Drove the 2 wheel drive Eclipse cross exceed. For its price its got the most safety features. It drove really well in the city and it was quiet. Best bang for buck.
The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross performed superbly on a high speed moose test. It's got great handling, advanced safety tech and a high quality interior. Sounds fairly promising.
JUST GOT MY ECLIPSE CROSS GT.. destroys all those other cars.. did i mention 10 years warranty and 10 roadside assistance.. AND DROP DEAD GORGEOUS best all wheel control on the market
The Jeep dealer that supplied that car needs to ease off on the Armour All. No need to shine up all the leather and surfaces like that! It's all greasy 😝😝
I dont really understand this comparison, why would you even include the escape in these test when clearly its not in the same category as the other cars, you should have done a review of the escape against the likes of the crv,rav4,santa fe to make it a legit comparison.
getting an escape trend 2.0T 178kw new gear box 6 speed torque converter and not the old dct which ford have lost alot of customers with all the problems like my wife who has had with her fiesta. people are heading to Hyundai kia Nissan. ford australia are now doing partial refunds-whole refunds based on these issues. Ford covered my wifes loan on her 2011 fiesta. the fucus and kuga also had the same transmission. we were given a staff discount based on sticking to the brand on a near new ford escape also there's alot of room to negotiate
I would choose between Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross and Jeep Compass. Because they are the only ones that have proper effective AWD, decent looks, and they aren't stolen in my country, like for example Mazda CX5 or VW Tiguan are... Subaru Forester is also very good but probably subjectively not as good looking... Honda CR-V is also very much stolen car in my country...
If you’re gonna review the Escape, then at least review the 2017 model you showed the exterior for because that interior shown is certainly not a 2017 or newer one. It’s an interior from the 2013-2016 model. All credibility for this review just went out the window. Anyways the Escape is better than any of the others in Titanium trim with the 2.0 Ecoboost!
John Smith Thank you for the warning. I did some research and you are right about the Kuga box. It was a VW style dual clutch and it was terrible. However, apparently the new Escape has a normal/proper 6 speed auto, thank god, because I still can't go past that hot hatch type engine in the Escape.
Lmao the escape?? The Tucson had the best interior and smoothest ride and the escape with the ugly interior won.. typical Aussie they just care about power
Interesting review. Looks like you folks get stuck with all the same engine/tranny combos as we do in the US versions of these cars. Personally, I think the Ford is the most engaging to drive of the four (I've driven all - only diff being the steering wheel is on the left, of course) and I love love love the timeless but highly underrated Ford keypad entry system that allows you to lock your keys in the car when you don't want to risk losing them at the beach, amusement park, etc.) but I think I'd still press my luck on the Compass as it's the only one available stateside with a manual. The Escape and Mazda Tribute used to be available here with manuals, at least on the base versions. Apparently only 15 or 20 people bought them. Such as shame.
Lol 😆! Most replies judging the looks of the vehicles. Shoot your spending a ton of money. Judge by reliability best quality & engine power. Who cares how a vehicle looks inside & out. Shallow spoiled world! 😆🤓🥴!
Me too I would take the Escape for the engine power and the cheapest one. But Australians don't want any American or European cars so..... Is not selling good.
Ford Escape won this test, with that stupid interior, the lowest legroom in its class, the thirstiest and what more the least equipped as well You guys must be kidding!!
But if you read the specs of all four cars (available in the video) the car with more power and torque is the Ford and is the least expensive of them all. So, more power, less money, the best buy is the Ford, in my opinion.
Ponygt 662 the Jeep also had an option pack for all of its driver assistance features and there is a similar one available on the Ford Escape Trend with adds ACC (adaptive cruise control), BSM (blind spot monitoring), LDW (lane departure warning) and pedestrian detection witch is worth it
I test drove Eclipse Cross Sports Edition last week. It was smooth to drive. I am going to pick up the car next week 😎
Just purchased eclipse cross
Love the interior getting around 28 mpg combined

Hell yeah buddy
Hell yeah boiiii
Eclipse all the way. A practical person would buy Mitsubishi Eclipse.
I like the look of the Jeep. But the Eclipse Cross wins for me on price and interior.
Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross
There are no ventilated front seats in the Eclipse Cross, only heated.
I own the same Mitsubishi as the one you reviewed, the exceed, and it’s the best car iv ever owned I’d never change to another.
1. eclipse
2. tucson
3. ford
4. jeep
Really looking at getting the escape se. any pointers or input would be appreciated an welcomed.
The Jeep interior looks prehistoric. I would take the mistubishi over the other 2.
Take the jeep compass because it's 9 speed and off road capability and look beautiful
that transmission is horrible and no one goes offroad in these cars
Yep all you'll be faced with their reliability
@@Mgoblagulkablong no it's not horrible at all. It was only problematic in the 2015 Cherokee. They fixed it.
@ekim andersom This vehicle has proven to be reliable.
I just traded my Escape for Mitsubishi. Not that Eclipse Cross tho, but an Outlander. It has the best AWD system and 10 years of power-train warranty
The Jeep dealer that supplied that car needs to ease off on the Armour All. No need to shine up all the leather and surfaces like that! It's all greasy 😝😝
Eclipse best....
Mitsubishi Best
I love the cross!
2019 RAV4 debuts at NYIAS this weekend. Supposed to be good...
Defs gonna buy the Eclipse cross
Jeep compass
1 hyundai Tucson
2 Ford kuga
3 mitsubishi eclipse cross
4 jeep compas
The rest of the cars are on their high trims why not for the tucson i wonder
WTF IS THAT AT 3:10? A Chevy SS - El Camino?
Adonis Keef it’s a Holden commodore, a performance car
Mitsubushi cross is the best
Tucson of course

MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE cross first❤
I will take the tucson but they need to update the headlight just like the new santa fe.
The compass isn't $41k, unless u want the gold plated model. A latitude in the U.S.A. is around $26k.
41k in aud

Compass jeep, the best 👌.

I'd take the Escape just for that engine!
John Smith Thank you for the warning. I did some research and you are right about the Kuga box. It was a VW style dual clutch and it was terrible. However, apparently the new Escape has a normal/proper 6 speed auto, thank god, because I still can't go past that hot hatch type engine in the Escape.
Completely different gearbox in Escape
Poor fuel economy
Lmao the escape?? The Tucson had the best interior and smoothest ride and the escape with the ugly interior won.. typical Aussie they just care about power
They do, v8 is gone

ilike misubishi eclipse cross
dont buy escape our family ford escape 2016 has problem with the gearbox it has been 1 year of waiting.
Every Ford I’ve ever owned as had problems I’d never buy another
Jeep by far! The rest are too boring looking and driving plus and SUV must have off road capabilities otherways its just an oversized saloon.
The Jeep doesn't have a DCT.
That Jeep interior is complete shit
nice video
The steering wheel is on the wrong side.
mushroomcloud1, you are on the wrong side.
65% of all cars in the world are left hand steering.
35% are on the right.
I am correct.
So? there is no correct or wrong side.
outside would be wrong, would it not?
So there is a wrong side.
Do you realize that the reviewer is in Australia, using cars that have the steering wheel on the side that is used in Australia?
The Jeep looks cheap and nasty
Michael Simpkins just like your mother
looks & is
I wanted the ford but it is boring from outside and ugly inside. I bought the eclipse and it was good choice.. for me :)
Lol 😆! Most replies judging the looks of the vehicles. Shoot your spending a ton of money. Judge by reliability best quality & engine power. Who cares how a vehicle looks inside & out. Shallow spoiled world! 😆🤓🥴!
The Ford Escape 2.0 trans+engine is the best in its class.
Me too I would take the Escape for the engine power and the cheapest one.
But Australians don't want any American or European cars so.....
Is not selling good.
Tucson sits above all.
1 eclipse an rest
Mazda CX-5 is actually the best!
That's another segment, upper.
No!... Mazda doesn't have proper 4x4...
Its lacks excitement to watch. 🤔😴
I’d rather spend a bit extra and get the 5008 Tiguan cx5 or crv
you meant 3008, 5008 is another category.
So boring to watch😴😴😴😴😴😴

Compass all day
WELCOME THE "2019 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE CROSS," ALSO KNOW AS "THE 2019 PONTIAC ATZEC 2.0....." 😐
The Ford Escape in America is a lot better
Mitsubushi cross is the best
