    Great work here. Our world would be so empty if we all thought and processed information in the same way. Recognizing this truth should be the core of teaching education. I am happy something took the time and put in the effort to plainly explain this to everyone else.

    What would creative intelligence be? People who can easily draw, create things easily. would that be visual and kinesthetic?

    • @lowereastsideastrologist7769
      @lowereastsideastrologist7769 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Higher association between distant elements. A lot of mental tinkering with ideas.

    • @rogainegaming6924
      @rogainegaming6924 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Creative intelligence to me would be coming up with and applying various ideas. Kinesthetic intelligence is something like sports or medicine, a very kinesthetically intelligent man would be very skillful and very good at knowing anatomy and how to manipulate the human body. If you ever want to see what I mean by this, look up an olympic Judo competition and see how they move. Every one of those men and women know the human body and how it moves and reacts in a way that would make the average persons head spin.

    • @rogainegaming6924
      @rogainegaming6924 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Thomas Clark How so?

    • @SharpCookie
      @SharpCookie 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Great question! This would depend on which avenues you express your creativity because any of the different types of intelligence can be creative. If you're more creative in the visual arts like drawing or sculpting, that would fit well with visual-spatial intelligence. If you're a dancer, it would be body-kinesthetic. If you're into acting or theater, that would be verbal, interpersonal, and body-kinesthetic. And of course, if your creativity is musical, then that would be musical intelligence. Hope that helps!

    I like categorizations like this. But also they are "just" models which are not always consistent.
    I can be actually quite good in one thing and do another quite badly which would fall into the same category of intelligence and I don't think these are exceptions nor am I the only one experiencing that. For example I think I'm very aware about some things about myself while I often can't explain my emotions and how the came but both would be intrapersonal.

    Just because you're good at math doesn't mean you can think logically about other issues. Logic is a separate skill. Math and spacial ability use a different part of the brain.

    a) purpose of the video i think is better to understand yourself everyone have different point of view for the things
    b) i am a kind of visual and intrapersonal intelligence because i can easily learn from the picture that I don't understand through theory i can learn from picture by sitting alone and talk to myself.
    c) different people have different intelligence like some people like to study science but some not that's all based on their interest and all about there attention they are paying for the thing.

    I have a question. I know this show where a 6th grader got a C on book report he worked very hard on and failed a math quiz. The teacher said "he did the best he could, he just didn't understand the material," and he considered the failure his own. Those were the only clips about the boy. What type of intelligence would we say he has?

    I think it comes down to definitions here. we are trying to describe concepts and mechanisms we don't fully understand with an imperfect language. I believe that this area of psychology is much more intricate and nuanced than perceived. yes, you could indeed call these intelligences, but the word intelligence has already been defined as something concrete and measurable. my personal definition of intelligence encompasses more and to include the multiple intelligences is just my way of redefining the word intelligence to mean something more. to me, intelligence describes your brain's ability to do anything and the level of intelligence is determined by your brain's ability to do those things (how well it does these things). I don't believe that these intelligences are separate from one another but more that they exist as part of a singular intelligence. there is one intelligence made up by the brain's faculties but I like to describe these multiple intelligences as such because they are abled by the one intelligence. So in conclusion: I don't actually believe that there are different forms of intelligence, but I do like to define intelligence in a way that allows any process within the brain to be a product of intelligence and therefore these multiple intelligences, what Peterson describes as talents, are parts of one's intelligence. This is just what feels most true to me and I would love to gain more insight by debating this.
    Maybe I misunderstood and actually agree with Jordan? Open my eyes!

    • @shivamsharma7084
      @shivamsharma7084 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      These theories of intelligence are not Jordan Peterson's. In fact they are very old, and the one that you just mentioned, perhaps unknowingly, is the g factor theory. Which states that there is only one General intelligence. And it is somewhat true. Intelligent people generally have more competence in general, in any domain they put their hands in. Music, dancing, math, political science, chemistry, economics, Psychology, english. But at the same time, we find people who are, like you mentioned, talented. Tbh it is very difficult to understand intelligence, and hence almost impossible to generalise it. That's probably why we have like 6 theories of intelligence.
