Geez… I thought that was the squatter coming up from the basement. That was nerve wracking because you just never know anymore.

I've watched other abandoned home curiosity seekers, & not one has the compassion, or the style of Ethan! His commentary is great. He talks about the furniture, & styles of decorating. The plumbing, woodwork, window treatments. He sure has learned a lot doing this! It's all very interesting! I myself would be looking at the antique furniture & artwork to SELL! Some of the things in these home's that are literally abandoned, it's incredible to me. Keep up the great work Ethan!!! I stumbled onto your channel, & have loved it. All the other's that try & do what you do, there is NOT one better!!! You are the best at what you do! I am interested to know where you are doing these thing's, whether in Canada or the States? That would be interesting to know, I'm not sure why. Thanks again, Ethan!

Quite interesting little neighborhood. It was probably a lot quieter back in the era they were built but a good deal of traffic noise now. Seems like they’ve seen much better days before all the water damage and such. The last home was the coolest in style. Really like the split levels. Probably were so cute back in their day. Creepy basements and crawl spaces. Why are there even crawl spaces in bedrooms? I think that would be too creepy at night when someone is trying to sleep. Thanks Ethan for this fun exploration. Keep safe.

Interesting homes! The big thing that bothers me about abandoned homes, wherever they are, are the cleaning products and medicines left around! People should know enough about leaving them alone, but some poor animal may try them and that would not be good! Stay safe on your explores!

Hey great video i used to live in the second house in 2015 to 2017 then other people moved into to in 2017 til like recently I guess but a little back story is that the whole row of houses were rentals someone bought in like 2014 and then in 2017 someone else took over which was a delevlpoer and he still decided to still keep the houses as rentals for now but then we moved out in 2017 and then the other people moved in and then just recently the developer probably decided to tear it down and rebuild whatever or sell it to a next developer. It is a bit sad to know that its being torn down and how it looks currently in this state it didn't use to look like that had some good memories

You can picture how it was about 30 years ago, the decline seems to have been general over time. Definitely a 50s era group. Some had been hacked about, and changed , but the exteriors were still mostly there. A big chunk of land, too tempting for the re developers, .Cheers Ethan.

Here in the states they call those type of homes a quad level. 4 floors.
A split level is called a bi-level home. Split by 2 levels. And you guessed it. A tri-level home is split by 3 floors. And the floors are usually divided by a short amount if steps in each style home. That style home (bi,tri and quad) were made popular in the 1960s intended for the working middle class.

They took out a whole block of houses built in the 60's in Calgary to build some big Condo project. Seems such a waste of good homes to be demolished. We had pink and black tiles like that in our bathroom that was built in the 40's.

Thinking of the families raised in those houses. I was raised in a small house with two brothers and a sister. Sometimes my uncle stayed when he got into trouble. We had one full bathroom upstairs and just a toilet in the basement attached to the laundry room. My parents built it in the late 50s. My father moved out having lived there for 45 years. Many happy, silly and somber memories.
I think it would be neat if you could stand in a room and hear voices. --it would have to be a sunny day with clear access to the outside

7:25 that’s my fan, down to not having the light installed. Mine is a 1985 vintage. It had upwards of three plus, packs of cigarettes smoked a day, with it, for the about the first, two decades of its life, and four packs of cigarettes a day, averaged for the previous decade, then to now it’s been around a half a pack a day, averaged. The only issue has been the three way pull switch, broke and was on medium. Think about a fan running since 1984 continuity, and with cigarettes being smoked the whole time. The living room is a different model, and it doesn’t like being turned off, and it will complain for a week or more, after I turn it off. Sometimes, it will start up slowly and I will assist it with starting. That is one tough fan. I guess you could say, that I am a fan, of that fan.
