    Have been using their ready made sauces - they really are that good, we don't order take away anymore!

    I make a similar recipe base gravy but I freeze it for months.

      Same as, I don't see why it's only frozen for a month?
      You would end up throwing loads out unless you were eating curry every day!

    Love what you guys are doing just lately. Keep it up.
    Don't know if this is an appropriate place to ask. But I bought some of your packaged BIR base gravy pouches. And although I've seen you say they don't need to be frozen, I wondered if they *can* be frozen, I eat a lot of curry but I probably bought a bit too much and don't want it to go to waste :)

      Hi J J, yes the gravy can be frozen without any issues. Let us know if you need anything else. Thanks

      Hi Matt, the gravy should last around 3 days in the fridge or up to 1 month in a freezer. Thanks

    i don't live in the UK so i can't order the mix powder. Would Al's or mistyricardo's mix powder substitute well in this?

      Yes, you could substitute with any mix powder. Thanks

    What is BIR mixes powder ?

    • @EastatHome
      @EastatHome  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jeff, Mix powder is a mix of spices that restaurants use to speed up cooking, rather than adding individual spices each time a blend is premixed - this also helps with consistency. You can buy it here www.eastathome.com/product/buy-bir-mix-powder-online/. Thanks

    This is the first base gravy I’ve seen that doesn’t contain coriander leaf, carrot and bell pepper.

      Hi Phil, we prefer to keep our base gravy simple as the main flavour comes when adding the additional spices and ingredients to the curry. You can of course add coriander, carrot and pepper but the difference in taste is minimal once you've cooked the final curry.

      Get a grip pal. It's just a simple quick and good curry base. No need to get your knickers in a twist.
