So had to come over a watch. I pray that you are feeling better today.
Jessie Anell You can do it!!! Decluttering is like an onion. Layer after layer. I have been decluttering for 2 years and am still going. Keep putting one foot in front of the other. You are doing amazing! ❤️
Shannon, I didn't consider the check-ins a fail at all! Frankly, I thought it looked incredible, considering you live with four other humans!! You're doing super great. (And bless your hubs for all his help and support while you battle that evil monster called depression, instead of heaping on the guilt . . . those of us with depression know there's already plenty of that! 🤦♀️ He's definitely a keeper!)
I always enjoy watching your videos. This is just the season of life your in. As the kids get old the messes will be fewer. Don’t be so hard on yourself!😀
You have done an AMAZING job and are continuing to make great progress! I have those days were I’m so overwhelmed and just want to curl up in bed but am forced to get up to take care of my kids. Those day when I just can’t move past my mental struggles are the days my house gets TRASHED! House work, mom life, wife life and homeschooling all take so much from a momma! Keep your head up! Your doing a great job!
I'm new to the channel, but you sharing about your struggle with depression and keeping up the house really resonates with me. It's so hard. Thanks for being honest and genuine. I really enjoy your videos.
Decluttering is an on going process (I have been doing it for fifteen years) it never ends. I don’t have kids but I do have nieces and nephews so don’t blame yourself for the kids mess. I do have scleroderma, fibromyalgia and rhmetoid arthritis so there are days that things looks a total disaster, but I have learned that I just have to do what I can when I can. Don’t be so hard on yourself, you are doing a great job. Love and blessings to you.
The kids absolutely need regular routine chores especially need clean there rm & pick up after themselves" 15 minute clean up before each meal & before tv / electronics/ friends , teaches them so much !!!! -so having less way less is much easier for them to manage, same for the parents, less to manage so can take care of yourself & to not have that stress. Take care😊🇨🇦
I think you've done a really good job keeping up with things. It was brave of you to be honest with your struggles, I always have waves of depression and anxiety so I can relate.
You are not alone. I also struggle with depression and anxiety. I buy my kids to many toys because I feel guilty that they are stuck with me, which in turn adds to the clutter. We sometimes do a pickup party. Blast some upbeat music, turn on the party light and clean as fast as you can for 15 minutes. Everyone joins in. Then we sit down and watch a movie or show and have a treat for a job well done. Bedtime after and then you can wake up to a clean home.
Be proud of your everyday accomplishments sweet lady. I too have suffered with the deep pit of depression. I sought professional help, attended an 8 week outpatient program and was treated with many meds. I pray I never visit that place (depression) again. It was HELL. I will be praying for you and your family. Keep looking up.
Fab video. Sorry to see you so down, but love seeing someone else like that, so relatable. Felt like I was watching me. Slob comes clean, does a 5 min pick up with family each day. I think you would really notice a difference for yourself doing that.
You did a good job, don't beat yourself up about it. Decluttering is never a one and done job. You've found some areas that worked out and that's awesome. The areas that you aren't happy with may need more work, but that's not a fail, just a challenge for another time. Nothing in our lives is perfect, so we shouldn't feel our homes need to be either. Staying positive is the real win.
Depression is a real thing and what I hate is it comes so quietly...your never ready! BUT I LOVED THAT YOU RECOGNISE IF YOU HADN’T ALREADY DONE THAT FIRST DECLUTTER IT WOULD OF BEEN AWFUL REVISITED THSES SPACES !👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️ i came across this quote through a sermon : I might not be where I want to be but I thank God I’m not where I used to be 🙏🏻💕 🙋🏻♀️🇬🇧💕jane
Don’t quit your journey. Hopefully, your depression will be helped with you pursuing the avenues you are impressed to seek. Lastly, purging takes several trips through to get it manageable. I try to do one go through each season throughout my house. You’ve climbed the mountain of clutter. We are proud of you!!
Thank you for sharing your real life with us. I have thyroid issues and when my children were little all my energy went into work and taking care of them so, I completely understand. It is so helpful for others to see they’re not alone in struggling to deal with housekeeping issues.
I have been exactly were you are a year ago. I struggle with health issues and I will be out of commission for a week each month. Have a 5 yr and 18 month old. I will say the more I decluttered the less time it took to get my house back to clean after an episode. And it was easier for my husband to maintain doing those episodes. Your rooms were not actually as bad as I was expecting. Don't be too hard on yourself, you are doing an amazing job. I just starting implementing the fly lady system too and I'm really enjoying it. Keep up the amazing work😃
I agreed with one lady about having another series after this one of having a round 2 for each room. Definitely look at your sentimental before round 2. But I have found that re-evaluating your things round 2 and 3 makes it easier to keep or get rid of and decide what still has value to you and your family. But one thing at a time. Don’t worry about round 2 until round 1 is done. You got this!!
You can give your kids some chores as well, since they are big enough to do some things. For example, they can trash the homeschoolroom or playroom while they are playing or learning, but once they are done, it is their task to clean their mess up. This teaches them some responsibility, and it will help You maintain everything. One they see how hard it is to clean something on a day to day basis they will be more mindfull about messes they make. This will take time and energy to become their routine, but it was always my job to tidy my bed, clean my toys and put my clothes into the basket of dirty clothes. You don't have to give them tasks they clearly can't do because of their age but start implementing some chores and responsibility in their everyday life, and this will also teach them how some things are done, so that they know how to deal with things when they move out one day.
I have been decluttering for over a year...nowhere near totally done. Some weeks nothing goes out and other weeks I can fill up the back of my SUV with donations. You are doing a great job! It gets easier the more you flex that decluttering muscle 💪🏻
I too suffer from chronic depression so I can empathize you being hard on yourself for supposed failures in keeping your house perfect and maintaining the declutter and the organization you already did. Please remember that Decluttering and Organizing is not A One and Done project It's a journey not a destination You have growing kids and life changes day by day. So you will be doing the decluttering of toys and kids clothes they grow out of...till they grow up into adults. Involve the kids in the process each time and make chore lists for each room that they can do It helps them be part of the process and teaches them life long skills for cleaning and organizing and taking care of a home and their things **Hugs**
I feel your house is normal! You are right, it’s not going to be perfect, the kids are so young and are still learning too. Don’t be so hard on yourself 💕.
Print a large poster size photo of each finished room behind each door so that everyone can remember where everything goes and how the room should look - everything in it's place and a place for everything
I definitely agree! A place for everything and everything in its place. Shannon, get your whole family involved with this mantra.I’m sure they are , just follow up. You did quite well!!
I was expecting something horrible! You’re being so hard on yourself, the rooms look pretty good for having three young kids. So proud of you for this video. Negative thoughts and depression episodes are very hard to battle for me too, and cleaning has felt so hard, so this video was so relatable to me. I’ve been putting off starting a cleaning channel and this gave me motivation to possibly start tomorrow and do ANOTHER round of decluttering this week😂
I’ve been following your journey. You have so much to be proud of. You have accomplished so much. I also am diagnosed with depression and anxiety, was a single working mom and then raised a grandson with acute adhd and acute odd. One of the things my doctors recommended, besides medication was talk therapy. I went to a psychologist. It was probably one of the best things I did for myself. Good luck, you are so blessed with a supportive husband. You can accomplish anything, rest when you need to and smile even when you don’t feel like it. Hand out a chore list and a weekly reward for whoever does the best job….. that makes it an incentive to follow through. Something just for the winner, ….. maybe a one on one trip to the ice cream shop or movie with mom or dad. God bless you. Keep making those videos.
Maybe youve already reached this point before youtube maybe your slightly feeling it now but at some point youll plateau and then a rage purge will like implode and give you fire of a thousand suns energy where your emotions will just cut off and youll be pure logic and clarity and be able to just BAMF through the place and shoving things into the bin and to donate and not um and ah or second guess yourself. Being on a rage purge warpath is truly magical 😂💖 helped me push through the plateau and get back into the more refining decluttering and more final stages of it like organising and getting better quality things buying all white towels etc 😂💖
You are doing such amazing work! I am so glad that you are taking time to care for yourself. I struggle with depression and I find that if I am not eating well, going on a walk outside with my coffee alone each morning, connect with friends and making some art (I am artsy like you) very regularly, I get really down which can trigger depression. And sometimes it just happens even if i am in balance, it is what it is. Sending you love, your laughter is wonderful and your wisdom. Thank you for sharing your ups and downs. I enjoy your channel so much and think you are on a wonderful path with your home and family. 🥰
Please dont judge yourself and be kind compassion for yourself espcially this global pandemic time. We are all togheter. I started to this decluttering and minimalism journey 4 years ago. I forgot how much round I made. For now you did an amazing job. Relax and take some time. When you will be ready start again we r here with you 🥰
So thankful I found your channel. I have been stuck and overwhelmed trying to figure out how to organize my craft room and make it a place that is peaceful and inviting, to me, instead of overwhelming, disorganized and confusing. I've watched a million craft room tour videos, hoping that would help. It hasn't. At all. It wasn't until I found your channel that I actually got started. Everyone shows the "after" picture. Your channel is the first one I found that is honest enough to show the "before" - the stage where I am. I just can't thank you enough. Your honesty has been a great help to me. Thank you so much!!
Girl, your house still looks amazing! Keep that great attitude (even when its extra tough) it gets easier every time you go through things. It gets easier to say goodbye to items and others easier and easier to keep it picked up. Its a lifestyle change that takes time. Keep it up! I love watching you and love that you show real life. Life isn't Pinterest perfect, we shouldnt have to pretend that it is!!!!
I dont believe in failures when youve at least tried! And you my dear have gone way beyond that❤ you are so very hard on yourself....i totally get the depression issue! You are right ...the body reacts to what you do to your body! I have fibromyalgia and deal with this consistently daily! ....my goal is to one thing daily....that gives me the most success❤
Oh darling my heart goes out to you, you are not alone, I suffer from depression on and off too due to my thyroid condition. You are doing amazing for what you have been able to do despite your depression. Think about what you have done not what you didn’t do.. FYI vitamin D is key is vital with depression I take 5000iu daily and I try to get sunshine everyday. 👍💜👍💜👍💜👍💜👍💜
I also suffer from depression and still see a doctor regularly. What I have found that really helps me is exercising. I found that one the routine of waking up (I'm better at waking up early) and taking at least 1 hour to myself to work out really helps my mental state. I started out very slow working out for 15 minutes at a time. But always waking up at the same time no matter what. Gradually I have worked up to being able to exercise for 1 hour daily. And have managed to lose 28lbs in the process. I also spend a lot of time outside in the sunlight. Which also helps my mood.
Proud of you . If you have less you fell less stres i think . I think you shouldnt keep empty storage bins . It will fill up at the end . Maybe you can make a program which is kids are included they can help you . For example mondays grace wipe down the table after dinner
Above all remember that you and your family still have to live in the house. Things do not have to be Pinterest worthy. I think you have done am awesome job!
Don't be disheartened, you are managing a whole household with 3 young children. You did such a great job decluttering, that was a huge lot of stuff gone. It won't take long for a maintenance tidy. Took me heaps of tries to declutter, fwiw ...
None of those rooms are terrible... you have three kiddos. Your house is lived and and expected when there are 3 kids in the house. Dont get down on yourself. Just look at the progress and keep going.
Be kind to yourself. You and your family made huge strides. I would love to see once you do the garage you taking another pass through the whole house. I bet you will find, just like your craft closet, you held on to a ton of things you weren't ready to let go of yet, but now are.
I just happened to come across your video. I just want you to know that as I watch this (I am 63) it affirms to me that you are normal and you have a normal family. You are amazing and perfect just how you are!! People that are spotlessly clean are boring, uptight, and not fun at all. Can you imagine growing up in a house where you had to be perfectly clean? I didn’t even know what that was! I think you are doing amazing! I actually became disabled 8 years ago and I cannot do anything now. I would give anything to be able to clean like you do! Enjoy your health, enjoy your precious little family. It won’t always be so hard and you will really miss this time in your life. Some things are way more important than a perfectly clean and organized house.
Your real life messes and emotions are so incredibly beautiful. I am sorry that it hurts sometimes. You are loved and we are grateful for you.
Me too on everything thing you said isn’t she the sweetest. 💜
I’m sorry you struggle with your mental health. I know how hard that can be especially as a mom trying to raise happy kids. I’m watching this several years later and I hope you’re doing better now. Hugs.❤
I like that half-way thru you seem to start finding joy in the successes you have rather than focusing on the negatives.
I love how honest you are! I had no idea you suffered from depression. Mental health stigma needs to be removed and we need to talk about how life isn't always perfect.
Hang-in-there Shannon! We all love you!!
Thank you so much for this! I needed to hear it.
Proud of you 😄. Remember your not alone. Depression is a very real condition. Prayers with you 🙏
Girl, I’m sending you some hugs.

I think you did a great job. Kitchen is always a challenge and teaching the kids to clean up after themselves is an ongoing process. Don't be so hard on yourself.
Check out Dawn from the Minimal Mom and Dana K. White. Less inventory to manage is definitely key! You’ve got this!
Shannon, this is a JUDGEMENT FREE place! I also suffer from depression but we are all here to better each other! Noooo worries!!!!!
Do not be too hard on yourself. It gets easier as they get older. You are doing an amazing job. Keep up the great work.
Shannon, you are an amazing mom and wife. I feel your pain struggling with depression. Give yourself grace and keep going forward every day.
I'm a young adult suffering with depression for several years now, I just have to take care of myself and my dog, and ngl some days it's hard to even get out of bed to walk my doggo or feed both of us (often end up giving food only to my dog), so i feel you and i'm very very proud you manage to take care of a whole family
We got this, even if there are some relapses, we're strong and we'll get through them !
Hugs!
Dont beat yourself up ...you have done an awesome job so far...stay positive...love watching xxx
Thanks for this ❤️❤️❤️
I have suffered from bouts of depression for years and can really hear myself in your dialog.
You’re doing amazing!!! Don’t beat yourself up, you started on tackling the organization and that’s a big step ❤️
Haha, I totally feel you on the rake and garbage can 😂 I don't know what destroys a house quicker 4 boys or homeschooling... I bet it's a close call.
You have people living in your house; it will get messy. You are doing amazing things!
Jessie Anell
You can do it!!! Decluttering is like an onion. Layer after layer. I have been decluttering for 2 years and am still going. Keep putting one foot in front of the other. You are doing amazing! ❤️
That has been the biggest eye opener. Here I thought I would be one and done, but now I am seeing it is an on going process that gets easier.
You said it -You can only do your best :) And we will go with you on this journey ! Love and Prayers for you !
“Imagine all the stuff I got rid of being in the mix” I need to remember how far I’ve come! Such a realization
You are doing awesome. Showing up for your kids is more than enough. Hugs to you. I GET IT.
I really appreciate your honesty and transparency. It just makes us that more supportive of you 🙏✨💕
This means more than you know ❤️❤️❤️
You are not alone.
This is just real life. You are doing great, just keep going one day at a time. Thanks for sharing the real life.
Fab video. Sorry to see you so down, but love seeing someone else like that, so relatable. Felt like I was watching me.
Slob comes clean, does a 5 min pick up with family each day. I think you would really notice a difference for yourself doing that.
I think alot of ppl that have children never have an immaculate house they have an organised or manageable messes bless you
You did a good job, don't beat yourself up about it.
Thanks Michele ❤️❤️❤️
It does take a toll being busy and homeschooling…girl I get you. I’m so glad 😀 you made this video and get the job done! Nice work!
Thank you for sharing your real life with us. I have thyroid issues and when my children were little all my energy went into work and taking care of them so, I completely understand. It is so helpful for others to see they’re not alone in struggling to deal with housekeeping issues.
Ah thanks for sharing your struggle too. We need to stop putting so much pressure on ourselves, don't we.
Please remember that Decluttering and Organizing is not A One and Done project
It's a journey not a destination
You have growing kids and life changes day by day.
So you will be doing the decluttering of toys and kids clothes they grow out of...till they grow up into adults.
Involve the kids in the process each time and make chore lists for each room that they can do
It helps them be part of the process and teaches them life long skills for cleaning and organizing and taking care of a home and their things
**Hugs**
When you will be ready start again we r here with you 🥰
It's a process & a learning opportunity for all of you. Just decluttering alone is a great start.
And your 3 kiddies are a joy!!
Love to you all from Scotland, UK. 💖
Shannon you do a fantastic job of taking care of your kids!!! Stay strong ❤
Cleaning a mess can wait until you feel better 🤗
So thankful I found your channel. I have been stuck and overwhelmed trying to figure out how to organize my craft room and make it a place that is peaceful and inviting, to me, instead of overwhelming, disorganized and confusing. I've watched a million craft room tour videos, hoping that would help. It hasn't. At all. It wasn't until I found your channel that I actually got started. Everyone shows the "after" picture. Your channel is the first one I found that is honest enough to show the "before" - the stage where I am. I just can't thank you enough. Your honesty has been a great help to me. Thank you so much!!
Thank you for this sweet comment. So happy to have you over here on my channel
I love this so much, Elizabeth. ❤️
The house still looks amazing! Exercise does wonders for my depression. I know how you feel but the dark clouds will lift!
Be strong… we are all supportive and no judgment ever…
I added your video to playlist. Next one box challenge is June 30th.
Yes take two on the closet. My thoughts go out to you on healing through your depression. You are doing fabulous and I love the laundry make over.
Thanks Cheryl ❤️❤️
I so appreciate your candor. You are not in this alone. Your videos are inspiring and you are awesome. 🙂
Thanks Jennifer ❤️
None of those rooms are terrible... you have three kiddos. Your house is lived and and expected when there are 3 kids in the house. Dont get down on yourself. Just look at the progress and keep going.
Be kind to yourself. You and your family made huge strides. I would love to see once you do the garage you taking another pass through the whole house. I bet you will find, just like your craft closet, you held on to a ton of things you weren't ready to let go of yet, but now are.
Especially with kids life is a constant decluttering event.
Thank you for this sweet encouragement 😍
