Maybe I'm mistaking something but during Claire campaige in RE2, there were an outdoor part of the department with 2 stairs close to each other. These stairs were more "depth"-y and they led to some closed room, but still.
6:39 this room also exists in the original Resident Evil 2 Remake Game. You can even see the door which was closed with wooden planks in DBD. I suppose that they modeled the whole map like it is in the original game. Then they decided what suits DBD. I mean... this room doesn't really do anything. Even in the original it is a dead end. So I think they decided to close it because it is no use.
Deprecated Hawkins is only to add the yellow fog and give room for pustula plants for that event, but ultimately it wasn't completed in time for the event, so it's just an unused asset map. Because the base map is very tight, it would have to be widened to add the event objects properly without breaking everything else.
Kinda funny, considering you can still have the Pustula Plants in Hawkins if someone has the Archive for it still. (I still do and never finished it for that reason)
Hi there! I have to say, not a big fan of swamp maps. However! If we would 4 of them that be amazing since there aren´t enough of these types of levels! That is were usually the frustration comes from. Hope to see these get made aware of more and the devs can implement them after all these years!
The boarded off room from the raccoon city prototype is actually an accessible (storage closet) room in resident evil. Maybe it was originally intended to be accessible in dbd as well.
Mostly the unused maps/assets are only for developer tests to see how something works on different realms. the swamp 3 map is the old version from pale rose with backwater swamp combined as one Map. Like the old Pale Rose version. They using some combined maps to test its everything working in there function. Or they left that alone and put it in the live build but forgetting to remove that from the build.
Backwater was unfinished in the first version of a game, because Behaviour planned to introduce 4 killers. Autoheaven was map for killer named Bob - the Wish version of Michael Myers, but they got Halloween licence and decided to introduce 3 killers, quickly changing Wraith story (originally associated with Backwater). I know it from Mint Skull channel if You want to check.
it would be cool if the id badge gets renamed to be more ambiguous and adds some mutant monster *science lab maps, and maybe an Umbrella Corp map. Especially if they add more RE chapters.
@@iSatonakapeer to peer, meaning that players are technically creating/hosting the servers instead of bhvr having dedicated servers that players connect to
That's correct, dedicated servers didn't come in to DbD until around the release of Stranger Things in autumn 2019, so up until that point the games were hosted by the Killer player.
2:14 nowadays they would just push the map out early, full of game breaking bugs. As we speak, updates are being pushed out as fast as possible, with almost no attention being given to the vast number of bugs, which only increases with every update.
The "Insta Mori Hack" I believe was not a hack as in the very old DBD Mori used to allow killers to well.. Mori survivors without hooks. That was around the same time as the BNP instantly completing generators lol. Edit: I take it back. I've checked the time the change was made and when the Huntress was added and it was indeed a hack. Mori was changed to require 1 hook 23 days prior to Huntress' release.
I believe that the leaked small Hawkins map was only used as a test, not a decoy or for a new chapter, what I think happened was that they wanted to remake Underground Laboratory to not be Hawkins so that the map could return as it wouldn't be part of Stranger Things IP. And I know it has a baby demo, but I think they were just reusing assets to see what works, there is no reason to create whole new assets for just a test, it wasn't even a prototype, over just using what they got already. Also, this map has something special, notice the layout of the basement, at the time the basements weren't reworked into those big rooms we have now and yet that basement is almost as big as the current updated ones, further proving it was just a test and not a work in progress map for new chapter.
But the "Elevens Room" and "Rainbow Room"? If they are trying to avoid the IP they wouldn't be basing the map on the stranger things S3. Am I missing something?
@@andregustavo420 so then they most likely had planned a Hawkins rework. If it was supposed to be included in a second stranger things chapter only time will tell
I can remember when people used to sell the Stranger Things DLC codes for a ridiculous price. I saw one of them for £500.
Jesus, all that for a dlc
I’ve seen people actually pay that for the DLC too…. they got boned
I paid 100$ for it
I only paid 25 when the dlc came out Honeslty I’m glad I waited for the chapter to comeback
I got the St dlc for like 330$ but it was a gift from a friend
6:43 this is an accessible room in RE2 remake
6:55 the stairs there remind me of the linked stairs you can find, blocked off, at the entrance of RPD, w the connected tunnel

Oh, that's just patricks house at the end, was gonna be used to for the unreleased spongebob DLC with Mr. Crabs "The Crustacean" as the killer

Fantastic video like always bro
I think it would be really cool to have a second StrangerThings map
I still hope for Stranger Things chapter 2.
Great video, looking forward to future ones!
The fake Hawkins video is so funny. The Gmod text, so many things about it are so silly

wasn't DbD used to be P2P? I remember seeing a clip of hackers showing messages on screen

Yeah, old DBD used to be P2P (Peer to Peer), but they swapped to Dedicated Servers at some point
