Hello John takes me back seeing you trotting not many people do it now even on rivers I see people using poles there's no better feeling seeing the float dissapeare and the rod tip bend into a good fish thanks for the memory many thanx stay safe .
@@HOOKEDFishingChannel well where I live I've got the River Severn which is looking beautiful at the moment I shall be going Saturday really looking forward to it, as always many thanx
I need to get genned up on the stick method. I’m sure there’s a small stretch of the River Don or River Loxley near me I can find. Be nice to just pick up all the gear I need in one hand and stick it in car and go! 😊
Definitely mate, you've got to make the most of these summer evenings, short sessions after work, using up a bit of bait or whatevers lying around in the kitchen cupboard. I went and fattened up some of the chub with my left over casters tonight, didn't fish but just walked another stretch looking for likely spots and showing fish.
last time i was up there i fished about 5m on the pole , had some nice carp and roach lost a few carp , they fight like crazy[ on steroids i think ] that was on meat and pellet ,but i have seen people catch on the feeder and floating bread
Hi Jack, yes I was on the 14ft, way too long for the tight swims but that's what i took. If I go back, I think one of my 12ft pellet waggler rods would be better.
Tonto D tried at the weekend but didn't get any as levels so low and drew a bad area but this weekend is Northern River Masters on the Ouse below York, there;s some water in it now, maybe too much but hopefully it will fine down for Saturday and I'll draw on some fish - there's plenty of bream below York, just hope they;re hungry.🐟🎣😀
Thanks. I'll do my best to get some decent footage, not easy self filming and competing but if I can get the cameras setup close to hand it's easier, limits the number of angles cos I don't mess about moving them when match fishing.
Nice to see an" all round angler" once in a while, well done buddy.
Thanks Richard

You're welcome as ever P. I'll be doing some more at some point, been eyeing a few spots up on different rivers, need to get the waders on though 😉

Can't say I'd ever heard of it. Is that the one at Thirsk? I used to fish Woodlands a lot but probably haven't been for 20 years.

I'll give it a go when my calendar allows, any tips on how to approach it?

Should have been above the weir where the old tannery used to be
What length rod are you using? The Foss isnt very wide, i feel like my 13ft rod would be to long xD

Hi Tonto, it's naturals all the way for me, I'm a river angler through and through but I dabble at most things as you're probably aware.
cant beat bid naturals lol@@HOOKEDFishingChannel
Next 3 videos are matches on naturals. Not sure what's after that, maybe barbel fishing. What would you like to see?
