I saw them in Poland around 2003. Maybe 2001. They came to tha shithole at the end of Poland. In tha bus. Kinda Scooby Doo bus... There were 4 of them with a tiny female bassist... And I didn't know what to expect... They played for around 20 people... It was one of a kind experience and I will never ever forget it

Agata and Yako were always the only official band members. Their drummer changed pretty much every tour and album, and while Rikah played bass for them for over 20 years she was never an official member for some reason. So...while they certainly killed it as a full band, these two ARE Melt Banana and always have been.
I was so nervous to approach them on stage after their show at First Unitarian in Philly but Yasuko O was so nice and signed my ticket. Love the band so much :)

I remember reading about them opening for like Dillinger Escape Plan and Mr Bungle or something and them just getting booed. I was sad to hear that.

@@kakaok szczerze nie spodziewałem się odpowiedzi, dzięki !!
While you can't beat them as a full band, these two always kill it. Great footage.

I saw them as a 2 piece, I would have loved to see the full band.
Rika is fucking amazing! She's so tiny and killing it on a bass guitar that is bigger than she is.
@@u.sonomabeach6528 Agree she's an incredible bassist to watch with a guitar that swamps her.
@@rorz999 I heard she dropped out for a different career after that Fukushima disaster
I wanna shake their hand and thank them for their music, one of my all time favorite bands.
I've seen them live 14 yrs ago in my city
@@johnmiller-jf3ez Nice!!
i got to do that in a small club in my town probably 20 years ago, electrifying live show when they had a full band
I was so nervous to approach them on stage after their show at First Unitarian in Philly but Yasuko O was so nice and signed my ticket. Love the band so much :)
I've been bingeing lots of obscene extreme footage lately and this is definitely one of the most wild performances so far.
Haven't listened to these guys in two years. It's nice to see they're still a duo and playing fetch songs, that's my favorite sound of theirs.
this is probably the first time i see such a happy 12 years old dance by Crusties. this vid is gold.
I really miss the full band!
yea man same, i think they might have a new bassist or drummer
Me too!
Oh? Did something happen to the rest of the band? I was curious why there was only 2 on stage.
They've been touring as a duo since they put out Fetch. I prefer it this way, actually.
***** its a tight sound but i feel its missing omething
That was good! Such energy, really sent chills all over the place.
It is weird to see them without Rika on bass.....
Time traveler here. I come back to 2021 to see what's doin. I'm afraid of losing my hearing. I was at this event but i wasnt at this event.
Love Melt Banana! Try to see them live!
Saw them a few years ago at Nottingham Uni.Great evening.
theres always a moment to dance at obscene extreme i love it!
completely unique and unfeasibly amazing live. Love em.
Buenisimos!!

RAIDEN WINS

I just dont understand the 19 dislikes... perfect set!
Probably elitists that hate the fact that they’re using a machine live
playstation vita?
Numark orbit.
4:42 oh god
Super....de años lo vuelvo escuchar!!
Looks like a fun stinky crowd!
They are just amazing
this is the best live concert i have ever seen
Yako
Saw you guys in 2006 in Columbus,Ohio at Scullys. Yes there was a small mosh pit and it was fun!
Saludos desde Monte Grande, Argentina!
Para cuando melting banana en pika rock

Pretty great really.
Melt banana. The most extreme for the longest time.
I LOVE THAT BAND SO MUCH!!!
This intro sound like from other diemension. Pure Art!!!
Most polite stage diving ever
the Japanese always took things in a whole level.
Going to see them soon! June 4th in Kansas City I want to see if I can get a mosh pit going
i have a date tomorrow, i think he is taking me to see Melt Banana at the Barbican, i think he could be a keeper =)

I fucking love her. Amazing music!
any insight into what kind of device she has on her hand the whole time and what it controls and activates? it seems to me kinda motion sensitive? or am i overthinking it.
Chris Arturigon I think it’s the Numark Orbit
does anyone know if the first 1:30 is a track? Seems like just improv cuz can't find it anywhere
do you mean "Chain-Shot to Have Some Fun"?
How does the device thing Yasuko is using work? Does she trigger sounds and effects through certain motions? I don't see her pressing any buttons
it's just a midi controller that she uses to trigger the drum tracks and bass tracks in Ableton
japanese always bring a good taste
Do you know the names of the songs? I know only the second one, it is the Hive (i hope:-) )
I think the first song is Chain-Shot To Have Some Fun
Second song is The Hive.
1:45 - Chain-Shot to Have Some Fun
4:36 - The Hive
6:46 - Vertigo Game
8:26 - Lie Lied Lies
thanks!
6:46 is Vertigo Game
Anyone know if that into is on an album??
seen them with the locust wayyy back with full band, still think she sounds cute.
Same here dude. Unforgetable.
Check out Thom Yorke having a good time in the front row. 😁
Thom yorke was there?
7:35 what's the name of his dive?
Bob
Confused where the drums are coming. Can someone explain? However this is a great set.
Most likely playback
Probably they're using a pre-recorded drum and bass track like Ween in their early shows
Рад видеть! Но где ударник??
Songs name?
Last song?
LEGENDS
AWESOME
PS Grind?
Lol
Loved this band since I first heard them.
Turn her mic up
Is that the coolest place in earth yes or of course?
There's a lot of confused faces at the start of this video, and still quite a few confused faces at the end of it! MxBx rule!!!
Now that's a show

idk, at a punk show maybe? You know, because they're...a punk band? Duh?
